At the garden
Braylen’s POV continues..
We all sat on the grass forming a circle..
“Elara,Kristin. Hope you guys are not hurt?” I asked
and they both shook their head negatively..
“That was a good show back there” I said smiling..
“How naive of me,i didn’t even go through the
schorlarship form before filling it cos if i had..I
would have dealt with before now but i just kept
thinking i will lose the schorlarship..But i feel so
good haven giving her a taste of her own medicine”
Elara said..

“Ela,even at that you should have given her a punch
on her nose the moment she slapped you” Kristin
said demonstrating with her fists and we all bursted
into laughter..
“Kristin,you told Rossi that Jerry is yours..Is there
anything you guys are not telling us?” I teased….
She look down at the grass and started twisting her
fingers nervously..
“Hmm..I just have to say that to stop her from
lusting after him…And i felt real good to have
beaten the hell out of her,it was fun to see her
whine like a baby” Kristin said and we all laughed
again..

“But Elara,you really beat up,all her face is swollen
and bursted. I hope her dad won’t draw up the
case” Jerry said worriedly..
“If he draws up the case,we have witnesses that
Nicky started the fight..And she’s not the only one
who has a dad..My dad is definitely gonna help us
so there is nothing to worry about” Kristin said..
We all went silent….Nothing to say..
“Hmm Elara,about last night” I said breaking the
silence..And her cheeks went red instantly..
Kristin and jerry stood up and went to sit at the
other end of the garden..
“Elara why were you avoiding my gaze?” I asked..
“Nothing”
“Ok about last night,were you okay with it?..If you
are not. Then am sorry…
“N..no,it’s fine am very okay with it..” She said..
“Really?” I asked.
“Yes”..
“Awww there is a bruise on your chin” I said
touching it gently..
“Owww” She winced in pain..
“Sorry does it hurt?” I asked and she nodded..
“Am sorry i couldn’t protect you” I said feeling
guilty..

“It’s no problem,i actually told you not to. You don’t
have to feel guilty about it ok? ” She said..
“There is another cut on your upper lip” I said
touching it gently with my second finger..Her lip felt
so soft against my finger and i leaned over and
gently pecked the cut on her upper lip..
“Thanks” She said smiling..
I held her two hands and looked deeply into her
eyes,with cool breeze blowing through our hair..

I LOVE ELARA !!
Kristin’s POV
I laid my back on the grass staring up at the sky
with Jerry also doing the same..In silence .
“Kristin” I heard Jerry called .
“Huh?” I said still gazing up at the sky..
“Last night” He mumbled scratching his head..” I’m
sorry to have kissed you like that” He said .
“There is nothing to be sorry for ok?” I said..
“Really?” He asked
“Yes”
“Then why were you avoiding my gaze?” He asked..
“Hmm…Was i?” I asked pretending not to know
what he’s talking about..
“Yes you were,i kept staring at you but you wont
even spare me a glance,and when you finally meet
my gaze you will quicky look away” Jerry said…
“I’m sorry” I said…
“Krist” He called and i faced him..
“Huh?” I asked
“i…i..”
“What?” I asked..
“Never mind” He said..
“Really? You can say whatever you want to say” I
prompted..
“Hmm…It’s actually nothing” He said..
“Kristin,the arts teacher told us to come by lunch
break for the gift” Elara said walking towards me..
“Oh..That’s true” I said standing up..

“We are coming guys” We said and left tge garden..

“Good afternoon sir” We both greeted entering the
office..
” Afternoon girls,i must commend you guys,your
practical was wow” The teacher said..
“Thank you sir”..
“You are welcome,the practical was actually done to
select class prefects by the highest mark..And it
seems your pair got the highest mark..So i will
present to you;
The badges of recognition as the class prefect” The
teacher said..
We both jumped in excitement,giggling..
He brought out two badges in cream colour,with
“Class prefect” inscribed on it in purple, he handed
it to us one after the other and told us to clip it to
our chests..We did that happily..
“Thank you sir”We both said again..
He nodded and brought out a paper..” On this paper
is the restrictions,functions and benefits of class
prefect,are written..
We glanced through the paper and i must say the
benefits are quite much,just little restrictions and
the functions are quite okay..
“You must obey the rules,serve as good examples
and also be good leaders to your classmates..Ok?”
“Ok sir” We both said still smiling..
” Alright you can go,but announce to your class
mates that there is a public holiday on wednesday”
The teacher said..
“Ok sir” We both said and left the office happily..

“Hey guys guess what?” I said with Elara beside me
as we entered the garden.
“What?” Jerry asked
“Where are your gifts” Braylen asked curiously..
And we both pointed to our chests smiling
widely..They both stood up and walked closer. .
“Wow” Jerry said..
“Really?” Braylen also said..
“Congrats girls” They both said happily and hugged
us one after the other..
“Thanks guys”..
“Guys there is a public holiday on wedneday” I
said..
“Really?” The both said already grinning..
“Lazy guys” Elara mumbled but they heard and
pouted their lips and also squeezing their fore head
to show that they are annoyed at what Elara said..
We both bursted out laughing cos their faces looks
so funny..
“Am thinking of something guys” I said..
“What?” They all asked facing me..
