Cheer Up! You Will Laugh Last!
In those days while on the farm, my father called my attention to one particular specie of birds… It makes two kinds of sound at two different situations.
He instructed me to observe the birds very closely as it flew from one tree to another and then tell him my observations.
After careful study of one of the birds, I explained to my Dad what I had noticed;
The bird made the same sound as it flew from one tree to another when it had not found food BUT a different kind of sound once it had found food.
Impressed by my findings, my Dad proceeded to telling me the meaning of those two sounds;
He said, “When the bird was yet to find food, it was screaming ‘I will leave this forest… I will leave this forest’ BUT when it found food, the song changed to ‘This forest is so sweet… This forest is so sweet’.
The interpretation sounded so funny to me but I couldn’t argue it because the interpretation rhymed with the bird’s attitude.
I have studied that bird over and over again, it’s the same attitude. In fact, there is one that makes same sound at the back of my present residence.
So often many of us have found ourselves in situations of hunger, lack, difficulty and several other challenges of life; and like that bird, we scream, ‘I will leave this forest… I will leave this forest’.
It may appear as though you are alone and nobody cares. You may even be depressed and contemplating suicide because you feel you cannot rise again.
You might have experienced failure so much that you’re beginning to surrender to fate that you can no longer succeed.
I want to encourage you… Hold on! Don’t give up! Try again! Soon, like that bird, your song will change to a sweeter one.
God of the mountain, is also the God of the valley…
God of the hard times, is also the God of the good times…
When things go wrong, He will make them right…
God of the day is still God in the night.
He asked me to tell you today, “My son, my daughter, I will hold your right hand and say unto you, fear not, for I will help you”
So I say unto you, hold on to the Lord, He is the ever present help in trouble. He cares for you! He feels what you feel! He will carry you through!
Cheer up! Cheer Up! You will laugh last!
Place your hand on your chest and say, “As the Lord lives, I will laugh last!”
Please share to encourage someone
