***SPECIAL’S POV**
After the food ,I thanked mom Sarah and went back to my room immediately.
She didn’t bother to come in and maybe try to get us to talk about some stuff,I guess she was just happy and satisfied that I ate her food,I hope it made her happy though.
An hour later,I got bored,it’s past 8pm and Daddy’s not home yet.
I tried Angela’s number but she kept putting it in busy mode.
Few seconds later,I heard the car horn,I looked through my window, downstairs.
Daddy’s car light was flashing,they’re back,thank goodness.
I missed him so much,I ran out of my room and rushed down the stairs.
We met in the corridor, and I hugged him tightly.
“Welcome back,what took you so long”
I hit his broad chest playfully ,arched my brows.
He carried me and pecked continuously, I chuckled loudly.
Grandpa followed behind grinding at us,I turned to him.
“Welcome grandpa “I said while resting on daddy’s shoulder
He nodded with a smile.
We got to my apartment,the 5th floor ,I wonder why they didn’t take the elevator
Mommy came and greeted them.
My dad seem to be fair to her,he smiled back and responded kindly to her questions.
“I made dinner ,I don’t know if you would like……”
“Well, I am very hungry! Please I do love to eat it”Daddy responded.
She was very happy that she chuckled softly.
“Alright then”She replied.
Daddy and GrandPa went to the dining,I followed even though I was filled, Dad fed me more ,I went to bed with a bloat tummy, thanks to Dad
***KELVIN’S POV**
After the food I thanked Sarah and retired to my bedroom.
I freshen up and went to Special’s room to put her to bed as always, but I found Sarah petting her on her back while she snored,she leaned and pecked Special’s cheek.
She’s thirteen but still her baby anyway.
I closed the door slowly,she noticed,just like I guessed ,she came out of the room and met me in front of the Door.
“Sorry if I took over your duty”She teased.
We both laughed
“It’s fine, she is your daughter too”I replied .I couldn’t even look her in the eyes ,she smiled back.
“I appreciate it,”she responded.
I turned to go back to my room.
“Kelvin thanks”.
“For what”.
“Not abandoning him like I did at 7 months”.
“You know it’s not possible”I smiled back then walked back to my room.
I shut the door,and fell on my bed, taking a deep breath in and out.
I couldn’t sleep, I have a lot running in my mind
First Sarah then Angela, the thought of her made me smile.
“Please love me again,Angela”.
Tomorrow is that day.
***AUTHORESS,’S POV**
Angela was in her school ,when a teacher came in to inform her that her ex boyfriend/fiance was kneeling in front of school at that moment.
She didn’t believe it until she went out of the room and found him grinning,also her mom was standing beside him.
“Kayode..?,”She snapped in disbelief then she turned to her mom.
“Mommy.. when did you…”
“Enough of the questions my dear,hear him out first”
Her mother interrupted.
She broke down but was able to fight back her tears.
“Why should I,i thought he had a girl he engaged a year ago after our break up ,what happened eh…kayode tell me,why are you here?After all these years, is she also a single mother to an amnesia kid”
She snapped with arched brows.
“Please…Angela..”
Kayode wanted to plead but Angela was already fired up.
“I don’t want to hear your pleas!”
“Baby…please listen …”
“Kayode please leave ,I don’t want a second relationship with you”she interrupted him again.
“Angela!”Her mom snapped ,annoyed by her statement .
“Mama ..don’t even vex me ,why are you acting this way,you came here because ,he bought you those new wrappers you are wore ,right ?Why do you want to embarrass me and yourself in front of the the school”.
She turned to Kayode and sobbed.
“What do you take me for,you can just come back and propose and I will accept you again with tears of joy , Oh am so happy ,you finally liberated me from single-hood”.
She snapped at him.
Kayode got fed up by her unrepentant attitude
“Oh really ,shebi, because I decided to be a good guy ,I came back to beg you. I am even kneeling on one leg down”.
He turned to her mother.
“Mama warn her oo,why is she being stubborn and embarrassing me here”.
“You’re embarrassing yourself”.
