?Elva’s POV?

We laid on the grass facing the sky, giggling happily after the picnic.
Mig in the middle,Fleur and i on both sides.

“Seriously i can’t believe we would be in this beautiful garden” Fleur said.
“Who would believe there is a garden here, considering how dirty the underground passage looked” Mig said and we nodded.
“Yeah”
“I’m freaking cold” I said.
“Yeah it’s snowing… should we go in?” He asked and i nodded.
“No i want to stay here forever” Fleur giggled.
“Come-on..do you want to freeze” Mig said standing up,i stood up with him while Fleur still remained on the grass.
“Fleur let’s go in” I said.
“No I’m not” she said with a frown.

“Come on in,i don’t want you freezing in the snow” Mig pushed.
“Aaaargh” She groaned “Okay..I’m feeling kinda lazy to stand up”
“Meaning??” Mig asked.
“Carry me” She pouted.
“Ohh..you think you are still baby Fleur..take my hand and stand up” Mig said.
“Hold on bro,i want to be carried.. please please” She pleaded with puppy eyes.
I saw Mig shrug sending her a glare.
“If my arms should get broken,I’m gonna remove one of yours” He threatened playfully.
“You are way stronger than that bro” Fleur winked and Mig smiled before lifting her in his arms walking inside.

Fleur giggled like a kid and Mig pecked her on the forehead,they both chuckled happily and i felt kinda jealous as i trail behind them.

We got to the living room and Mig dropped Fleur on the couch before going towards the fireplace to set it up.
I sat beside Fleur, hugging my legs to my chest.
Damn…I’m feeling cold.
Mig lit the fireplace and warmth surrounded the living room.
“Hold on,I’m gonna make hot coffee” He said walking towards the kitchen and i smiled.
So caring…
“Cream or black?” He asked loudly from the kitchen.
“Cream” Fleur and i shouted together.
“Okay”

“I can’t wait to resume work tomorrow” Fleur said.
“Me too”
“I’ve missed treating and all” She said.
“I’ve missed the kids a lot”
“Haha” Fleur laughed shortly.
“What?” I asked.
“I heard you fought with Miranda” She said.
“Ohh.. yeah,can you believe she started the kids just because she’s not ready to serve them lunch..”
“Whoa !!” Fleur exclaimed..”that’s cruel”
“Yeah it is”

“Here are your coffees” We heard and saw Mig stretching a small tray containing two cups of creamy coffee to us.
“Thanks” I said and collected it.
I passed Fleur hers and started gulping down mine, with my eyes closed.
Damn..i love the feeling of the hot liquid against my dry throat.
i licked the cream off my lips slowly,then opened my eyes only to catch Mig staring at me.
He quickly turned his face away embarrassed and i almost giggled.

“Damn this coffee is great” Fleur muttered and i nodded.
“But gosh..I’m feeling sleepy” She said rubbing her face with her palm.
She yawned and dropped the empty cup on the couch.
“I gotta go to bed..wake me up after you’ve prepared dinner” She said before walking to her room.

I was quite surprised when Mig suddenly jumped beside me grinning.
“What?” I asked amused.
“Hmm… let’s..let’s play a game” He said.
“Okay..what game?” I asked.
“Card games” He said and shifted closer to the drawer,he opened it and brought out packs of card.
I smiled….I’m quite good at this.
“So you choose what you are gonna do to me if you win and vice versa” He said and i grinned.
He laid out the cards and shared mine to me.
“Now let’s start”

I laughed when i slapped Mig for the up tenth time.
I had said i will be slapping him whenever i win and he said he’s gonna be kissing me whenever he wins.
But so far I’ve been winning and it’s fun slapping those hard cheeks.
I laughed loud again.

“Tch…you mocking me?..I’m not gonna let you win again” He said..
He has said that for the up tenth time,yet he keeps losing.
Or is he losing intentionally?…I guess i will make him win this time.
I can’t resist those red lips anymore.
“Okay let’s start another round” I said.

