THE DEVIL’S ADVOCATE – Edith’s story
When I was 6 years,my father warned me severely not to enter the second washroom! He was so mean when he was warning me against entering the washroom……his reason was that,that washroom was made for visitors not us…….
Three padlocks were used by my father to lock this washroom….one at the top,the other at the bottom and the last one was at down…….
Because I was a child,I never bother myself about that, besides,my father was a very good and caring person…..my mom and I never lacked anything before…….
But one thing kept bothering me about my mom….she was mentally challenged! Always laughing and acting strange……but because I was a child, nothing crossed my mind….
While I was growing,my mom’s condition was becoming tough….I cried when ever I set my eyes on her…..my father told me she just woke up one-day and started acting strange and he took her to several hospital but they said her condition has something to do with spirit’s……
I advised we take her to a church for deliverance and he said he took her to so many churches and spent a lot of money but still nothing come out of it……
I believed my father because he is a Christian and when i was growing,I always followed him to church……but because of my mother’s condition,he always locked her in a room when ever he won’t be around!
So when I turned 18,I became curious about this particular washroom my father locked up, though I still believed what he said that it was meant for visitors because at times,I always sees some of his friends like two or three who normally visits him,and whenever they came,my father will always followed them into this washroom……..
Nothing ever crossed my mind,I never suspected my father of anything……
Even there was a time he took my mom to our church for prayer,the so called pastor couldn’t do anything about it……..he only gave my father a certain bottle filled with water to give yo her every night……
Days were passing, weeks were passing and my mom’s condition was still the same…..
One evening around 11:55pm,I woke up to ease myself in the washroom,the one we always used……..
Few minutes later,I was done and while I was coming out,I saw my father also coming out from the very same washroom he warned me not to get close to…………… immediately he saw me,he quickly began to lock it……
