Let me teach you about YOUR HUSBAND and the SECRETARY SYNDROME.

First, it’s not your fault. Nollywood lied to you.

That secretary in your husband’s office is not walking about with tight pants and blouses that expose her breasts in the office space. Igbati ko ya were?

Her boss-your Husband- falls in love with her unconsciously, as she assists him. Of course, she’s smart! So…

Repeatedly, she helps with his daily tasks and projects, familiarizes herself with his competitors, sphere of influence, businesses he’s trying to launch, dreams, pursuits, etc.

Gradually, he begins to seek her advice on gifts  to buy for you and how to calm the stress he’s “collecting” in his marriage. Then she begins to  accompany him to informal meetings with close friends… Ati bebe lo

Bottom line: Contrary to your opinion, many times these secretaries don’t set out to seduce your husband. Friendship grew! And that was the beginning of an irresistible attraction.

My two cents? You will need more than a lingerie and ” blue eye”. Beyond sex styles and good food, become a harbour for intellectually stimulating conversations. Be available. Listen to your husband. Cheer him on. Be interesting. Play along…

Don’t just be a wife, be a friend. Pay attention to the things that interest and/or bother him- from official to informal. Be intelligent enough to realize that when he says Chelsea, he means the football club, not some dry gin.

And oh! Cut down on the Zee World. This is 2021.

Namaste!