I responded to his kiss and it grew hotter.
I noticed his hand has begin to sneak under my dress.
I’m enjoying the feeling but i know I had to stop him.
“M-ig stop” I whispered..I don’t want him to stop but i can’t help it.
“Mi-g ple-a-se st-op” I said more clearly.
He placed one last kiss on my lips before sitting up.
I couldn’t even sit straight..I know my cheeks would have gone purple by now.
I faced the other wishing i can disappear to my room.

“Elva” I heard him call and i felt like taking his lips in mine again.
“Elva come-on” He said and i slowly turned to face him.
He laughed on seeing my face.
“Damn…you look more beautiful when blushing” He said and i noticed my cheeks grew hotter.
“I ha-ve to g-o to my ro-om” I stammered standing up but he dragged me back.
Worst still..on his laps.
I started to stand up again but he dragged me back again.
I shifted uncomfortably on his laps, cleaning the sweat that is starting to form on my forehead.

“Wow Elva…you are a blushing queen” He turned my body so i could face him.
I sat on his laps now facing him, i tried not to stare into his eyes cause i know my cheeks might turn black.
“Elva .. we are both matured and i don’t also want to take advantage of you till you regain your memory” He said and i finally looked up at him.
He smiled and cupped my cheeks in his palms.
“You know i love you right?” He asked and i blushed nodding slightly.
“So i can’t hurt you…if you are not comfortable with me kissing you,just tell me okay?” He asked.
“No I’m comfortable with it” I finally voiced out..”I’m just embarrassed” I said.

“Oh… really?” He asked.
“Yes”
“Wow..” He said kissing me again and again and i responded again and again but we didn’t go off limit this time.
I almost jumped out of Mig’s lap when i heard the clearing of a throat.
Fleur suddenly jumped out and started laughing.
“Damn” I muttered placing my head on Mig’s shoulder embarrassed.
“I knew it” She squealed happily.
Mig shrugged like he’s not bothered but damn i am.
“I also knew you didn’t go to bed” He said and she grinned.

“So there is a thing going between you two” She said.
“Not yet” I said.
“Very soon” Mig said and i shifted my gaze to him.
He winked at me,taking my hand in his.
I held on to his hand while looking at Fleur.
“Gosh…Mig has finally fallen in love” Fleur squealed jumping to and fro.
“Damn… she’s a drama queen” I whispered to Mig and we both laughed.
She turned to look at us with questioning gaze.
“You just gossiped about me?” She asked turning on a frown.

She looked around and i know we are in for it.
She picked a log of wood beside the fireplace and turned back to us but Mig and i already flee to the library.
We locked the door behind us and laughed when we heard her banging the door.

Mig and i finished preparing rice cakes for dinner.
He dished it out and i carried it to the dining.
He followed behind me with three glass cups of water.
We met Fleur sitting at the dining with a grin.
We promised her we are gonna prepare dinner before she let us go without hitting that wood on our heads.
We sat down and started eating our dinner.

“I’m running into that lake immediately i come back from work tomorrow” Fleur said.
“Really?”
“Of course..and Mig don’t try anything silly before we get back” She said.
“Anything silly?.. like what” He asked.
“Hmm..” She sighed but couldn’t come up with anything.
“Just don’t try anything silly” She said and Mig smirked.
She faced her meal and Mig quickly whispered “Drama queen” raising his spoon to hit her right in the middle of the head.
I tried hard not to laugh but it came bursting out.

“Why you laughing?” She asked.
“I remembered something at work” I quickly lied.
“Okay”..

We finished having our dinner and took the dishes to the kitchen.
We washed them and clean up the dining while Mig sat in the living room waiting for us.
We dried our hands after we are done and walked back to meet Mig.

“Let’s go to bed guys” Fleur said with a yawn.
“How am i sure that yawn is not fake” Mig said and i chuckled.
“Of course it’s not…you know it’s past my bedtime” She rolled her eyes.
We exchanged goodnights and walked to our rooms.

I quickly freshen up and pulled on my pyjamas before sliding under the blanket.
I switched on the bedside lamp and smiled to myself, remembering what happened between Mig and i today.
I know I’m gonna be his girl very soon..

Ain’t i lucky ?…Of course i am ?

I soon drifted off to sleep and surprisingly i had a dream about a wedding.

Fleur and i got to work, signed in and went our separate ways.
I entered the ward and as usual the kids rushed to me.
I hugged them one after the other before walking to my seat.

