?Elva’s POV?

I walked in the ward dejectedly..
I’m leaving today.
I won’t see the kids anymore.
The children rushed to me happily.
“Good morning Elva” They greeted but i just responded with a slight nod.
They aren’t aware i will be leaving today.
I walked to my desk and dropped my bag, sitting down.
Why does it hurt so much.

They followed me down to my seat and they all stood in front of me looking worried.

“Elva what wrong?

Are you feeling well?

Have you eaten?

Who pissed you off?

Did we?” They asked and i didn’t know where that tears slipped from.
I sniffled and quickly grabbed my handkerchief, trying hard to hide my tears but they already saw it.
I looked up and was surprised to see them also crying,their faces looking sad.

“I’m okay cutie pies,stop crying okay?” I said trying to block Another tears that was threatening to roll down my cheeks.
“Not when you are still crying” Mitch sniffled.
“Elva what’s wrong?” Dan asked.
“I..i..I’m leaving today” I said and started crying out loud.

“Leaving?

To where?

Please don’t leave” They chorused begging me.
“I also don’t want to leave but Miss Morgan is resuming tomorrow” I said.
“We don’t want Miss Morgan anymore,we want you please don’t leave” Mitch said and the rest nodded with tears welling up in their cute eyes.

“I have to leave..I’m just here temporarily,i will come visit you guys regularly okay?” I said.
“No no we want you please don’t leave..Miss Morgan can be our afternoon teacher, Elva please don’t leave us” Dan said crying profusely.
“I was told Miss Morgan teaches you guys for the whole day,she doesn’t go home but stays with you except weekends” I said.
“We don’t want Miss Morgan anymore, how are we gonna cope without you” Another Kid said also crying.
“It’s okay cutie pies” I said trying hard not to cry. “Let Miss Morgan come back okay and i promise i will keep checking on you” I said.

“No you are not leaving…Dan come with me,we are going to Doc Steph’s office” Mitch said already dragging Dan along but i rushed to stop them before they could get to the door.
“Come-on children, don’t go to Doc Steph’s office cause he’s not in the position to change anything.. thanks for not wanting me to leave but i have to leave..I’m so sorry cutie pies.
I will always check on you” I said and they cried harder going towards their beds.
I cleaned my tears and hurried after them.
“Now will you all give me a hug” I said with a sad smile.
They stood up one after the other, pulling me into a tight hug.

“Elva can you do something for us?” Mitch asked.
“Yes honey”
“Please spend more time with us till it’s noon” She said and the rest nodded.
“Okay sweeties,i will gladly do that. Don’t cry anymore huh?” I said and they nodded.
I cleaned their tears one after the other before walking back to my seat.

“Cutie pies” I called.
“Yes Elva” They replied with dull voice.
“I’m gonna tell you one last story and I’m also gonna sing one last song for you” I said and they bursted out crying again.
I placed my head on the desk and also cried.

?Mig’s POV?

“Lalalalalala” I sang happily twisting my butts in a dancing step.
I’m preparing my breakfast just some minutes Elva and Fleur left.
I’m so happy cause Elva is gonna be staying with me at home now..she’s leaving that damn hospital today and i hope she won’t see that guy.. Ben or whatever !!

After breakfast I’m just gonna move my piano and other instrument to the garden .
I’ve been planning to do that for long and i will carry out the plan today.
I dished out the omelette in a flat dish, dropped the sauce pan back on the gas cooker,grabbed a glass cup and bottled water before wheeling happily to the dinning.

I sat and began eating my breakfast humming happily.

It’s been a week now and all has been going well.
We’ve gotten closer…I mean Elva and i but I’m yet to ask her out. Waiting till she regains her memory but what if she has a damn fiance or boyfriend?
Gosh … That’s so gonna hurt but i hope she doesn’t have any cause if she does,then there will be war cause I won’t and will never lose her.

I dipped my spoon into my plate, bring it up to my lips only for it to come up empty.
I looked down at my meal and noticed there’s nothing remaining in the dish again.
“Damn Mig.. how could you not know you’ve finished your breakfast” I scolded myself.
I gulped down my water and stood up with the empty dish in hand to the kitchen.
I hurriedly washed it,rinsed it and placed it in the dish drainer.
I walked out of the kitchen going into the attic.
I’m gonna move the piano to the garden now.

