SAVE MY MOTHER Episode 9 – Samlex LOP
SAVE MY MOTHER 9 (True life story)
As a song once said, “is there a place for the hopeless sinners,” by Bob Marley “I pray there is a place for us.”
There are certain steps you take, you can’t retraced them, you just have to see it to the end.
I got back to the guys and drew out the building structure and the security for them, “the security is tight, the cameras are everywhere it’s almost impossible to rob the bank,” I said feeling frustrated.
“I have a plan,” Michael said, and we all turned to him anticipating the idea.
“What is the plan?” We all asked still looking at him.
“What not we rob the bank at night, that way the security is less and no customers,” Michael said.
“Then how do we get access to the vault,” John asked looking confused.
“I didn’t think of that,” Michael said scratching his head.
“Listen guys,” Peter said as we all turn to his direction, “we can rub the bank in the night, we just need to know who has the password to the vault.”
“Good idea,” I said.
“But it was my idea,” Michael said.
“Yes it is yours and you are very smart,” Peter said making Michael smile with pride.
“So that means we will be going back to the bank?” I asked.
“Yes but this time, we are all going,” said John.
Next day by noon we were all at the bank but each of us had a different mission and we came at different time.
Michael sat on a chair inside the bank observing every movement while I headed to deposit money into the account I created, when it was my turn to deposit I smiled at her.
“Good day, how can I help you?” she asked with a smile on her face.
“I will like to make a deposit,” I replied with a smile.
At that moment Peter who was on another queue shouted at the cashier attending to him, “what do you mean by I can’t get a bank statement of my account.”
“Calm down sir, you don’t have an account with this bank sir,” the cashier said to him.
“What do you mean by that, I have a bank account, it doesn’t matter in which bank, what matters is that I need my bank statement,” he shouted, “infact who is the manager.”
All eyes where on him, they all looked in total confusion, a man who happens to be the bank manager walked up to them and quickly escorted Peter out to his office.
I turned to the cashier before me, “some people are just something else, you guys really put up with alot,” I said to her.
“It’s not easy but we try to do the best we can,” she replied, “so how much do you want to deposit?” she asked me.
“Actually I opened the account yesterday and was hoping I could deposit some money today,” I said.
“Oh sorry you can’t make any deposits, the account take at least two working days before it can be open, so you need to come back when you get the account number,” she said.
“That is bad, but thanks for your help, I will be back some other time, see you around,” I said heading towards the exit.
I got to the gate to meet John sitting with some of the security, he has quickly made friends with them, I passed like I have never met him before and headed to the car which was parked some distance away.
After about ten minutes of sitting in the car, Peter joined me then followed by Michael, John came last, and when he enter the car we drove off.
“I will be having a drink this night with some of the security when they close their shift, hopefully they spill something useful,” John said.
“And I will have to monitor the cashier to know where she stays are start a conversation with her,” I said.
Later that evening, I and John came out but we went our separate ways.
I waited for the lady who later came out, I parked in front of her and wind down the glass.
“Hop in let me drop you,” I said to her.
“No thanks, I will get a taxi,” she said.
“Let me be your taxi then, please, I insist,” I said.
She stood for a while thinking about it then she opened and came in and I drove off.
“I’m Ben and you?” I asked, hiding my name for security reasons.
“I’m Olivia,” she said.
“How about we stop somewhere for some drinks,” I said.
“That won’t be bad,” she replied and I looked at her with a smile on my face.
I drove to a bar and we sat talking and drinking, and it didn’t take long before she was drunk, when it was late and she was very drunk I had to carry her to the car driving off into the street.
“So how do you find working in the bank?” I asked.
She began complaining about a lot of things she had to endure working with her boss but what caught my attention was when she said, her manager has been making advances at her because he has been given full authority of the bank and the only person who has the password to the vault.
I just smiled to myself, after dropping her off, I drove straight to the guys to give them the good new, we spent the remaining days locating and monitoring the bank manager and making out a clear plan.
We all sat in the room waiting for night to come to carry out the operation, every one sat quietly, with his own thoughts.
