Braylen’s POV

Wow..
I love what Kristin did,i felt jealous a little but also happy for Elara, She’s lucky to have Kristin as a friend because Kristin is kind hearted and respectful,she doesn’t even flaunts with her father’s wealth…
Miss Vivian entered with a new boy beside her wearing Edron college uniform…
“Hello class,this is Jerry Brandon,he’s also a schorlarship student but he resumed late,please welcome him.”
“Jerry,your locker is over there” Miss Vivian said pointing to a locker beside me and walked out…
Jerry nodded and began walking to his seat,i noticed some girls staring at him,he’s cute…Rossi(Nicky’s puppy) Kept staring at him till he got to his seat and i also noticed Kristin cant take her eyes off him either..
He sat and i was surprised he said hi to me…
“Hi am jerry” He said.
“Am braylen,welcome to Edron college” I replied…
“Thanks” He said opening his locker..
“Am gonna show you around the school whenever you are free,if you don’t mind. ” I said
“Wow thanks,i definitely don’t mind” He replied smiling..
I nodded…
The arts teacher came in and started teaching…
“Our topic for today is construct practical” The teacher said and most of the students started mumbling…
“I’ll pair you in twos,and give you and your partner what to work on,you will do it over the weekend and submit it on monday…I will pair you according to how your name is written on the register,i will start with the girl’s.” The teacher said about to start calling names when Nicky interrupted him…
“Hey,i want Rossi and I paired together. Ok? She said rudely..
“Ohh…Ok” The teacher said obviously afraid of being fired…
He started calling names…
“Elara Wentworth and Kristin Vlados” The teacher called and they both stood up obviously happy for being paired together…
“You both are going to construct a little bird house with straws,to be submitted on monday” The teacher said and they both sat down and started discussing….
The teacher continued calling the girls name,pairing them together and giving them what to work on…He finished calling the girls name and started calling the boy’s…
Till he got to;
“Braylen Gregor and Jerry Brandon”.
We both stood up and i saw Jerry smiling and i also smiled a little…
“You both are going to use broken bottles to construct any animal of your choice on a plywood,to be submitted on monday” The teacher said and we both sat down…
“Braylen, Jerry called…What is the plan for the practical?”
“You can come over to my house tomorrow,i have some bottles so we are just gonna break it and start the practical” I replied..
“Ok,i will also bring the plywood we will be using” Jerry said..
“Ok i will give you my address before school’s over..
He nodded and i noticed his eyes are focused on something..I traced his gaze..And it was Kristin he was staring at….
I smiled and shook my head…
Kristin’s POV
..
The new boy is so cute,i found myself staring at him as he walked over to his seat..
His hair is brown and styled,his eyes are deep blue and his nose is sharply pointed and his lips…
I noticed i wasn’t the only one staring at him…
“Kristin” I heard Ela called..
“I’ve been calling you but it seems your mind is somewhere else and also your gaze is on someone else” Ela teased…
“I wasn’t really staring at him” I defended or rather lied..
” I caught you Kristin,you don’t have to lie to me” Ela said smiling and i suddenly feel my cheeks go red…
I was happy the teacher paired Elara and I together and we are gonna construct a little bird house with straws..
“Ela,don’t you think the practical is a little difficult” I said..
“No it isn’t, i’ve actually been taught in my former school” Ela replied..
“Really?” I asked excitedly..
“Yes”…
“Will you come over to my house tomorrow?” I asked..
“Ok, but the straws?” Ela said..
” I actually have alot of straws at home” I lied..
“Ok” she said..
We didn’t really have straws at home,i’ll buy it on my way home but i have to lie to Ela because i know if i tell her that am gonna buy it with my money,she will also want to bring some money to join with it…And i know they don’t really have much….
I glanced up and saw the new boy staring at me,but he quickly looked away..
Am i really the one he’s staring at? …
🍭LUNCH BREAK🍭
Elara’s POV..
