THE SCHOOL GHOST
Episode 5
Written by remi the writer

Esther’s sudden blindness sent shockwaves through the school.

The paramedics whisked her away, their voices urgent, their questions unanswered.

Adanna watched, torn between fear for her friend and curiosity about the inexplicable events.

Amaka’s’s snake b!tes and now esthers bl!ndness.

Definitely this is no ordinary.

It was as if the very fabric of reality had frayed.

Adanna couldn’t ignore it any longer. She needed answers. And those answers lay with Richard.

She decided to follow him when school had dismissed.

Trying to unfold the threads of this supernatural occurrence going on in the school.

After school had dismissed adanna keep tabs on richard’s movement, then trail behind him secretly.

But her plans were futile, whenever she tried following him, richard was far ahead of her, causing her to loose tracks with him.

She came up with the idea of checking his records in the principals office.

After school had dismissed, she secretly sneaked into the principal’s office, her heart begins to beat faster, than the average human.

After going through the old wooden desk, it held a stack of files of student records, attendance sheets, and the key to unlock the mystery.

Adanna searched for Richard’s details, her fingers were trembling as she scanned the entire room, hoping no one was watching.

There it was “Richard Okafor” She copied down his home address.

Under the dim light of ST Bishop street in the evening.

Adanna stood before Richard’s house.

It was a modest bungalow, its windows darkened.

She knocked, her pulse echoing in her ears.

The door creaked open, revealing two middle-aged couples, confusion clouded their minds at the sight of the teen on uniform.

“Can I help you?” the woman asked, her voice brittle.

Adanna took a deep breath. “I’m Adanna,” she said. “Richard’s friend from school.”

The woman’s eyes widened. “Richard?”

Her voice cracked. “Do you know where our son is?”.

Adanna was perplexed, ” but why is Richard’s supposed mother asking if she knew where her son was?” adanna rally words, then gather her wits.

“No ma’am, I just came to borrow his note book that’s all”.

Tears welled in the woman’s eyes.

“He has been missing for years now, and we don’t know his whereabouts, do you where he’s? …..does he school with you?

Adanna’s mind spun. “He’s schooling with us in St Anthony, aren’t you the ones who enrolled him to school? “.

“We searched everywhere,” the man who seems old enough to be Richards father cut in.

“Police, private investigators. No trace of him. And now you say he’s in your school?”

Adanna nodded. “He’s different,” she said. “Something weird is going on currently in my school, and we believe he’s behind all the happenings” adanna retorted.

The woman clutched her husband’s arm. “Tell us,” she pleaded. “What happened to our son?”

Adanna shook her head, then began to explain what had transpired her to track him down, amaka’s snake bites and Esther’s sudden bl!ndness

The couple exchanged glances at each other, then the man scoffed.

“Seems like you’re lost kid, wrong address….”.

To be continued.