I heaved a sigh of relief when i finally placed the piano under a cool shade in the garden.
Damn..it’s quite heavy..
I walked back to the attic and carried the piano stool and other necessary things back to the garden.

I was sweating by the time I’m done setting the piano in the garden..I’ve arranged everything neatly under a cool shade in the beautiful garden.
I’m gonna start teaching Elva how to play a piano since she gat a thing for music.

Wow…I’m sure my song is gonna flow smoothly in this cool environment and it’s also a good place to compose songs.
I quickly picked up my song book with a pen and started scribbling down a song that just came to me now.

?Elva’s POV?

“Wow !!

The story is interesting

I love it

Please tell us more” They chorused after I’ve finished telling my last story.
We’ve had breakfast and time is ticking fast,it will be time for lunch soon and I’m leaving these kids after lunch.
We are all sad but we tried to keep a happy face.
That’s one of the reasons i love this kids…they act matured.

“Now we are prepared for your last song” Mitch said and i noticed the weariness in her tiny voice.
“Yeah it will be time for lunch soon and we know you are leaving after lunch” Dan said sadly and i forced out a smile.
“I want to sing the song when I’m leaving,so that will be after lunch” I said and all nodded.
We all fell silent gazing at ourselves.
Their eyes are begging me not to leave,i can’t help it anymore but placed my eyes on the desk.
I closed my eyes and fell into an unexpected sleep.

“Elva our lunch has arrived” I heard and felt a tap on my hair before opening my eyes.
I raised my head off the desk and saw Dan standing in front of me pointing to their lunch basket.
I muttered an ‘oh’ .
He helped me tucked my hair smartly behind my ears and i smiled.
“Thanks Dan” I said but he shrugged.
“I normally do that to Aunt Vinnie,my mum’s elder sister. I couldn’t remember her face anymore but you keep reminding me of her anytime i see you” He said fluently and my eyes widened.
“Really?” I asked.
“Yes Elva.. please serve us lunch. We are starving” He said before running to his bed.
Why does that name ‘Vinnie’ rings a bell.

I shrugged it off and stood up to dish out their lunch.
I finished doing that and served them round.
I sat down to eat mine but i couldn’t eat half of it cause i know i will leaving the kids soon.
I noticed they were also picking on their meal.
“Eat up cutie pies..it’s delicious” I said faking a smile.
They nodded and started eating while i look admiringly at them.

We finished lunch and Fleur came in few Minutes after lunch,she sensed the tension in our Ward and shook her head sadly.
“I know you will want to bid them farewell,so I’m waiting for you at the reception” She said before walking out.
I stood and walked towards their beds,i noticed their eyes already going watery with tears.
“Now you all should come to me” I said and they rushed to me in tears.
I stood in their middle looking at their cute faces.
I’m so gonna miss them.

” I specially composed this song for today and i hope you will like it..it’s short and just like a poem” I said.
I Cleared my throat and began;

?From the very first day i entered this ward.

?Your innocent eyes gripped my heart.

?Your brilliancy amazes me.

? I cherish the times we have been fond of each other.

?I thought i won’t be leaving anymore.

?But it’s just so sad i have to leave.

I finished singing and realised how loud we were all crying.
They hugged me tightly in their middle,their tears soaking my cloth.
We remained like that for a lot of minutes when i realised Fleur will be waiting for me.

I stood straight and walked to the desk.
I carried my handbag and headed back to them.
I hugged them again one after the other.
“Bye..I’m gonna miss you” I said to them already walking to the door.
I don’t want to break down again.
“We will miss you too Elva and we love you” They chorused and i turned back with a smile.
“I love you too cutie pies … Bye” I said with a sad smile,i quickly walked out of the door and closed the door behind me before breaking down.
I heard their loud cries through the door and weep harder.
I cleaned my tears and heaved a sigh before walking towards the reception with my head down.

I got to the reception and raised up my head only for a wow to escape my lips and my eyes widening in surprise.
I saw all the staff in the hospital all standing with a small farewell board in their hands “Goodbye Elva..we are gonna miss you” Inscribed on it.
I stood in surprise looking at their faces one after the other; Doc Steph,Ben, Claire,then Fleur who winked at me with a grin..So drama queen knew about all this without telling me a thing,the cook and so many staff.
My gaze landed on the table placed in front of them.
There is a cake and numerous wines on it.