I was about setting down when i heard a knock.
“Come in” I said.
A nurse walked in.
“Good morning Mrs Wilson” She said.
“Good morning” I replied.
“Doc. Steph calls for you” She said.
“Okay thanks..I will go see him now” I said and she nodded before walking out.

“Hey cutie pies..I’m coming” I said before walking out heading to Doc. Steph’s office.
I met Ben on the way but i walked past him even after he said “hi”
I’m yet to forgive him.

I knocked gently on Doc Steph’s door and he asked me to come in.
I entered and walked to his desk.
“Good morning Doc” I greeted.
“Morning Mrs Wilson…please have your seat” He said and i took the seat opposite him.
“I don’t wish to tell you this but i just have to and believe me I’ve tried to make you stay longer but the superiorty is not in my hands” He said.
“What is it Doc?” I asked, starting to sense what’s going on.

“Hmm…Miss Morgan will be back from maternity leave in a week time..I guess you know what that means” He said and i felt my stomach sank.

? Elva’s POV cont’d?

“What is it Doc?” I asked, starting to sense what’s going on.

“Hmm…Miss Morgan will be back from maternity leave in a week time..I guess you know what that means” He said and i felt my stomach sank.

Gosh !!

“You mean I’m gonna leave?” I asked wishing he will say no but the nod of his head told me everything.
I stood up sadly from the chair.
“Mrs Wilson..I’m so sorry. I know you love the kids and they love you but we have to do things the way they are supposed to be” He said and i nodded trying hard to hold my tears.
I’ve gotten acquainted with the kids and i never thought of leaving them…I should have thought about that.
I’m only here by replacement so i will definitely leave.

Well…it’s still in a week time,i have more time to spend with the kids.
I didn’t know the tears had come rolling down my cheeks until i sniffled.
Damn !! Why should i cry over this trival issue. Don’t i want to leave again?
“I’m so sorry Mrs Wilson” Doc said again and i nodded.
“Thanks Doc..till a week then” I said with a fake smile before walking out of the office.
I walked back into the ward and tried to act normal but these smart kids noticed.
“Elva what’s wrong?” Dan asked.
“You don’t look as cheerful as when you left for Doc Steph’s office” Mitch said.
“Are you okay?”
“Did Doc Steph asked you to leave?
“Tell us,we will go beg him” They chorused and i smiled sadly.

Am i gonna leave kids like this?
“No…Doc Steph didn’t ask me to leave..I just got emotional and thanks I’m very okay” I said forcing out a chuckle.
They nodded and sat down on their beds.
I walked back to my seat.
“So kids… where did we stop in our last class?… I remember giving you assignments..Mitch do you work” I said and she smiled understanding what i meant.
Few seconds later,i had their assignments piled up on my desk.

I smiled as i marked their assignments…they are all brilliant,they understand things easily and they don’t disturb me pretty much but; they ask questions a lot.
So sad I’m gonna leave them soon.

The cook walked in with their breakfast.
“Good morning ma’am” We greeted.
“Good morning Elva and the kids… enjoy your breakfast” She said with a smile before walking out.
I like how she smiles this days…her rough cheeks is getting smooth.
I stood up and began dishing out breakfast.
I served them round before sitting down to eat mine.

“So let’s start class” I said after we rested for an hour after breakfast.
“We are gonna read a passage and I’m gonna ask you questions from it. Are you ready cutie pies?” I asked.
“Yes Elva” They chorused and we started.

“Is there a way i can write a letter to my mum..I’ve missed her so much” Dan said with tears pricking his cute eyes.
I suddenly felt touched.
I pulled him closer and engulfed him in a hug,patting his thick black hair.
I buried my nose deep in his hair and and..
??I saw myself sitting on a luxurious bed holding and petting a crying little boy,sniffing his hair in the process who so much looks like Dan?? It came as a flash and i quickly jolted out of it making Dan flinch.

*What was that just now?* I thought mysteriously..I’m confused or was i imagining things but the view came clean and clear.
Am i in any way related to Dan?
Gosh…I need to see Fleur but she might be busy now considering her line of work.
I’m gonna tell her about it when i get home,i won’t go home wity her today cause of the things i want to get for Mig and her.