“Okay let me ask …. since we broke up, why haven’t you gotten a replacement for me? You will get to menopause soon,forget you are 24 ,very soon you will come and beg me”Kayode stated with pride and shoulder squared.
Angela ‘s colleagues kept forcing the kids inside their classes with cane ,but the stubborn ones wanted the whole scene.
“Just listen to yourself, those children must be wondering ,who is this healthy looking imbecile uncle in our school,because you speak like one”Angela said drying her face ,suddenly sounding bolder
Kayode opened his mouth in surprise after that insult.
“Angela E mi?,imbecile! Ah!! That’s it”.
“Angela ,stop being stubborn and accept him back, look at the jeep he is proposing with,okay think about your old memories,I agree he left you heartbroken, that’s men’s nature, you are a woman, have a forgiving heart eh”her mom persuaded.
“I am out of here ,mama why not marry him, you are a widow after all”She turned to go.
“Angela, no wahala,you embarrassed me in public right ? No problem!! Mama Angela better transport yourself back to the village, I am out of here”he got into his car.
“Kayode what did you say?”
Angela’s mom snapped in shock.
But then something happened, a classic Ferrari car drove into the compound .The teachers were alerted , the students went surprisingly mute,without instruction as they all mistook it for a government agent or supervisor.
Kayode was pressing his car horn repeatedly since the car blocked his.
Another drove in, this one was a red Lamborghini with open roof, a giant teddy sitting at the back and ribbons decorated,followed by another Ferrari, with the same teddy but blue colored same with the teddy ,then a Toyota lastly.
It created a huge scene ,even Angela had to come out to check what was happening.
Kayode stopped his horn and watched in amazement. He wanted to know what’s actually happening,those cars are not an average rich Nigerian man’s best collection.
After the cars stopped , the headmistress went to inquire from them who they were and what to do for them,then the first car door opened and Special got out of it.
Angela breath seized, she thought she was dreaming, she had to pinch herself.
“Sweet Angela!!”Special ran towards the puzzled Angela and jumped on her.
Some pupils recognized her ,they even recognized her faster than the teachers.
“Wait, that girl looks like..”
Kayode had a flashback of Special as amnesia patient .
“Now way!”his eyes opened widely.
Angela broke into joyful tears and went on her knees hugging Special.
We all know, Special does love her but Angela’s heart was completely smitten by Special.
“I missed you baby, I am so sorry”.
Special smiled
“I know you do, you are my sweet Angela afterall”.
She pecked Angela’s forehead and they both hugged again, chuckling loudly and hugged this time.
Angela glanced at the men in suits that surrounded the cars in a curious way then turned to Special.
“Who are those,are you okay? Did they hurt you, do you know them and how come …what about your father, is he doing good?”she asked then, embarrassed she stroked her hair.
She regretted it ,with the thought that Special must think that she’s still crazy about Kelvin after everything,but sadly she never got over her obsession with Kelvin
.
Special took her hand and smiled.
“Come with me”.
They stepped out ,going towards the cars
Kelvin came out of the car.
He went on one knee and pulled out a ring box.
Shocked Angela teared up,she should be angry but her heart completely melted for Kelvin and a ring box?
“I am sorry for everything I said to you,I was so cruel and stupid,I have no words to describe how sorry I am,sweet Angela.
Special face went “what the” when he used Special Angela’s nickname.
“..Even when I fell in love with you ,I still treated you badly,I made you pay for what you knew nothing about,I never appreciated you..”he stopped realizing his voice cracked cus he was emotional.
The sincerity in his tone,made her break down, she covered her mouth with her hand.
Kelvin looked up to meet her face.
“I love you Angela,forgive this stupid man for not admitting it earlier, will you marry me,or should I wait ,I can’t take no please”.
Kayode went mad.
He got down from the car and came to them, he pulled Angela towards him.
“Mr man,can’t you see ,she is my…”
Angela slapped his hands off her, so hard,he went red.
He wanted to react but the serious looking men with Kelvin surrounded him,he had to calm down.
“So this is it, so you are now after riches Angela,ritualists and Yahoo are now your spec”.
