TANGLED WITH A MONSTER EPISODE 5 – Missing Pen

I got frightened because after she bit them they collapsed and died instantly as if they were stunned by a poisonous snake.

I stared at her for a while wondering how a human bite can kill someone. I got closer to one of the boys which Lydia had bitten.

I was amazed to see a mark of two teeth piercing only. I mean she has complete teeth, why would there be only the mark of two on the bitten de@d boys.

“Who are you?” I asked Lydia.

“Richard am sorry, I wanted to tell you “Lydia replied amidst tears.

“Just answer me, who are you?” I shouted with tears well up eyes.

Lydia stared at me for a while and then walked into the river. I was shocked to see a half human and a half snake.

The parts which was dried where human, while the parts that was wet was snake like. I wanted to run but she cried out and begged.

I couldn’t walk away with out any explanation, so I asked her to explain what kind of creature she was.

Lydia explained that she was a human but her great grand parents were cursed by the king of their time in the neighbouring village.

However the curse isn’t permanent but it’s just that no one knows how to break the curse except Jane, one of her relatives.

I was curious to know the Jane, and where she was, but Lydia told me that ever since Jane broke her own curse she never returned.

All these while we were discussing Lydia was half snake and half human, I asked her to turn back but she said she couldn’t until that part gets dried.

While we were talking my grandmother came by and saw Jane as a half snake and a half human being.

I was scared of what she will do but grandma never showed any signs of fear. She identified herself as Jane to Lydia and it turned out that grandma was once like Lydia.

Without hesitation I asked grandma how she broke her curse. Grandma said that the only way the curse can be broken is for me to k!ss Lydia while she is in her snake or monster form.

Lydia looked at me for a while and signaled if I was ready to do it. I watched her transformed into a snake, which was one of the hardest experience.

After she turned I couldn’t kiss her but grandma kept encouraging me until I did the k!ss and immediately she transformed into a human back.

I was happy as we held hands and walked back into the water without being afraid of anyone turning into a snake.

I finally married Lydia and took her to the city to give her the life she ever wanted, a life beyond a little village in the middle of the rain forest.