“Dan your mum will come for you soon okay?” I said in order to reassure him. He nodded and sniffled walking back to his bed.
Even if his mum later comes in the future,i know i won’t be here anymore..i would have been gone by then and that will be so sad.
“Let’s continue cutie pies” I said.
“Yesssss”

?Mig’s POV?

I smiled slightly as i played my piano..this is one of the things that gives me joy.
It’s so hot in here .. I’m gonna move the piano to the garden and i also plan on telling Elva that I’m the mysterious singer.
I hope she won’t be pissed at me for lying to her all this while.
I love Elva so much but I’m afraid of starting anything not when she hasn’t regain her memory.
What If she has a boyfriend or rather fiance outside there?..damn !! I’ve never thought of that.
“God i hope she doesn’t..I hope she doesn’t” I chanted.

I picked my songs book…I’ve composed to fifty songs but i guess it’s all a waste.
I opened to the first song i composed when i teen and started singing.

?The world is not too big.

?When i look at the stars.

?I feel a gentle breeze by a long dream full of scent.

?If the wind is going to blow.

?I will push and appoint it to take me to you.

I chuckled as i heard my stomach rumbled loud.
“It’s time to eat Mig” I said to myself turning off the piano.
I picked up my song book with me.
I only had toast bread with tea for breakfast and now I’m gonna make a more filling meal.
I dropped the song book on the couch before walking into the kitchen thinking of what to prepare for lunch.

“Yes !! ” I exclaimed..it’s been long we had meat loaf” I said and picked up my apron with hair.
I walked to the sink to wash my hand.
I walked back to the fridge and started throwing ingredients on the kitchen cabinet skillfully.
I smiled when i noticed all the ingredients are complete.

I began the real cooking.

???

“Wow !” I exclaimed after the meat loaf is ready.
“I’ve increased so much in cooking.. should i go for chef instead” I teased myself knowing that would never be possible.
I dished out Fleur’s and Elva’s in the food warmer then dished out mine In a floral dish.
I slipped a spoon beside it and got a glass cup and a bottled water.
I placed them all in a tray and hurried to the dinning.
I sat down and started eating…

????

I ate to my satisfaction and rested a little before standing up .
I took my empty dish to the kitchen sink and quickly wash it.
I placed it in the dish drainer,dried my hands and walked out of the kitchen.

I sat comfortably on the couch in the living room going through my songs book.
I should have gone back to the attic to continue but Fleur and Elva will be back very soon.
I was about flipping to the other page when i noticed my body has hardened.
My skin is going tight and pale,i fell off the couch groaning in agony.

My disease is back !!

The pain increased but i struggled towards the telephone on the shelf.
I picked it up, tightening my eyes in pain.
“Haaaaa” I groaned more loudly..
It’s growing worst.
I picked the telephone but it fell off my hand scattering into pieces.
I felt tears sting my eyes ..

“Fl-e-ur, El-v-a” I called in pains wishing they would come in and save me but but..it’s just a wish never to come true.

?Elva’s POV?

I left quite early today cause i have to get Mig and Fleur some things.
I don’t want Fleur suspecting a thing so i told the kids to tell her that I’ve left for home once she comes.
I’m getting Mig a headphone..Fleur told me the loves music a lot,While I’m getting Fleur the beautiful black shoes she normally admire on our way to work and also on our way back from work.

“I’m gonna get the shoes first,the headphone,a beautiful cake for celebration,some groceries in the house and also some things for myself” I thought happily heading to the boutique.
I got there and walked in,i walked straight to the shoe section and picked up Fleur’s wish shoes.
It’s quite beautiful with big shiny bows attached to each side…I picked more shoes for myself.
i saw the price tag and I’m surprised it isn’t very cost..much change will still be remaining from my salary..

“Hmm” I thought looking around searching for what to buy more..then my eyes sighted a beautiful T-shirt with “We will always love one another” inscribed on it
I was ‘wowed’ as i walked towards it.
It’s pink in colour .. ‘why don’t i get this same T-shirt for the three of us’ I thought.
“Hey” I called on to the lady in charge.
She walked over to me.
“How may i help you ma’am?” She asked.

