I’m Pregnant For Your Husband – Olamide Oluwasegun

My husband has been so worried about my health since Sunday afternoon, resulting in my stay at home for the past three days and unsurprisingly, my laptop was missing.

“Fems, where is my laptop?” I called him to see if he could finally tell me where he hid it.

“what did you say….., m…y.. line…… breaking” and he hung up.

I stared blankly at my phone, this man is joking with me.

Five minutes later, the door  bell rang, I walked to the door and looked through the peephole, a woman was standing impatiently.

    “Good day” I politely greeted

“Good afternoon, I want to speak to the lady in this house” she sized me up with her eyes

“that’s me, please how may I help you?”

    “can I come in?”

I obviously couldn’t open my door to a complete stranger, I was too weak to defend myself if need be.

“since you can’t let me in, I will just tell you what I came here for” she finally said noticing my reluctance.

    “please do”

“I’m pregnant for your husband” she confessed.

I felt like laughing, maybe the drugs I took that morning was having side effects, causing me not to hear properly.

“What did you say?” I asked smiling

“stop acting like you didn’t hear me, I’m not going to talk too much, just give me some money and I won’t disturb your fake happy family” she spoke rudely eyeing me with disdain.

Nothing wey musa no go see for gate, Ola Don see something.

“I’m sure you are in the wrong house” I assured her, ignoring her rude attitude.

“Abeg, I no wan hear. U go give me the money abi Wetin?” she looked seconds away from beating me.

To assure her that she was at the wrong home, I called my husband and put the phone on loud speaker.

“Babe, just leave the laptop, you should be sleeping right now” his voice resounded not giving me space to speak.

“leave the laptop first, a lady is here claiming to be pregnant for you”

Femi laughed “Only because of laptop you are playing pranks, don’t worry when you fully recover, your laptop will be given to you”

“cheater, cheater oooo, your wife has found out ooo, stop denying” the Lady shouted.

“Ola, what’s happening?” he asked worriedly.

“I told her she is at the wrong house o”

“I’m coming home, get Inside, you don’t know if she  has an ulterior motive and this is a ploy” he advised

My phone was no longer on loud speaker, I eyed her suspiciously.

    she immediately got a call.

“I’m in your house o cheater, you are denying Abi?” she shouted at the person.

As quickly as she started shouting, she stopped, she looked at me ashamed.

After she hung up, she looked at me apologetically.

“madam no vex, na wrong number” she begged almost going on her knees

“who are you?” Femi asked immediately he arrived.

she looked like she was about to cry “oga no vex, na wrong house” she walked away with shame.

“are you OK?” He asked me

“uncle, my laptop” I demanded hands akimbo.

“you better go and sleep” we walked in locking the door.

“Did I ever tell you that I love you?” he asked looking emotional.

“I’m not sure….” I replied shinning my teeth.

“I love you” he said trying to wipe drops of tears that escaped from his eyes.

“I love you more, but uncle, my laptop” I demanded

“It’s inside the fridge” he finally told me

“fridge ke, do you want to kill me?” I screamed running to the fridge but I couldn’t find it.

  “Oluwafemi, If I catch you?”