“OMG” I whispered deeply touched.
They all marched towards me with affection and a tear escaped from my eyes.

“Elva we will miss you.

You have been great to work with.

Keep on visiting.

You are fun to be with.

Gosh !! We won’t get to hear you sing again.

We wish you all the best.

Take care.

Bye.

We all love you” They all chorused and i smiled, deeply touched by their comments.

“Thanks so much guys..I’m deeply touched” I said hugging them one after the other.
One of them tucked the little farewell board in my hair and i smiled leaving it there.

“Now let’s eat the cake and have some wine” We heard and turned to see the person talking..
I already know it’s Drama queen,she loves anything eatable.. hahaha.
She grinned widely at them already rushing to the cake,we all rushed after her laughing hard.

I ate a slice of the cake but didn’t dare go near the wine.
Fleur is walking happily around eating her cake and gulping down her wine the same time.
They told me to sing for them and i did.
We all danced happily to my song with no beat,some patients also joined and it was fun.
Some people’s dance was so funny that i had to choke on my cake.
We all laughed happily and to be sincere I’m gonna miss this place.

Fleur and i left the hospital after the merriment ended, everyone has gone back to their work.
We were walking home chatting happily.
We left the hospital quite late today cause of the little party they planned for me and all.
I had hugged them once again and bid them bye in smiles even if i was trying to hold my tears.

“Elva” I heard someone called and turned to see Ben walking towards us.
Fleur and i glanced at ourselves before facing him.
He got to us sighing heavily,his face covered in sweat from running.

“Elva I’m gonna miss you” He said.
“Yeah” I replied.
“Okay i called you back to apologise, I’ve wronged you in a lot of ways,I’ve caused you pains. I just hope you will forgive me,it wasn’t intentional,and I’ve turn good” He said and i looked on in surprise.
“Fleur I’m also sorry for everything,i know I’ve pissed you up bad time. I just hope you both forgive me” He said and Fleur turned to me already smiling.
“I’ve forgiven you” Fleur said and her face widened almost tearing apart when he pulled her into a hug.
I noticed her cheeks turning red.
Damn…is Fleur blushing?

“I’ve not forgiven you” I said with pouted lips and they both turned to look at me.
“Why?” He asked.
“Anyways..I was only joking,I’ve forgiven you but you gotta do something for me” I said.
“What?” He asked.
“You will also apologise to Mig” I said and Fleur nodded.
“Of course i was planning to do that but that won’t be today,I’m busy right now”
“Okay”
“Thanks for forgiving me guys” He said engulfing us in a hug before he turned and ran off.

I felt like crying..i’m gonna miss them all…
Well…there is something to comfort me and it’s ;

Spending more time with Mig?

I can’t wait to be finally home alone with him again.

?Elva’s POV?

“Bye Mig,bye Elva” Fleur said before walking out.
“Bye” We said behind her.
It’s been few days after i left work and I must say i missed the kids badly but Mig filled up that space for me..
He never made me bored and he has turned to a comedian just because of me.
I can’t stay a day with him without laughing my lungs out and guess what;

He has started taking me classes on the piano,he teaches me so well that i grab everything fast.
The first day he taught me,i played the piano like I’ve been playing it before.
He was also surprised to see me play smoothly just in minutes of teaching.
Mig and i now play the piano and sing in the garden.
We’ve composed a lot of songs together and i can proudly say Mig is the most intelligent person i know.
I normally disturb him to sing for me cause Mig’s voice is amazing,just like an angel’s.
I’m so glad to have him beside me and i love him more than anything and anyone.

“Hey babe what ya thinking?” He asked playfully and i smiled.
Yeah..he calls me babe now… Awwn I’m blushing.
“Why do ya wanna know what I’m thinking” I asked.
“Cause your face is fused together like that of the horses in the stable” He said already standing up.
“Damn Mig !!” I said with a playful glare menacing towards him.
I chased him round the living and I’ve almost caught him when he slipped away into his room locking the door.