Angela ignored his ranting and kept smiling at Kelvin.
“Mama Ange….”
She immediately cuts him off.
“Eh eh eh!,don’t even call me ,shebi I should transport myself back to villa,you are indeed shameless and wicked, it is even more pitiful that you are ugly,I have been wondering why handsome men don’t see my daughter,carry your undertaker’s coffin car out of here!!”Angela’s mom snapped back.
Kayode was shocked out of the universe ,his mouth open wide, he swallowed and found his voice again.
“Time shall tell,you will come crying,you all will come crying”
He shouted after recovering from the shock that lasted minutes ,he went into his car and revised.
“Shebi na ritualist you want to marry go ahead,ashawo!!”he shouted out from the car window.
Angela closed her eyes in shame, regretting ever dating such an immature baby.
Kelvin wanted to react but Angela held him back. He hated it when Kayode insulted Angela, in front of him.
Angela’s mom continued cursing at him.
“See him!!,fowl yansh,sho.. sho.. sho”
“Mommy, stop it already !”Angela snapped angrily .
“Leave me ,that boy is mad, see his carton car, he been dey square shoulder for me, Werey!”her mother replied.
The teachers laughed out loud.
As soon as Kayode drove out of the school compound , Angela turned to Kelvin who was still kneeling down.
“I…love you Kelvin and i..”
“Stop Angela,don’t say yes…just yet”Special snapped.
“Huh”Angela and her dad chorused,the teachers watched in confusion.
“Just say,I will think about it,Dad needs to convince you,spoil and baby you before you say yes,you are not that easy, right?”She winked at Angela.
“Hmm I love the idea”Angela winked back.
“Seriously special”.
Kelvin slapped his forehead frustrated.
“But what about the cars,she will get if she say yes?”Angela’s mom asked worriedly,she literally portrayed a gold digger trait.
“Mama please stop embarrassing me”Angela murmured.
“Well I personally told dad, her two fav colors,she get blue if she says yes and also red if she says no ,as appreciation for taking care of me,so either way, she’s getting a gift”Special explained.
Angela’s mom nodded .
“Na real man he be,okay Angela, better be careful,this is not Kayode”.
Angela put on a straight face and chin up elegantly at Kelvin.
“Well ..(she cleared her throat)I will think about it”.
She pulled him up and they hugged.
Well in movies, people will clap and cheer for them but instead the teachers gossiped, Special was the one clapping.
“Am I dreaming “Angela whispered during the long hug,her eyes wet.
Kelvin smiled.”At least my feelings are real,so it can’t be”.
He pulled her chin a little up, and kissed her.
Leaving the teachers speechless and Angela’s eyes bulging from the shock,Special was busy snapping them with her square finger picture shot.
SPECIAL’S POV
So after the surprise visit to sweet Angela’s school,she followed us home to merge with grandpa.
Daddy was really excited but I was the most excited one.
As soon as Daddy ntroduced my grandpa,she went crazy and screamed out
“Good day sir!!!”She greeted beaming uncontrollably.
She must be a very good fan of him.
Grandpa looked proud
“Daddy please meet my soul….
Mummy Sarah came into the sitting room,everyone of us went mite,but thr funniest was daddy,even though mom Sarah seem happy for his new found love,daddy felt it was certainly insensitive to get all romantic with Angela.
“Angela right?”mom Sarah said gazing at her.
Sweet Angela could tell by the resemblance,she don’t know that Sarah was living here with us
“Hy…yes..good day ..ma’am…Sarah…..
“Am Sarah,Special’s mom”
She extended a handshake, Angela shamefully accepted.
“We are no more together, so don’t feel bad,I also want to thank you for everything you did for me,I appreciate so much,you are a great woman,my daughter’s life was saved by you,I don’t how to show my appreciation”
She said and hugged Angela in tears.Angela was even more confused.
“It’s nothing really,she’s like a little sister to me,and a family so I took care of her ,like my own,she was also a blessing to me too,so you know one good turn deserves another “
Angela replied
Above all I was glad ,Mom Sarah and Angela get to meet each other peacefully
My happiness melted faster when Angela insisted on going back home,promising she still visit since they’re not married yet
******The next day
Daddy took me on a long ride back to our old neighborhood.
