Monday morning
Elara’s POV
I came out of the bathroom after brushing and
bathing..
“I better hurry,Kristin is coming to pick me” I
thought…
I wore my undies before putting on the school
uniform,i tucked the shirt into the skirt..Brushed my
hair and packed it in the normal ponytail,put on my
socks and shoes..Wore the “Friendship”
bracelet,carried my bag..glanced round the room
one more time before going out…
“Good morning granny” I greeted entering the
kitchen..
“Morning Ara,i forgot to ask how your practical
went” Granny said..
“We constructed it well and its looks so little
beautiful” I said smiling..
“Ok then,take this to the dining,i will join you soon”
Granny said stretching two cups of coffee on a
small tray to me..
“Ok granny” I said and collected it about to go when
i remembered..
“Granny,Kristin is coming over to pick me”
“Really?” Granny asked..
“Yes,is it okay for me to invite her in?” I asked..
“Ofcourse yes,i want to meet her” Granny said
smiling..
“Ok granny” I replied and took the coffee’s to the
dining..

The moment we finished eating was when we heard
a car horn…I hurried to the window to peep if its
Kristin’s car and i was right…I saw her pink lexus
parked outside the house..
“Granny she’s here. Im going to invite her in” I said
going outside..
“Kristin” I called smiling as i got to her car..
“Ela how are you?” Kristin asked alighting from the
car..
“I’m fine,granny said i should invite you in”
“Really?” she asked..
“Yes..Yes” I replied playfully dragging her along..We
entered the house..
“Granny” Kristin is here ” I called and granny came
out of the kitchen..She smiled as she saw Kristin..
“Good morning granny” Kristin said walking towards
her..
“Morning Kristin,how are you?”
“Fine granny”
“Ara has told me alot about you,and Ara i must say
you have a very beautiful friend”..
“Thanks granny” Kristin said..
“Do you care for some pancake and coffee?” Granny
asked..
“Thanks granny,but i’ve had my breakfast” Kristin
said..
“Ok then,Ara your lunch box is on the dining,go and
take it before you leave”..
I walked to the dining and grabbed my lunch box
and headed back to the sitting room,i saw Kristin
smiling at what granny is saying and i can tell
they’ve took a liking towards eachother…
“Kristin am ready,can we leave now?”
“Of course yes. Bye granny” Kristin said..
“Bye granny” I also said walking to the door..
“Bye darlings,have a nice day”..Granny said after
us..
We entered the lexus and the driver started
driving..I saw our practical on the front seat..
“Wow,i didn’t know we constructed it this
beautiful..” I said..
“Yes it’s so beautiful with the straws and all” Kristin
said..
“Ela i want to tell you something” Kristin whispered
to me..
“What” I whispered back cos it seems she doesn’t
want the driver to hear. .
“Hmm..Jerry kissed me last night” She whispered
and her cheeks turns red..
I gasp
“Really?” I asked..
“Yes” She said smiling..
“Wow,i also want to tell you something” I whispered
to her..
“What?” She whispered back..
“Braylen also kissed me in the car last night” I
said..
“Really?” She asked..
“Yes”
“Wow,did they both planned it?” Kristin said..
“I don’t think so” I said and shook my head..
“We kissed till the security man caught us,i had to
rush inside” Kristin said and we both bursted into
laughter..
“It was the driver that cleared his throat and i felt so
embarrassed and couldn”t face him till we got to
my house” I said and we both laughed again…
“To be sincere,i think i like Jerry” Kristin said..
“Yes i know,it’s all written over your face” I said..
“Don’t also tell me you don’t have feelings for
Braylen, I saw how you look at him” Kristin teased…
“Hmm..Yes am starting to like Braylen” I
confessed..
“Good” Kristin said squeezing her forehead and we
both laughed again..
” Do you think they would have arrived at school?” I
asked
“I think so” Kristin said
” I don’t think i can face Braylen after last night…
“Come-on,we are just gonna avoid their gaze cos i
don’t think i can also face jerry” Kristin said..
The driver stopped the car and we both glanced up;
“We are already is school?” The both of us said
obviously surprised..

” That was so fast” I mumbled..
We got down and Kristin carried the practical,we
both climbed the stairs and finally got to our
class..We entered feeling nervous and most of the
students shouted “Wow” obviously at our practical..
My heart jumped when i saw Braylen sitted looking
more cute,jerry also sitting beside him..
Kristin and i glanced at each other and she gave me
a reassuring look as we walked to our seat..
I could feel Braylen’s gaze on me as we sat,i
quickly faced Kristin’s locker not wanting to meet
his gaze..Kristin was also avoiding Jerry’s
gaze…But they just kept staring at us..
The arts teacher came in and told everyone to place
their practical on their locker..
“The overall mark is 50” He said and began from
the front seat,commenting on the practicals and
also giving them marks..He got to Nicky’s and
Rossi’s locker which is in front of ours..
“This is nice,i will give you 43%” He said and they
both smiled cos that seems the highest mark..
“Wow.He said on getting to our locker..This is so
beautiful..I will give you 48%” He said and left for
Braylen’s and Jerry’s locker..
We both smiled obviously happy on the mark we
got …
“This is nice,i will give you 45%” He said and
Braylen and Jerry also smiled…
I caught Braylen’s gaze and immediately removed
my gaze with my cheeks burning..
The teacher went to stand in front of the class after
commenting and giving all the students marks on
their practical..
“You all tried,but it seems i didn’t tell you that the
pair that got the highest mark is gonna recieve a
gift so..Kristin Vlados and Elara Wentworth,come to
my office by lunch break for your gift” The teacher
said and walked out of the class..
We were both grinning obviously happy..
Other teachers came in to teach…