“You better remain there till tomorrow and you won’t have breakfast, lunch and dinner” I said standing in front of his door.
“Go have your bath,I’m gonna prepare breakfast” He shouted from his room.
“I want sandwich and tea” I said before walking to my room.
I entered and closed the door behind me .
Gosh i need to have my morning bath now.

I finished having my morning bath and stepped out of the bathroom in pink towel.
I walked to my cupboard and opened it gently, I scanned briefly for what to wear before i finally settled for a black tank top with a pair of blue shorts.
I opened my drawer and selected my undies.
I walked back to my bed and dropped the clothes on it.
I dried my body and picked up my body lotion,I applied it smoothly on my rare skin.

I wore my undies,then wore my tank top before slipping on the trouser.
I picked up the hair brush and brushed through my soft hair. I applied some hair lotion and packed it in a ponytail.
I slipped my small feet into my flip flops and hopped out of the room.
I got to the living room and the aroma of sandwich drifted through my nose.
“Wow” I muttered walking faster to the kitchen.

I got to the door and saw Mig backing me.
I smiled mischievously as a plan came into my mind.
I sneaked into the kitchen behind him. I was about pinching his neck hard like he does to me.
“So sorry you made your presence obvious” Mig said and i flinched.
He turned to face me with a smile.
“How did you know i was behind you?” I asked, disappointed i couldn’t carry out my plan smoothly like he does.
“What do you expect from a masculine handsome guy” He said taking his lower lip into his mouth, making him look damn sexy.

Damn…he’s making my heart itch again.

“If I’m not able to know someone is sneaking up on me then I’m not fit to protect you guys” He said and i nodded.
“Come-on, don’t tell me you are disappointed that your plan wasn’t successful..try harder next time babe” He said with a wink before turning back to the sandwich he was making.
I tightened my fist wanting it to land on his shoulder.

“Keep on trying babe..you can’t get me” He said with his tongue out.
I punched him playfully on his shoulder and he made a ‘fake painful face’
I smirked and walked to the dish drainer.
I dragged out a dish with a spoon then stretched it out to Mig.
“My sandwich please” I said.
“Your portion isn’t here” He said seriously.
“Meaning ?”
“Meaning i only prepared mine” He said and i gave him a ‘ hey-look-here-you-are-joker-right?’ Look.
“Mig really?” I asked again.
“Of course” He said so serious i had nearly dropped back my plate before her bursted out laughing.

“Come-on Elva,i was only joking. You and Fleur are just the same in the aspect of food” He said with a chuckle and i hit the dish hard on his head.
“Damn..I was scared i am not gonna have breakfast today” I said.
“Hahaha” He laughed and i glared hardly at him before he stopped.
He dished out the sandwich in two different dishes while i took two bottle of water and glass cups from the fridge.
I placed them in a tray together with our plates of sandwich then carried it to the dinning.
I arranged it on the table and returned the tray back to the kitchen.
Mig is also done cleaning up,he followed me back to the dinning room,we sat down and began eating immediately.

Yummy !!

I was washing the dishes in the kitchen after we were done eating.

“Babe i will be in the garden” Mig shouted from the living room.
“Okay..I will join you soon” I said grinning hard to myself.
I hurried with the remaining dishes,placed it in the dish drainer,dried my hand and rushed off to meet Mig in the garden.
I got there and met him singing.
I stood back as i listened to the most amazing voice.
He looks more cute while singing. It’s obvious he has passion for it but it’s just so sad he can’t do it .

Breeze blew through his hair making it ruffle.
I was lost staring at him and jolted back when i heard ‘babe’
He’s signalling for me to come closer to him.
I walked towards him slowly, blushing while he’s grinning.
I sat beside him on another stool,he placed my head on his shoulder stroking my hair like he always love to do.
I also like it when he does that..I feel totally comfortable with nothing to worry about.

“So should we compose song or we should just sing?” He asked.
“Let’s just sing” I said and he replied with an ‘okay’ turning on his piano.
“Let’s sing the one we composed yesterday” He said and i nodded.
We cleared our throats..
“Ready?” He asked.
“Of course” I said happily.
We started singing;

? Wounds fade by memories.

?Our worlds begin to cross path.

? Quietly waiting for me to pass by.

