They left with the police and I was ask to come to station the next day with a lawyer.
My father in-law ask me to pack my stuff and be ready that tomorrow am going to live this house but he plead with me live my son with them.
My daughter i know that my son has hurt me deeply but please don’t take you son with you ,I know it will be difficult for you to live you son behind but also remember that the child belongs to him ,he will take proper care of him ,I don’t want to separate mother and child but remember that no matter where you take him to he will still come back and look for his father the only thing I can assure you is that you son will be properly taking care of, but the choice is urs,” my father in-law said
We went to the police station together with a lawyer and I was ask to present the evidence that will prove that they were gueity of the crime.
I gave them the marriage certificate between my husband and my sister in law and also show them scars on my body , my father in-law stand as a eye withness to all the things they did to me.
My husband was ask to sign the divorce papers but he refuse the police said to him then be ready to go to jail, I saw fear in his eyes immediately the police man mentioned jail.
He reluctantly signed the divorce paper and my heart was filled happiness at last am free from this bondage.
Madam are you happy now ,”the police man ask me , yes sir but I want to go with my son cannot live him behind ,I saw sadness in my father in-law’s face but I have made up my mind to go with my son, there was silence for a while before my husband said you can go with you son from today I don’t have anything to do with you again.
Thank my father in-law for all his support and left the place with my son and with little money my father in-law gave me.my father welcome me back and ask me to forgive him that he pushed me out to reduce his responsibility ,I forgive him and move on with my life.
It has been five years since I left the toxic marriage by God’s grace I’m doing well with my son hoping on to God to bless me with a good life partner.