We got to a certain restaurant ,this place looks familiar to me
The waiter offered us a seat.
“Hooe you like the chair obele(little one)?”the lady said
I nodded.
“Alright”
“What can I get for you sir?”she asked my daddy with her note pad,ready to take down the order
“Your best dish,and a chilled juice,for my daughter ,also can you please call Feyi for me”
Dad instructed,he turned to me and smiled.
“Are you still trying to remember this place?”.
I nodded cracking my brain to solve the mystery
The food were brought to us then I saw her
“Aunty Feyi..”
She stood still looking at mr in surprise,confused
“Sorry sir,but I dont remember …then she stopped after daddy removed his glasses.
“Its a lie, ah Mr Klevin!!, ah …madam !!,madam ,come oh,wa wa wa”
She yelled out
“What is Feyi,kilode?eh ,so you want to chase my customers with noise
“Ah madam guess who?”
“You don mad before ,Feyi,I should guess who ,that’ was why you brought ma ,to say this tardy
“Do you remember, the helpless man that came here to work, with his baby girl, who refused to leave his side remember?
The woman stared at Kelvin then to Special, she could not recognize them,it took her tough minutes of brain cracking
“Ah ah ah ,Oga Kelvin!!”
The other girls came to check what was happening
Ada could recognize them faster since she acted like the second madam in ordering Kelvin around
“Ah ah you say make you visit us,Weldon”
Their madam said excitedly
“Yes please call me Kelvin,I actually came to show my gratitude to Feyi,she was very nice to me, it marveled me back then”
Feyi blushed uncontrollably
“I am happy for you Oga Kelvin “
She said and hugged Special again. Looking up to Kelvin, she saw him holding out a car key
Her heart almost jumped out from it’s chamber
Everyone was dumbfounded bother the customers eating in the place
“Its for you,the key to the car parked outside “
“Madooo,if I hear, na joke abi,Oga Kelvin no dey give me blood pressure ,I don’t want this my fragile heart to be messed with”
Kelvin smiled and put it in her hand
“Jubilee!!”
He called the driver
“Bring the car documents “
The driver did a instructed
“Sign here madam”
The man instructed showing her the places to sign
“me …Madam?ah Oluwa!!”Feyi yelled ,crying like she was beaten
Special was patting her back as she continued signing the papers.
“He will be your driver until you learn how to drive properly”
Kelvin stated.
“Also you can just take the car to your old yard,I have a house in ikoyi,you can stay there for now,also what class did you drop at from?
Feyi fell on her knees crying
Other girls were just ut watching,their facial expression showed how envious and jealous they feel towards her
“Oga Kelvin thank you ,I don’t know if am dreaming but..
“You haven’t answered my question dear”
“Class Six..sir
“Do you know oxford university?”
“Na lie..
“If you are willing to go to school or start a business let me know”
He gave her a wrap of thousand Bill’s
“I appreciate your care and concern “
“Oga abeg make you dey go,this place is not for show off,come dey go abeg,pay me my money for teh food you left untouched oo”
The angry madam started mumbling, seeing that she get nothing in return
Kelvin played double the amount.
“Bye bye oo,Ada ,julie ,madam,bye bye God don remember me”
Happy Feyi waved ,happily as Special took her hand heading out of the restaurant
**AUTHOURESS’S POV**
After settling with Feyi
Kelvin and Special went back to Mrs Gina school which was shut at that moment, they were able to get information about her residence
So when they got to the house
The flat has been occupied by another family
“Oga na Mrs Gina you dey look for”
A passerby or maybe a neighbor,asked
“Yes pleas can we get her contact”
“She don leave the house,park out
“To where,me I no know,the thing be say,she and her husband get problem,her husband first comot before she come carry her pikin them and leave the house”
“Alright thanks for the information”
One of his guards have the man a fat envelope
“A little appreciation”Kelvin said and smiled slightly at him
“Ah…ah…Oga mi!,God bless you sir!!”
he postulated and saluted him,measuring the envelope with his hands,the other neighbors started peeping curiously at him
Kelvin and Special turned to get back into the car
“Emmmmm Oga mi ,there’s one that skipped my mind then… .you for tell me you be good man nah,emmm,I go help you wella,I know the location of her kids,she visits them every month though,almost like she wanted to abandon them”
He said in a whisper
“Abandon?”