We continued singing and i heard birds chirping, beautiful butterflies surrounding us.
It’s always like that…once we start singing,those beautiful little creatures will surround us like we own the best voice in the universe and yes we do.

We sang through the whole morning and now noon is already peeping.
“Damn I’m tired” I said to Mig.
We are both laying on the soft grass after singing.
“Sorry..but good for you” He said and i glared before dragging his hair.
“Ouch” He yelped before i released his hair from my grip.
I stuck out my tongue at him.

“Gosh babe you are so cruel” He said.
“Yes i am” I said with a wicked smile.
“I should drag your hair too” He said rolling over to my side,i rolled away before he got there and he rolled after me.
We kept rolling and rolling on the grass till we both get tired.
My breathes quickened.

“Mig you’ve made me lose my energy and now I’m starving” I said.
“Sorry babe…i should go prepare lunch,Fleur will be back soon and you know what she is;

“Food monger” We both said and laughed.
“Okay I’m gonna take a nap here while you cook” I said faking a yawn.
“Damn are we not gonna cook together” He said.
“Mig i just lost my energy,i need a nap to recover it back but i can follow you if only you want me to collapse” I said with puppy pretending to start getting up.
“No no..it’s okay,have a good nap while i go prepare lunch okay?” He said and i nodded already closing my eyes.
To be sincere I’m starting to feel sleepy.
He pecked my forehead before strolling into the house.
I yawned real this time and fall into a short sleep.

?Fleur’s POV?

I walked home feeling lonely..
I missed Elva,we would have been chatting and laughing on the way but I’m alone now and it sucks ?
I diverted my thoughts to my prince charming and began smiling on the road like an idiot with people turning back to look at me.

“Damn… prince charming see what you’ve done to me” I muttered slowly.
He always appear in my dream looking so handsome, kissing my hands and forehead.

Will i ever meet him?

It might sound funny but he’s the one I’m waiting for.
Something kept telling me I’m gonna meet him soon and i trust my initiative..it’s always right.
I got home and stepped onto the front porch before pushing the door open.

“Hey guys I’m home” I called loudly from the living room.
“Over here” I heard Mig’s voice from the kitchen and smiled.
He’s probably preparing lunch…what a sweet brother.
I walked to the kitchen smiled wider when i saw he is preparing lunch.
“Hey bro”
“Hey Fleur,welcome”
“Thanks, where is Elva?” I asked.
“She’s taking a nap in the garden” He replied.
“Ohh…let me go freshen up and join her” I said and walked to my room.

I had a quick bath and changed into a blue short gown.
I wore my slippers and walked out of the room.

“Bro please bring our lunch in the garden” I said when i passed through the kitchen heading to the garden.
“Okay”

?Elva’s POV?

I sat on the grass widely awake..
I was about to go join Mig in the kitchen when Fleur walked into the garden.
I smiled “Hey Fleur. Welcome”
“What’s up Elva?” She asked sitting beside me.
“I’m fine” I replied.
“So how was work today?” I asked and she suddenly grinned.
“There is a lot of gist” She said and i squealed happily.
I love hearing gists…Well who doesn’t.
She gisted me and i kept laughing at the funny parts till Mig returned with our lunch.

We finished eating our lunch and quickly went to wash the stained dishes before returning back to the garden.
Mig has gone into his room for a sleep.

“The kids keep asking of you” Fleur said when we settled down on the grass.
“Well..I plan to go visit them tomorrow” I said.
“Really?”
“Yes yes” I replied cheerfully.
“They would be so glad to see you including other staff” She said.
“Awwn” I blushed and Fleur smacked me hard on the arm.
“Quit blushing” She said.
“You are the queen of blush” I said.

Our laughter seized when the ground suddenly started shaking.
The trees shaking vigorously and different scary sounds coming from different angles.
Everywhere suddenly went dark.
We screamed loud in complete fear holding tight to each other.
The ground shook more vigorously and we raised up our heads to see a large wolf,the one i thought i saw the other day approaching us looking more scary with it’s big blue eyes.
We screamed in fear and i saw Fleur already collapse beside me.
I shook in fear also starting to collapse.

FOR I AM A WARRIOR” That was the last thing i heard before collapsing beside Fleur.
