TWO DAYS LATER 7:00am the next day, Max is awake and ready for work and for the past 5 days he had not said a word to his wife. Maria has tried all she could but he didn’t alter a word and this hurts her so bad and she feels real sorry for what she said that day but he wouldn’t listen, she lives in the same house with Max, sleeps on the same bed but he had not touched her or kissed her.

They live together but she misses him so bad because he’s so far away even though he’s near. She had cried but nothing happened and she didn’t want to get her friends involved. She came down stairs and met the food she kept on the table untouched and he had left. She wanted to take a break from this hard times so she called her friends and told them to met her at a ladies relax center in Victoria Island. She then prepared and left the house…

Yvonne wakes up by 7:15am, just then Arnold came inside “Hey good morning” she said smiling “How was the night?” he said “No bad dreams” she said “Good” “How about you?” she asked “Long and noisy” “Noisy? How?” “I visted a music house but it was too noisy” he said and she sat up “You went to a club?” she said “Yes and it smelled Beelzebub”

“What does that mean” “it’s a demon” he said “Please don’t spoil my morning” she said and got up from the bed to go to the bathroom when her phone rang “hello” she said “hey Maria how you” “am fine too” “ok am coming”

Yvonne said and hanged up “Where are you going?” he said “We are going to have fun” she said “There’s no more time” he said “Come on sweet heart” she kissed his cheek and went into the bathroom and came out in 10 mins “I noticed that you never took and bath and yet no offensive smell” she said “We don’t, we are made from elements not found on earth” he said “Please, can you not a word without attaching heaven stuffs?”

she said and walked to her wardrobe and he just stared at her He felt like taking her away because he knew something bad was coming and he could feel it but he doesn’t want to scare her She put on a blue jeans, with a white gown above her knee and a nice black sandals, she then picked her phone and car keys then put it in her purse and left “am ready lets go” she said and he stood up and went with her.

He was dress a black suit. They got into her car and he looked around the car “What’s that?” she asked “Your car is lovely but nothing compared to what’s in heaven” “Seriously? Now?” “Sorry” he said and kept mute, she started the car and turned to look at him “Are there cars in heaven?” she asked

“Yes there are” he said “Waw, awesome” she said and drove off “Where are we going?” “To hang out with my friends” she said After 15mins she arrived and immediately spotted them sitting down and walked to them; men and women filled the place “Hello babes”

Yvonne said happily and sat down; it was a table for six “Hello Yvonne” Maria said “O no” Audrey said “What” Maria said “Why did you bring him?” Audrey said “Excuse me?” Yvonne said “He’s a psychic” Audrey said “Don’t call him that” Yvonne said angrily “I don’t like him” Audrey said “And how the Bleep does that concern me” Yvonne said “This guy is something else he’s a freak and he freaks me out”

Audrey said loudly; they were drawing attentions “Don’t say that shut up. Who the hell are you to talk to him like that” Yvonne said angrily “Enough please” Maria said “You are drawing attentions” Rachael said “He hot I like him” Rachael said smiling “Arnold sit please” Yvonne said and he sat “You speak the truth. You do not like me but I can leave if I would cause any discomfort” “No you are not leaving” Maria said “Look we are here to have fun & chat” Rachael said.

Maria ordered for some tea for everyone after that they had rice they chatted for over 4 hours on different issues and topic at 12:00pm they went to the cinema to watch movies; they watched two movie and notice time was far spent. Arnold was never comfortable with the idea of fun but he wanted to make her happy.

By 5:00pm they arrived back at the relax center, they continued chatting at it seemed like they never get tired of talking, Arnold just stared at them as they talked, he particularly looked at their mouths moving and laughing, he was bored so he looked around the place and watched as people moved about but Rachael called his attention back “Hey Arnold, right?” Rachael said and he turned to her and stared her in the eyes

“That’s what Yvonne calls me” he said and Rachael smiled “It’s a good name” Maria said “so she said” he replied “OK, tell us about yourself” Maria said “I’m a Leviathan” “O God, I hate hearing that” Audrey said “Audrey stop it” Rachael said “Is that it?” Maria said “That’s all you need to know”

he replied “Ok, so what brings a cute creature like you into our world” Rachael asked smiling and Maria laughed; they still don’t believe he’s from another world, they think he’s a white guy who has his head messed up with supernatural superstition; and he could read their minds

“You still don’t believe me” he said smiling slightly with one arm hanging at the back of his chair and the other hand holding a table spoon “No I do” Maria said smiling; he adjusted his sitting position and faced Maria “Maria let me tell you something” he said smiling and a song was played in the room( Read all about it by Emily Sande) if you are reading this story you should listen to that song.

“am listening” she said smiling “Your husband is not the reason you are not pregnant” he said and there was silence in their mindst as Maria’s smile disappeared “O no’ Yvonne said “Ssshhhh” he signaled Yvonne to be quiet

“Yvonne did you tell him about my marriage?” Maria asked “No I didn’t” she said “Listen Maria, your infertility was caused by your refusal to listen to the old lady who warned you not to go into that house, the spirit of the house is making life horrible for you all” he said and they stared at him in silence “Secondly, your bad attitude to your husband has put him far away from you, you blame him innocently for nothing.

