? TWELVE DAYS LATER ?

“Rise and bow to the Alpha King and Luna of Donia Kingdom.” Eunuch Cole called out when Mia and I got to the entrance of the throne hall.

The 17 officials instead of 18 (Old Ben was stripped off his title) rose to their feet and bowed to us as we strode towards the Royal Seats.

“The King and Luna are seated,you may take your seats.” Eunuch announced. Mia flashed me a bright smile when our eyes met.

“Bring forth the prisoners!” Derrick said.

Warriors dragged Old Ben and Daniel Into the hall. Daniel was Old Ben’s son who happens to be my best friend and closest relative.

“And here comes the enemies of Donia Kingdom! Treacherous fellows!” I said loudly while everyone laughed.

“And here are their -“

I interrupted Eunuch. “Don’t read out their offences Cole. We already know their crimes in the previous hearing.” Mia and Lionel had testified against old Ben and his Son just to prove Alpha Zion’s Innocence.

“On this final hearing,Old Ben are you guilty or not guilty?”

He didn’t respond instead his head was bowed in shame. Eunuch Cole repeated his words.

“I am guilty.” Old Ben said.

“No,we are not guilty!” Daniel shouted. Everyone gasped in shock.

“Speak out Daniel.”

“My father deserves Donia Throne!”

“Why do you think your father deserves this throne?”

“My father helped your father win the war against Crescent Pack.”

“So it that enough reason to wage war against me and also abduct my mate?!”

“Yes.”

“But your father isn’t the only one who helped my father fight that war! There are many other here who supported him and my father rewarded everyone greatly by making them officials in the court!”

“Please pardon him,it wasn’t his fault. I had my eyes on the throne not him.” Old Ben pleaded.

“Father don’t beg for mercy,we deserve the Donia Throne since his father failed in fulfilling his promise to establish a province where you would rule as a leader!”

“Old Ben,did my father make such promise to you?”

“Yes,he did at war times.”

“Do you have a Royal document for his statement?”

“No,he just stated it but he didn’t fulfill it because he became so sad after your mother’s death.”

“But he should have fulfill it!” Daniel gritted.

“That’s not enough reason but let’s just say you are greedy for power!”

“You are right.” Old Ben admitted.

“No Father! Tell him how his father didn’t make you a king while he was growing up when his father was too weak to rule.”

“Daniel we are guilty. His father never promise to make me king,I was only angry that he didn’t make me his Beta or Gamma.”

“What? Why you didn’t tell me about it?”

“I am sorry.”

“You went back and try to form an alliance with Alpha Zion,the same enemy we tried to get rid of.”

“Now the enemy’s child is your Luna.” Daniel snorted.

“I know everything you did,how your father abducted Mia just to get her father to work with you to dethrone my father. Alpha Zion never sent those spies,he accepted defeat the moment he lost the war to my father!”

“Yes,I was behind it all. I know I am guilty but I beg you to let my son go.”

“So he can go and build up his armies again.” One of the officials said.

“Your son isn’t Innocent! He kidnapped my mate! Tortured her! And even promised to take her as his mistress ones he gets the throne.”

“Did you really say that to her?” Old Ben asked his son.

“What’s so bad about it?” He snorted.

“I trusted you Daniel. You were like my right hand man. I treated you well..”

“If I was your right hand man then you should have made me your Beta.”

“Then you would have succeeded in taking over my Kingdom.”

Daniel laughed. “So smart…I would have taken it.”

“Stop it Daniel!” Old Ben silenced him

“This isn’t over Sky!” Daniel said.

“This is my judgement. Old and Daniel and his men are to be executed publicly tomorrow by 12:00pm for Treason. And this would really serves as a lesson to the rest of you. If anyone tries to wage war against me I would kill him and his whole family.”

“This isn’t over Sky!” Daniel screamed as they dragged him away.

“It is over Daniel!”

“Have mercy Sky!” Old Been begged me

“Take them away!” I ordered. I waved at Daniel as he was dragged out of the hall.

“I want to reward my loyal servants today. Derrick,I am giving you a new home right in the palace. You can move in with your family.”

“Thank you My King!” He bowed.

“Kelvin,you’ve been promoted to being the personal guard to the Luna.”

“Long live the king!” Kelvin bowed.

“Eunuch Cole you’ve always wanted to have a holiday outside the palace,so I grant you two weeks break from your Royal duties. And you are permitted to meet your family and relocate them to Donia Kingdom.”

Eunuch Cole was shocked he fell down on the knees with tears in his eyes. “Long live the Alpha King Sky!” He cried out.

“And to Kira the witch, I approve your request to establish a School Of Magic in Donia Kingdom.”

I am mated to a witch,so no doubt our offsprings would have powers because of their mother’s lineage.

“Derrick would take you to the place I have prepared.”

“Long live the Alpha King!” She bowed.

“And to all my officials,your titles are still in place. Thank you all for your loyalty to this kingdom!” They all clapped.

“Long live the King!” Eunuch Cole called.

“Long live the king!” They said In unison.

