The prison Warder came to a cell filled with six male inmates.
“Who is Dane Kelly?” He asked
The man named Dane Kelly looked at the warder but he didn’t respond. It being long since someone called him by that name.
“Dane Kelly” was his biological name before he changed it after joining MML gang.
“Hey man..aren’t you Dane Kelly?”
An inmate pointed at him
“Okay..Who Is speedy?” The warder asked again then he came down from his bunk and went to the steel cell gate.
“What is it?” He asked the Warder
“Someone is here to see you”
Speedy laughed
“You’re joking right?”
An inmate said to the warder
The warder nodded
“He’s got no family”
An inmate commented
“Yes cause I’m a prodigal son but I never returned home”
Speedy said and they all laughed.
The warder unlocked the cell
“Hey speedy maybe the old man is ready to get you out of here”
Another inmate said to him
The warder placed am handcuff on his wrist
“It better be him cause I’ve waited for too long. And I’m running out of patience”
He said to them
“And you can as well tell him to drop some cash before leaving”
The same inmate said to him before the warder took speedy away.
He saw Frederick Robert when he got to the waiting section, he came with a bodyguard.
Speedy settled in the chair facing him directly.
“You’ve finally come to take me out yif this hell”
Speedy said with a bright smile
“Look speedy I’m still working on it” Frederick replied
And speedy smile disappeared almost immediately.
He placed his locked hands in the table and leaned forward.
“Six years Robert and you’re still working on getting me out of this place” he gritted
“It not easy Speedy” He said
Then speedy realized Frederick hasn’t been working on getting him out of the prison.
He should have believed what his mind had been telling him..for six years now.
The moment the judge sentenced him to Life Imprisonment and also when they rejected his appeal in court. He should have accepted his fate that day. But instead he had threatened to expose Fredrick’s deep secrets.
Frederick had assured speedy that he would get him out of prison even if it meant for him to frame his death and fly him out of his country..but none of that happened. It was easier said than done.
Six years in prison and Frederick was still yet to frame his death and fly him out of the country. The old fool didn’t even come to check him since four years now. He has only been sending money anytime speedy calls from prison.
Frederick should have gotten rid of him a long time ago cause he was the only one alive among the MML gang who knew Fredrick’s secret but he didn’t want to get his hands stained again. He gave up killing people after he killed his step brother and his family.
And he was still thankful that he had spared Speedy life because he was the one that can tell him the truth about Ria.
“You’ve been sentenced” Frederick blurted
He saw no reason to lie to speedy.
Speedy nodded slowly. He tried to control his fury as he wished he could kill Frederick that moment and just end everything.
“So why are you here?”
He asked
Frederick leaned in closely
“I want you to tell me the truth about what happened six year ago” he whispered
“From what I remember – you ordered us to kill your brother and his family”
Speedy said loudly
“Keep your voice down”
Frederick muttered and showed Speedy the bundle of dollars in his suit pocket.
He knew that was the only language speedy understands.
And Frederick was ready to give him note as long as speedy was ready to tell the truth.
“I will give you this money if you answer my questions truthfully”
“And you want me to believe you?” Speedy flashed him a wicked grin.
Frederick removed the money and passed it under the table. Speedy looked around before feeling the notes.
“If you want the truth then slid the money into my boot”
Frederick gestured to his bodyguard to fix the money in his boot And he did it.
Speedy stamps his feet on the floor.
“Good.. now what truth do you want Robert?”
He didn’t ask about his brother or the wife…he knew they were long dead because he was the that arranged for their burials.
“That blind child -“
“What child?”
“My step brother’s child?”
Speedy cocked his brows
“You mean Ria?”
“Yes..tell me did Lucas get rid of the girl that night?”
Speedy shifted uncomfortably in his chair and remained silent.
He swore to Lucas he’d never tell Frederick that he didn’t kill Ria that night.
And he wasn’t going to betray Lucas even If he was dead.
“Yes Frederick. Though he didn’t kill her at their home cause we heard the sirens. We took her with us and Lucas had fun with her in the car. She died in his
hands cause Lucas went too deep with her..then he threw her body off a cliff”
He repeated the same words Lucas told Frederick.
And he knew Speedy wasn’t telling him truth.
“Why are you asking about Ria?”
Speedy asked and hoped Frederick would buy his false story.
“Ria Robert in Chicago” he responded
Then Frederick collected a Brown envelope from his bodyguard and passed it to speedy.
“That’s impossible. Ria Robert is dead” he insisted
He knew Ria won’t survive after Lucas died. It either she had committed suicide after she heard the news of Lucas death or she had died in the fire when the police burnt down Lucas’s den.
No it can’t be that..cause they found no one in the den.
He took out the content in the envelope.
They were pictures of Ria.
It took him extra effort to keep his jaw from dropping.
Ria was alive!
The little blind girl was now a grown up.
A beautiful woman!
And the most surprising aspect was that she could see!
But Speedy wasn’t ready to admit to Frederick that the Lady could be the same blind girl he Knew six years ago.
“Did she resurrect from the dead?”
He asked Frederick
His question was beginning to annoy Frederick.
“This is not Ria Robert. The one I know was blind and she dead six years ago”
Frederick balled his fist under the table.
He thought of paying some officials in prison to torture Speedy until he tells the truth..but he decided against it. Doing that will expose his secret.
“She is the same Ria Robert”
He was 100% sure.
“Can she sew?” Speedy asked
“This Lady is now the latest Clothe designer in Chicago”
Speedy could hardly believe it!
He was aware that Ria liked sewing! And she had even amended some of the workers clothes In The den.