Fast forward
LUNCH BREAK
Braylen’s POV
I told jerry what happened between i and Elara last
night,he seems surprised and also told me he did
the same with Kristin..
She’s looking more beautiful when she walked into
the class..I kept staring at her but she was avoiding
my gaze and i noticed Kristin is also doing the
same to Jerry..
I have a feeling they’ve told theirselves what
happened last night…
It’s lunch break,and they were still seated
discussing and laughing…
Suddenly Nicky banged her table very loud and
stood up..All the class turned to her..She walked to
Elara’s Locker and grabbed her by the neck..
“You are leaving this school today but first i have to
deal with you and also embarrass you in the
cafeteria” Nicky said and began dragging Elara
roughly to the cafeteria…Kristin barged behind her
obviously angry and Jerry and i also scurried along
with the whole class..

AT THE CAFETERIA
“Nicky leave her alone now or you’re gonna regret it”
I yelled furiously..
“Nicky to hell with you” Kristin said angrily and
started barging towards Nicky but Nicky told her
puppies to hold her..
They held Kristin putting her hands behind her
back..
“Release her now!” Jerry yelled to the two girls
holding Kristin..
The whole school were already gathered in the
cafeteria watching with interest..
“Elara Wentworth,you are leaving this school today
but you are gonna get beating from me first” Nicky
said and gave Elara two slaps,kicked her on her leg
and Elara fell down on her knees with tears building
in her eyes..
I barged angrily towards Nicky but stopped when
Elara said;
“Braylen please stay back,i dont want to lose the
schorlarship..There is no money to further my
education..So please stay back for my sake” Elara
said with quivering voice and the whole students
got emotional,some where already sobbing..
Nicky gave Elara a punch on the nose and blood
started dripping out..
“Ela fight back!!! My dad is gonna sponsor you to
any school of your choice” Kristin screamed in tears
struggling to be free from the girls holding her
hands..
Everyone stood rooted to the spot,not able to
move,everwhere is in silence..
Nicky slapped Elara’s face again and Elara winced
in pains..
Hello dad” Nicky said smiling with her ipod
placed on her ear..
My angel” Her dad’s broad voice filled the
whole cafeteria..
Dad,i want you to expel someone” Nicky said
dragging Elara’s hair..
Ok my angel,her name?”
Elara Wentworth” Nicky said grinning
Is that not the name of that schorlarship
student?” Her father asked..
Yes dad it is”
Am sorry angel,i cant expel her cos it’s the
government that gave her the schorlarship,if i expel
her am gonna recieve query and it will affect the
school’s reputation..Am very busy now..Bye” Her
dad said to the hearing of all the people in the
cafeteria..
Some students were already smiling obviously
happy for Elara..
Nicky’s face fell but she quickly braced up..
“If you cant be expelled,that doesn’t mean i wont
punish you” Nicky said about to give Elara another
slap when Elara held her hand,stood up and pushed
Nicky to the floor,she pounced on her and started
punching Nicky’s face mercilessly with Nicky
screaming for help…The students were all happy
hailing Elara…

Nicky’s puppies released Kristin about to go and
help Nicky when Jerry and i held them back..
Kristin ran over to where Elara was beating Nicky
mercilessly..Kristin took a leftover noodles from
one of the tables and smashed it on Nicky’s
face..She also joined in beating Nicky by biting
nicky’s arm and dragging her leg..
“Don’t dare touch my best friend ever again” Kristin
said and intentionally jumped on Nicky’s leg..Nicky
screamed out in pain..And the whole cafeteria
bursted into laughter,some were throwing fries and
pouring water on Nicky…Elara just kept beating her
without mercy..

Nicky’s face was well swollen with a broken nose
and bursted lips..But Elara still kept beating her..
Jerry and i was still holding the girls,who were
struggling to go to Nicky..I noticed Rossi(One of
nicky’s puppy) didn’t struggle but just kept staring
admiringly at Jerry who was holding her oblivious of
being stared at. .
Kristin suddenly walked to us and said;
“Rossi stop staring at him cos he’s mine ok?
And all the students gasp except Jerry who kept
grinning like a fool..
“To hell with you” Rossi said and spat at
Kristin…Kristin gave her two resounding slaps and
dragged her to where Elara was still dealing with
Nicky…Kristin also started beating Rossi who was
screaming like a baby..We left Kristin and Elara to
beat them for a while before finally walking to
them…

“Elara please it’s okay” I said and dragged Elara
from Nicky’s body cos she it doesn’t seems she
would stop any time soon..
“You this bitch!! How does it feel to get a taste of
your own medicine” Elara said and spat at Nicky..
Jerry also dragged Kristin from Rossi’s body
Nicky and rossi were both rushed to the school
clinic by their third friend cos it seems no one was
willing to help…

The students continued laughing hailing Kristin and
Elara..
“Elara hope you aren’t hurt anywhere?” I whispered
to her..
She shook her head..I held her hands looking inside
her eyes..
Let’s go to the garden,i said to Elara,kristin and
jerry..
Garden? Kristin and Jerry asked together…
Elara and i nodded and told them to follow us…We
all went out of the cafeteria heading to the garden
in silence with different thoughts running through our
minds…