“Long live the Luna!” Derrick shouted.

“Long live the Luna!”

? FIVE YEARS LATER ?

“Charlotte! Wait up! Charlotte! You can’t talk to papa now.” I heard Mia’s voice and before I knew it the office door flung open and my little princess came running to me.

“Papa! Papa! Papa!” In a quick movement,she crawled on my laps and then positioned herself on my desk.

“Charlotte?” Mia sighed out when she entered the room with Charlie in her arms.

“She’s a girl but she’s got so much energy like a boy.” Mia rolled her eyes as she came closer and dropped Charlie on my laps too.

We had twins a year after we got married and we named them Charlie and Charlotte.

Charlie loves spending time with his mom while Charlotte loves staying around me. She loves doing manly things like watching warriors train and also riding horses which seems to be her favorite. My four years old princess doesn’t like doing womanly things like learning how to sew and dance or even spend time in the kitchen with her mom. But Charlie loves stayng in the kitchen with the maids and his mom. He also likes watching the warriors fight in the field,recently I got a wood carver to make him a sword of his size and Charlotte pestered me to make one for her too but Mia insisted I should get her a magical book which I did.

My kids are adorable and cute and we love them so much. I would never trade my kids for anything in the world. I spend most times in the office tending to the Kingdom issues and whenever I am less busy I take the kids out for a walk in the gardens. Those times with them are the best moments for me.

“Charlotte, it’s time for school.” Mia tried to pick her up but she refused.

“I don’t want to go Mama.”

Charlotte is a special wolf with powers like her mom. At three, we enrolled Charlotte into the School of Magic owned by Witch Kira. But she doesn’t want to learn how to be a witch.

“Charlotte?”

“No Mama, I don’t wanna go.”

“You need to learn how to be a good witch and use your superpowers.” Mia rubbed her cheeks.

She shook her head in disagreement as she picked up a pen from my desk. “Dada,I wanna ride a horse. Sir Derrick promise to keep me ride his baby horse.”

“You’ll do that some other time princess.” Charlotte made a face as if she was gonna cry when I collected the pen from her.

“Don’t be such a cry baby…go to school and learn how to be a witch.” Charlie stick out his tongue at her.

“I’m not gonna cry…wimp.” she hissed.

“No..no..don’t insult your brother.” Mia said

“He called me a cry baby!” She reached out to pinch him but I held her hand.

“That’s enough princess.” I kissed her hand.

“Come on let’s go Charlotte,teacher Camille is waiting.”

“I don’t wanna see her.”

“Little princess,don’t keep your teacher waiting…” I rubbed her cheeks.

“No..no…I…I..want to ride a horse.” She posted.

“Let’s make a deal..” I said.

“Okay…”

“I will ask you three things about superpowers -“

“Honey? She’s -” I silenced Mia with a kiss in the air.

“So princess, if you give me three correct answers then you’ll ride a horse.”

“That’s not fair papa..”

“Really?” She nodded. “Okay..no horse.”

She shook her head. “Okay..I’m..in.”

“Tell me how magic works.” I asked the first question.

She gave me puppy face. “What? Teacher Camille didn’t teach you?”

“She did…but I don’t know.”

“Such a dummy..” Charlie mumbled.

“No insult..” Mia cautioned Charlie.

“How can you control your energy?”

“I don’t know..papa.”

“Come on, Charlotte…Teacher Camille told you.”

“Yes..she did but -” she avoided an eye contact with anyone because she was ashamed.

“Recite a simple protection charm.”

“Dipping…anything from a ring..to..a necklace in salt water..could be used as a protective charm.”

I rubbed her head to signify that she got it correctly. “No horses right?”

I hummed a response. “Little princess,you need to focus and learn how to control your powers.”

“But..I wanna be a warrior like Charlie and learn to fight.” She stated.

“Yes..you’ll be a warrior but I want you to learn magic too. I don’t want you burning down my kingdom someday because you can’t use your powers well.”

“I won’t do that…I mean I won’t burn our kingdom.”

“I want you to be a powerful witch.” Mia kissed her cheeks. “Baby,no riding horses or watching warriors fight until you learn magic.”

Charlotte gave a sad face. I kissed her forehead. “Be cheerful little princess.”

“But papa,can I ride a horse after I know magic?”

“Only Mama can tell.” I replied then she looked at her mom.

“Mama?”

“Impress me then I would consider reversing the ban on horses and warriors.” Mia carried her.

“Okay Mama,I will learn…bye Papa.” She waved.

“Have fun at school!” I waved back.

“So my charming knight are ready to go hunting?”

“Yes papa…I want to hunt down a big black bear.” Charlie tapped on the wooden sword attached to his body.

“Oh really?!”

“Yes..I will hunt down a Lion too!” He said, excitement in his tone.

“Okay!”

I kissed his blondes before picking him up in my arms.

“No papa..I want to walk like a great warrior to the field.” He said.

I laughed hard before I dropped him so he could walk like a great warrior. Sounds like he was trying to imitate Sir Derrick!