I can see Kristin is into the new boy,the guy is cute but is there anybody cuter than Braylen?…
Not that i’ve seen…I thought heading to the garden to eat my lunch, Kristin has actually went to the cafeteria to eat and Braylen told me he may not come to the garden because he wants to show the new boy around..So i will be eating alone …
🌲AT THE GARDEN🌲
I walked into the garden and dropped my lunch box on the grass,about to sit when i saw a butterfly with a lot of beautiful colours perched on a sunflower…I left my lunch and walked towards the butterfly in admiration..I was about touching its little wing when it flew and perched on another flower..I walked towards the other flower trying to touch it but if flew away to another flower again…It kept doing that and i was also grinning till it finally flew up to the sky…
I smiled and turned back to where i kept my lunch but i could not find it,i searched and searched but still couldn’t find it…Cold sweats were starting to break out on my forehead,i stood in the middle of the garden with my hands Akimbo..
Something or is it someone suddenly jumped out behind the little tree in the garden..I stumbled and fell on the grass,tightly closing my eyes in fear thinking it was one of those tree monsters i normally watch in cartoon when i was a kid….But i suddenly heard laughter instead of roaring…I slightly opened my eyes and i saw a leg with Edron college trouser and shoe…
Does tree monsters were school uniform? I thought in fear still not able to glance up completely…I heard laughter again and started opening my eyes little by little till i finally openend it completely…
What!
“Braylen!” I exclaimed in surprise.. He was laughing so hard,with my lunch box in his hands.I stood up and pretended to frown…He shifted back biting his lips to stop laughing..I walked towards him again..He shifted back again and started running,i started running after him…We were running round the garden and braylen was still laughing hard,i can’t also help it. I bursted into laughter still running after him…..
“Elara wait,i will give you your lunch box but?” He said breathlessly…
“What?” I asked curiously..
“We will eat the meal together” He said grinning..
” Ohh…Ok,am actually tired from running,let’s just sit and eat” I replied sitting down on the grass…
Braylen also walked towards me and sat opening the meal..and we started eating…
“I thought you said you will show the new boy around the school?”
“Yes ,i’ve done that and he has went to the cafeteria to eat” Braylen replied with mouthful…
“You really scared me,i thought it was a tree monster” I said pretending to frown..
“Tree monster?” He asked and bursted out laughing again…I hitted him playfully on his shoulder…
“Elara,you are a coward..Tree monster doesn’t exist” He said grinning about to start laughing again..
I pouted my lips and pretended to be angry at him for laughing at me…
“Ok..Ok, i won’t laugh anymore” He said..
“Griiiin!!!!” We heard the bell
We both stood,braylen carrying the empty lunch box and we headed to the class and i can still see braylen trying to hold his laughter….
We entered the class and braylen suddenly whispered “Tree monster” to me and started laughing running to his seat..I laughed and also ran after him but suddenly stopped when i saw the whole class glaring at us…..
I saw Nicky looking surprised and angry..
Who cares!!!
I sat and Kristin tapped me on my shoulder,i turned and she winked at me smiling…
What !!
* Fast forward*
( School over)
Braylen’s POV
“Jerry,here is my house address” I said stretching a white paper with my address on it…
He collected it and nodded as we both headed downstairs…
I asked Elara to let me drop her but she said Kristin has offered to…I smiled still remembering the time we spent in the garden..I didn’t know she was that funny…
“Bye Braylen” Jerry said interrupting my thought…Oh..I didn’t know we’ve gotten downstairs even with my driver already waiting for me..
“Jerry hop in,my driver is gonna drop you” I said…
He hesitated at but later entered my blue benz…We both sat at the back discussing about the practical till we reached his house..
“Bye” He said alighting from the car..
“Bye,you can come by 8:30am tomorrow” I said and he nodded..
My driver drove off and i can’t wait to get home..I need to get under cold shower..
