TEMI 2 Episode 21
“Mama. Temi is your lost son. The wounded boy we brough here” Lance
informed Eliza who turned grim to every soothing words hauled at her.
“So where is he now ?” Eliza wept out still throwing her eyes around to grope for Temi.
“Mama.. It’s okay. He has gone. He promised to come back” Mirabel
announced trying to placate the crestfallen state of Eliza as she moved
closer to embrace her.
“They will kill my son.. Those people will kill my son” Eliza continued wailing.
Lance and her mother looked up at Mirabel for better explanation. They
needed her to spill out whatever was necessary for them to savvy out the
the task Tunde asked for.
“So my daughter where did Temi go?” Nurse Tracy asked Mirabel throwing
constringed face towards Eliza to stop crying and let them handle the
situation.
Mirabel resumed spluttering all about the video message sent to Temi
by his father, exacting him to rescue some four innocent kids trussed
down like hostages. While failing to do, he would be responsible for the
death of the kids.
Lance and her mom watched and listened to Mirabel’s explanations with
exquisite attentions, something that made them quickly construe what the
meaning of the message Tunde sent.
“I think this man that sent this message to you knew this will happen
and was sure it was some sort of trap or ambuscade for Temi which he
wouldn’t be able to handle, reason he asked you to save him. Or what do
you think mom ?”
“Same thing you are thinking son. So
what do we do now to save him. Since he is already gone” Nurse Tracy asked his son.
“Mum, if he hadn’t gone before we arrived here, then we would discern
out a proper way to rescue the kids but now that it’s to late to do
that.. I need to save him. Temi needs my back-up” Lance said groking out
a determined and firmed look. Look full of upshot to save his friend,
Temi the life saver. Only a nescient will call him a killer. To him,
what more could be more heroic than someone who was always ready to
stake his life just to save others?
He blamed his narcissistic hate on him all those time he thought he had
come to snatch Mirabel away from him. And even how he doltishly remained
docile to the point of getting himself killed. Thank God for bringing
Temi that planned his escape. Lance knew if Temi was in his situation
back then, he would have even paid bucks for his abductors to get him
quickly but excruciating killed.
But all the same, he felt elated to reason out that life wasn’t just
about retaliation and selfishness all the way. While sometimes, you’ve
got to let bygones be bygones and let irrelevant things slide away.
Mirabel was the reason he felt choler towards Temi, but now he had since
admitted they were never meant to be and had even sworn on insisting to
be the best man for Temi, if it actually happened they would working
down the aisle someday.
“My son do you know where to find him ?’ Eliza asked from the backseat
of the car with Mirabel sitting beside her gruntling her all the way,
for she never ceased of snivelling. Nurse Tracy occupied the seat beside
the driver. While Lance who was the driver had purred life to the
vehicle which was on full speed to Abeokuta.
“Yes ma” Lance retorted. How couldn’t he recognise the den of he was
once be ensnared. I have been there before. He suppressed the urge to
say that. He opened a closed pouch in the nook of the car and smiled
when he sighted his two pistols fully loaded inside their holsters.
“The battle is ours, not yours Temi” Inspector Lance grinned out.