“Hmm…do you have more of this T-shirt?” I asked and i was so glad when she nodded.
“Yes we do but it’s just remaining two in the store,colour blue and pink” She said and i almost jumped happily.
“That will be perfect..please can i have them” I said.
“Ok ma’am, a minute” She said and walked away.
Wow… that’s so cool .. Fleur and i will wear the pink while Mig will put on the blue.
I picked more clothes for myself.
She returned with the two T-shirts and i also un hanged the one in the clothes rack.

I collected it from her and headed to the counter.
The T-shirts and shoes was packed and i was handed my bills.
I paid proudly and left a generous tip.
“Thanks ma’am” The lady said and i beamed before walking out.
Why do i feel like i do shop like this before?
Well…I can’t allow those thoughts get into my head now,i need to to get Mig’s headphone,the cake, groceries and also more nice things for myself.

I walked into a small store where they sell stuffs like headphones and so on.
“Good afternoon ma’am,you are welcome. What do you need?” A teen guy asked.
“Good afternoon also..I need a cute headphone” I said and he directed me towards the headphone section by pointing towards it.
I nodded and walked towards it.
There were lots of headphones but a particular one caught my attention.
It’s blue with black dots all over it,it’s so cute and cool..I picked it up with a satisfied smile.
I walked back to the counter.

“I can see you’ve found the one you like” The guy said and i nodded.
He packed it in up customised nylon and handed it over to me.
“Your bill is $93 ma’am” He said and i gave him $100 leaving a generous tip as well.
“Thanks so much ma’am…and thanks for patronizing” He said
and i nodded walking out.

Now it’s remaining the cake and some groceries for the house.

‘Shopping here i come’ I thought giggling happily on the way.
I had to stop when people turned to look back at me with an ” Are-you-okay?” Look.

“What ?… can’t someone giggle happily again” I scoffed.

I finally finished shopping and headed home.
Gosh…there is too much load..
I carried the butter creamed cake carefully in one hand,then the rest of the load is in my second hand.

I sighed in relief when i finally got home.
I had to drop the loads in one hand to open the door,I opened the door and carried the loads back walking into the living room.
I know Mig and Fleur will be expecting me already.

I got to the living room and screamed, dropping all the things in my hands in shock on seeing Mig sprawled on the floor looking unconscious in his disease form.
I dropped beside him shaking him.
He stretched out his hand slowly.
“Sa-ve m-e” He muttered.
“Omg where the hell is Fleur?” I screamed.
I quickly got up and ran to her room,i dragged out the first aid box and quickly opened it,i pulled out the syringe specially made for Mig and ran back to the living room.

I wasted no time in piercing it all over his body continuously.
I noticed his body had lessen before i stopped.
He’s now okay and has fallen into a deep sleep.
“Thank goodness i arrived on time but where the hell is Fleur” I muttered standing up.
I returned the syringe to Fleur’s first aid box and returned it to the shelf where she normally keeps it.
I walked back to the living room,i saw Mig still asleep.
I bent and kissed him on the lips before looking over to the things i bought.

I quickly stood up,rushing towards the cake that was about smearing.
I caught it and smiled.
The cake is still intact and beautiful with “Thanks for everything” written on it.
I carried it to my room together with the things i bought.
I want it to be a surprise for both Mig and Fleur.

I walked into my room and placed the cake on the bedside stool then the things i bought on the bed.
I quickly had a shower,then changed into a green tank top and a pair of black jeans.
I’m gonna make the surprise to be after dinner so we can party into the night.
I walked back to the living room to check on Mig.
He’s still asleep but i know he will be awake soon cause it’s almost an hour.
I sat on the couch and looked over at Mig sleeping peacefully on the floor.
I smiled at how cute he look..
‘Sleeping cutie’ I muttered and giggled, slapping the arm of the couch.

I suddenly noticed a book right on the arm of the couch,i picked it up and flipped the first page open,i noticed it’s a song book. I proceeded in reading it.

I froze right on the couch…
This is the same song that amazing voice always sing…yes this is it.
“This is it” I screamed painfully when i realised i had been lied to.

Mig is the owner of that voice !!