Lucas didn’t allow her at first because he was afraid that she’d try to kill herself with a needle but Ria promised him that she won’t try to do it. Then he allowed her after the promise only when Andrea was around to watch her.
“The lady said it on Tv that she used to be blind before she had her eyes surgery done. And there’s no doubt that she is Ria Robert. So tell me did Lucas kill Ria 6years ago?”
He was silent
And his silence was killing Frederick.
But he was willing to be patient with Speedy.
“It could be the same Ria”
It was pointless telling Robert that Ria was dead. And he figured Robert won’t leave until he tells him the truth.
He said after a long pause.
“The truth is that.. Lucas didn’t kill Ria that year”
And Fredrick’s heart skipped beats.
“He liked her almost immediately and he wanted to take her right there until we heard the sirens. Lucas didn’t allow anymore to pull the trigger at her. So we took her with us. Ria was in our den when you came that night”
“Why didn’t he kill her?”
“I just told you the reason Ria liked her. Lucas liked her”
“So what did he do to her In The Den”
Then Speedy explained everything to Frederick.
“Look at this -“
He showed Frederick his missing right index finger
“Lucas chopped it off when he found out I tried to force myself on Ria. He was in love with her but he couldn’t confess it to her because of the type of man he was..stone hearted and stubborn. And Ria never gave herself to him willing..he forced himself on her every time..and tried to teach her how to bend to his will. Practically Ria was Lucas sex machine or pet cause he went to her anytime he wanted to pleasure himself”
He drew in a deep breathe
“I’m still amused that she survived and she’s doing fine now. To be honest Robert, she really suffered in Lucas’s hands”
“How Long did she stay in the den?”
“About 8 months – Along the line Lucas became desperate to have a child with her. He never used protection cause he felt safe since he was the one who took her virginity”
“So did she get pregnant during those times?”
“Yes but she had a miscarriage..that was before I tried to force myself on her ..about a month before”
“Did she know?”
Frederick asked
“Ria wasn’t aware that she was pregnant..no one knew about it until the day Lucas came to her to pleasure himself..Ria refused him again and then He beat her up like he used to and punched the baby out. He didn’t realized it until her maid told him that Ria was bleeding. It was a bloody scene. It was the doctor that told him that she had a miscarriage. Lucas felt remorseful that day but that didn’t stop him from going back to her. We went for an operation and someone blew our cover, And the cops killed Lucas and two others… that’s all I know,I don’t know how she made it out of Den”
Speedy completed
And they lapsed into silence for seconds.
He sat there staring at Ria’s pictures. And as he admired her! Feelings of guilt washed over him!
He recalled that day he tried to force himself on Ria and what she went through the day he lied to Lucas that She tried to seduce him so he could get her out of the den. He did that to defend himself. He never knew a trusted worker heard everything he did in Lucas’s room.
The worker was disturbed whenever she was asked to give food to Ria and Andrea. She confessed to Lucas when she couldn’t bear it alone.
“Can I keep one of these pictures?” He asked Frederick
“Why?”
He snatched the pictures from Speedy and gave it back to his bodyguard.
“I think I need to ask for her forgiveness. And I’d be glad to meet her if I wasn’t in jail”
“Don’t even think about it..with what you did to her. You think Ria will ever want to see you?”
“I know she won’t want to see me but.. what about you?. Robert think of what Ria would do to you if she finds you. Ria was aware that you sent us. So Robert prepare yourself, you’ll be joining me in here… soon. Because I know Ria won’t sit back and watch you. She will get revenge on You for killing her parents”
“That won’t happen speedy”
He replied confidently
He was sure of himself.
Everything Speedy told him was enough to bring Ria down even before she thinks of getting back at him.
Being a sex machine to an ardent criminal is enough to bring her down. He will act on It and reveal her secret to the world.
She would feel humiliated and too weak to get back at him and she would end up giving up the fight.
But before that Frederick decide that he has to destroy her relationship with the Bryant.
If they find out what he did they would help her bring him down now matter what.
They have the strong connections to dig up the truth which he had buried.
He did a good job at covering up his crimes.
“Ask for her forgiveness and turn yourself In To the police. And don’t try to destroy or get rid of her again cause She went through hell six years ago. She deserve everything she has now”
He said to Frederick finally
“Thanks for the advice”
Frederick said with a croaked smile
He stood up
It high time to silence speedy.
The warder took him away.
“Get rid of him”
He said to his bodyguard when they got to his car.
“Okay Sir”
Frederick knew speedy would be that thankful to him for helping him end his life quickly instead of serving life imprisonment.
Speedy would be out of the picture soon. Then He would have only Ria to deal with.
BACK IN THE CELL
The warder unlocked the handcuff and speedy walked Into the cell.
“Hey man was it that old man?”
An inmate asked
“Yes and that old fool has been lying to me all this time”
“Rich people are bastards!”
An inmate snorted
“He’s coming to join us very soon”
Speedy said
“Deep secrets right?”
An inmate asked
“Yes”
“I’ve always known that the rich are the real criminals”
The inmate replied
“Not all. And I’m sure this one – nemesis will catch up with him soon”
Speedy chuckled as he removed the dollars from his boot.
“Did he give you all of that?”
“Yes in change for truth”
“What truth?”
“You will find out in the news soon… soon Inmates”
He shared the money and gave it out to them

The evil men do is always after them…coming back at them..to hunt them down.
Hmm speedy doesn’t know his days has been numbered on earth?‍♀
Now do you really think Frederick will succeed in killing Speedy???
I know you will say he deserves to die but I think he might be of help in this Case! A big help to Ria!
