THE SCHOOL GHOST
Episode 6
Written by remi the writer

Adanna left their doorstep in shame, it seems like her only key to unlock the mystery behind richard’s background remains unyielding.

It began to rain cats and dogs, as she walked past the bungalow house.

The couples words keeps replaying back and forth in her mind like a broken record.

Her mind whirlwind of thoughts.

But that’s the home address she had copied down in the principals office.

Her breath hitching as she soliloquize.

“The wrong address? the disgrace, her efforts to uncover Richard’s origin had led her here, only to be met with deception and humiliation.

Her soliloquizing was interrupted by a ghostly figure in the heavy rain

Adanna’s breath caught as Richard materialized before her.

His form flickered, half in this world and half beyond.

Fear gripped her, and she stumbled back, her mind racing whether to flee or to summon courage.

She had trailed him relentlessly, seeking answers, driven by an inexplicable force.

But now, face to face with the school terror, she wondered if her obsession for the truth had led her astray.

Richards eyes sent a million daggers into hers.

His voice cut through the rain.

“Looking for me?” he queried. “Oh, Adanna, you’ve already unraveled more than you realize, why were you following me?

“What do you mean?” Her voice trembled.

He stepped closer, and the air grew colder. “My stepdad murdered me,” Richard said.

Adanna’s mind reeled. “But I don’t understand?”

“My mum left for her trip,” Richard continued. “And in her absence, he killed me.”

“Killed you? who killed you? But you’re here,” Adanna retorted. “How?”

Richard’s gaze darkened. “I lingered,” he said. “A ghost, trapped between realms.

I learned to wield my powers, with the help of other ghosts, I came back to save my mother from his hands, and am going to need your help to do that.”

Adanna’s heart pounded. “Why are you telling me this?”

“Because,” Richard said, “the day approaches. The day he’ll kill my mother approaches, and i would need your help to stop him, now that you already know am a ghost”.

Adanna’s mind raced. “Help? how can I help?”

Richard’s form wavered. “You’re my link,” he said. “My connection to the living world. I just need justice.”

“But I’m just a girl,” Adanna retorted

Adanna took two steps backwards.

She tried to flee, but Richard was faster. He entered her, merging into her soul.

His ghost essence flowed into her body.

She felt his past memories, his pains, his companions in the ghost world.

Adanna’s vision blurred. Richard’s thoughts fused with hers. She saw some strange rituals and incantations while he was still alive.

“What’s happening” Adanna gasped.

she screamed, her voice no longer her own. Richard’s voice echoed in her mind.

Adanna’s body compelled beyond her control.

As she stepped out of St bishop street, Adanna’s eyes glowed an otherworldly white luminescence.

The rain washed away her tears, combined with the memories of an angry ghost.

She was no longer Adanna alone, she was richard, the ghost seeking justice for his death.