It might be difficult to bring him back except you humbly go on your knees and ask his forgiveness or nothing can be done” he said and tears ran down Maria’s eyes as she stared at him with surprise, he turned to Rachael

“Rachael the curse extends to you and has killed your self esteem and has made you make wrong choices in your life. You are the most beautiful of all your friends sitting here now but you are blinded to that.

David was a wrong choice and you let your sister torment your life. Tell me, has Rita made life any better since she came into your home?” he said and she shook her negatively as tears came out her eyes “David is laying with your sister right now as we speak, you have to stand up for yourself before they kill you and take away your possessions, all you have worked for” he spoke and they stared at him meticulously, he then turned to Audrey “Audrey” he called her name and she was a little frightened of what he would say

“I know you don’t like me but am not offended because you are not the first but do you like your life? You are 30 and you are in a relationship with a 20years old boy, how does that sound. What effort or good has he made in your life and business and you are destroying his educational grounds. Men are out there who are ready to do whatever it takes to make you happy. You chased your right man away but pray he is still waiting because Audrey, life is too short to play hard to get” he finally turned to Yvonne

“Yvonne, I came to this world for a purpose but after seeing you I now wish to stay longer. You are lovely and funny. You married an homosexual without knowing it and now its bouncing on you but now that I found you I will do everything to make sure you find happiness” he stopped speaking and they were all moody as they lowered their heads,

Rachael and Maria were in tears “I really enjoyed this outing with you all, I told you these not to scare you but so you can have a rethink and make better plans for your lives” he said and stood up “Yvonne, I’ll be in the car” he said and left. There was an awkward silence and after like 10secs “I..

i have to go” Rachael said sniffing her nose as she stood up and left “me too” Maria stood up and left Yvonne and Audrey sat there looking at the food but couldn’t eat. Audrey wasn’t crying but thinking “I’ll be on my way” Audrey said in a low tone and left.

Yvonne was so calm, she stood up quietly and walked out to her car and got in. it was about 8:30pm, she sat down quietly in the car and noticed that Arnold was humming the song which was playing inside, she turned to look at him but it was dark so she turned on the light in the car, she stared at him but he was busy humming the song and lookin outside his window “I love that song” he said and turned to look at Yvonne “Me too” she smiled quietly “I love that movie too” he said “yeah”

“Why did she kiss him like that?” he asked “She was deeply in love with him” she said looking deep into his eyes “Love is a good thing” he said looking away “Yes it is” she replied, she was surprised he didn’t talk about what he said inside there to her friends. She started the car and drove off..

They arrived at their hotel room, she dropped her bag on the chair and entered the bathroom and came out with a towel, she saw him staring at her. He walked closer to her and touched her face and then kissed her although she was surprised but she didn’t resist, she kissed him deeply, he dropped her towel and laid her on the bed and laid with her all night. She had never been so happy in a long time…

Rachael arrived home still crying; she went inside and went straight to her sisters room and opened the door and no one was there. She felt they had gone out so she went up to her room and as she entered she saw the both of them naked on her bed, she was shocked that what Arnold said was true “So it’s true and on my bed”

she said crying, they were surprised to see her “Rachael baby I can explain this to you” David said “Get out now” she said angrily “Baby please listen, its your sister” he said trying to defend himself “David!!” Rita said loudly “Rachy baby please” he said and Rachael gave him a very hot slap “Get out” she yelled angrily, Rita was scared “Am sorry” he said kneeling down Rachael walked to her drawer and brought out a gun and their fears heightened “Please don’t do this” he begged

“Now get out” she said holding the gun “Ok I will, let me get my things” he said “What things? You bastard, I bought every shit you wearing down to your pants” she said crying “Rachael please” he said kneeling down with fear but Rita had ran out “Don’t make me shoot you” she said raising the gun at him

“No wait am going” he said and left the room. She walked out of the room and went down to meet Rita “Park your stuffs and get out of my house cause if I come down and see you, I will dump your body in Lagos lagoon” she said and walked away. She made sure that they went out they gate before going back inside.

She sat down in her sitting room and exhaled loudly and dropped the gun beside her and smiled. She felt a great burden lifted off her shoulder…

Maria got home and saw Max’s car parked in the compound, he was home already. She knew she didn’t prepare anything for him before leaving the house she went into the sitting room and saw no one but she saw plates on the dinning table, she walked over there and saw that Max had just finished eating the food he bought outside, tears ran down her face.

She quickly went upstairs and stood outside the door and exhaled before going into the room. She saw him with his laptop smiling but the smile disappeared immediately he saw her, she walked closer and knelt down beside him and held his thigh and begged him with tears in her eyes “Honey am so sorry, I regret all that I said, I feel so stupid and ashamed please forgive me. It will never happen again, I will never blame you for our marriage problems again.

I love you” she said pleading. He then turned to look at her and then smiled and helped her up, she was surprised it worked “I love you too, I forgive you” he said and wiped her eyes and kissed her then hugged her. Peace was settled in heart that night as she silently thanked Arnold…

Another week is gone and Yvonne is still having fun, she kept going to places and enjoying her work break but one morning something happened and changed everything.
