YOUR FIGHT IS DIFFERENT!

Some people here are going to be the FIRST IN THEIR FAMILY to break a lot of chains.

Some will be the first in their family to create real wealth;
some will be the first to travel internationally;
some will be the first to hold political authority.

This is not a post you should reply ‘Amen’ to. I didn’t intend this to make you happy or hopeful.

This is to remind you that being the first to break generational curses of poverty, obscurity and underachievement will not come without a fight.

Your hunger and wit MUST be different.

You heard a message telling you to sleep less and work more and you’re comparing yourself with someone else who sleeps 12 hours and is still successful.

Listen, that guy’s grandfather has paid the price and broken the curses on his behalf. You people are not running on the same favour.

He doesn’t need to fight as much.
YOU DO!

We’re telling you to keep your social media clean and you’re comparing yourself to someone else who is uncouth online and yet manages to pull through.

Listen. She inherited powerful friends from the elite secondary school she attended. No matter how many times she slips, she has people to help her.

Your own mother sold akara. Your alma mater cannot help you except to tweet.

YOUR FIGHT IS DIFFERENT!

YOUR WISDOM MUST BE DIFFERENT!

You must be 100 times as smart, diligent, prudent and shrewd with the resources you do have at your disposal.

Your choice of television programming must be different.

You cannot afford to read recreational novels, NO! You’re trying to break generations worth of lack, sabotage, deprivation and spiritual wickedness.

Don’t deceive yourself that you’re who you’re not.

By now, if I ask you what a sales funnel is, you should tell me the answer quickly, plus who invented it. Even add the person’s family members.

If I ask you whether you can come and speak at my event, you should not be telling me, “I’m still shy”

Are you drunk?

YOU DON’T DESERVE THE LUXURY OF BEING SHY!

You should tell me confidently, “Thank you sir. I’ve been praying, practicing and preparing for this very moment. I won’t disappoint.”

If someone asks you to deliver a presentation on any topic, your answer should be, “Give me 24 hours. I’ll figure it out.”

YOUR FIGHT IS DIFFERENT!

By now, you should’ve read every damn thing regarding wealth building and wealth transfer!

I CANNOT AFFORD TO BE A ‘DUNNO’ PERSON!

If they ask you about crypto, have an idea.

If they ask you about real estate, say something.

If they ask you about investing and even politics, have an informed perspective of the landscape.

The Biblical Jabez was one of the few people recorded to have requested a change of name. He knew what he was born with – SORROW.

HIS FIGHT WAS DIFFERENT!

Why do you think I make it my duty to know something about almost everything at 32?

I was privileged to attend a Nigerian private university. People assume that everyone who goes there is privileged.

However, my parents could not afford to pay my fees.
Two of my uncles graciously contributed to pay my fees.

Only my father and I knew the sacrifices that were made.

So when my privileged classmates back then made jokes about me ‘behaving like an old man’, it didn’t faze me. I knew the house I left to come there.

I knew but I couldn’t tell them, “Our parents’ fingers are not equal. Our own fingers are not equal YET!”

I spent all my waking moments in the computer laboratory practicing programming and web design. I never partied or enjoyed the regular pleasures of being young.

MY FIGHT WAS DIFFERENT.

Even after school, my life was a predictable triangle – Home, Work, Church.

By the grace of God today, I’ve broken many of the chains I set out to. Now I can take vacations anytime I want, for however long I want!

I’ve grown into a man of inestimable and still growing value.

BUT EVEN NOW, MY FIGHT IS DIFFERENT!

If you know where you are coming from, I need you to wake up from your slumber and knock yourself on the head and say

“MY FIGHT IS DIFFERENT”.