Kelvin asked and gaze at Special
“Yes,she gave them our as maids to different white collar people,her first daughter got pregnant last year that one I hear say na baby factory ,she dey sell her babies dey give”
“I think you should get inside the car , let’s talk safe’
Kelvin suggested
“Ah Oga mi, anything for you sir!!”
The man continued yelling and entered the car
The driver engaged the engine and drove off
Few minutes drive
Kelvin asked the question that has been troubling him
“Do you know where the boys are ,the one named Oscar”
“Yes he is a servant boy to one mechanic man in the street there , don’t worry I will take you to them one after the other,na me dey control everything for this area,we go turn left for that junction come go straight,then turn again”
The man replied
Kelvin,patted Specials arm as she rested on his laps
“Oscar was the idiot right?”
She nodded slowly
“But daddy,he is young then maybe….
“That’s not any excuse for his idiotic act,I will make sure he gets what he deserve”
Kelvin said strictly
“I dey come !!!,I dey come!!!”
Kiri kiri waved at his guys from the car window.
It was an hour ride because of the traffic ,so they got to the mechanical shop
Seeing the cars one could dictate the surprise and exciting look on the faces of the work boys
Kelvin and Special came down from the came,kirikiri came down with hair shoulder hanging higher than his neck
“Emmm where una Oga for here!!!”
He yelled at the boys
“Make I go call am”
One of the boys volunteered.
Special searched carefully for the culprit,she could not identity anyone of them,he must be an a grown teenager or adult now ,so Special expected it to be this hard
Few seconds later,the Oga came running like a Fisher man that just caught the biggest fish and returning home to brag about it.
“”Na your Oga be this?”
Kirikiri asked the boys ,they all nodded
“Good afternoon sir,how can I help you’
The man greeted kirikiri
His head doubled in size
“Dey talk sir with your full chest no dey do mouth like that… Emm,Oga mi, that’s the senior boss ,I am the junior boss ,he want to make.some inquiries from you”

The man gazed at Kelvin ,one look he could tell he is not a regular rich man,he was putting on the cheapest outfit,a rich man with such personality is not a millionaire,only boys that make millions brag and dressed to show off”
“Good day sir please how may I help you?”
“Please you can call me Kelvin,and I need your help,I have an issue with one of your boys,but my daughter doesn’t seem to recognize him yet,are your boys all present here”
“No ,I sent one to buy me a drink ,he will be back shortly,but he is definitely not a trouble maker,my best boy actually,I can swear with my life for him but those ones here ,you can take them”The mechanic man stated.
Others made a sound to show their annoyance at their master’s statement.
“See albino get me a chair, there,make I sit down”Kiri ordered

The boy mumbled

Kirikiri snapped back at him
Just then the other boy arrived
He bowed respectfully at his boss and gave him the drink
Then his eyes went with Special
It took him just seconds to recognize her,but Special had no idea who he was
He rushed to Special , accidentally shoved Kelvin aside and hugged her ,crying on top of his voice
Special and her daddy were staring ta eachother in confusion, others stood puzzled at his reaction too
A sudden anger raised in Kevin,he thought since he can recognize her then he is the one
“Please take him”
Two of the army men dragged him out from Special and hit him dragging him into the car
“What’s this rubbish,I can swear for that boy ,he is innocent of the accusations whatever”
“My daughter is not a liar,I will pay for the emotional damage,am not the type that oppresses the poor cus of my status,I apologize for the disrespect this may cause you”
Kelvin stated
“Oga no let them take me ,I did nothing wrong , Special is that really you, please say something”
Oscar kept crying out loud
As they forced him into the boot
