Tell Your Mum To Leave by Olujimi Ayomide

My mum came visiting

My wife wasn’t good with it

“Tell her to leave”

She told me

“How can i,she is my mother”

I replied

“Okay,she’ll leave herself”

She said smirking

I wonder what games, she was up to

During dinner

She served my mum with no meat

“Mama,I’m sorry,we had no meat,we just want to go to the market”

Mum nodded

I wonder when meat suddenly finished

I just bought some yesterday

She served my food with two meats

And took three

No wonder she asked if my mum was still alive that time

Mum was not done eating

My wife suddenly packed the plates off her front

Mum nodded

I knew my mom, when she nodded, she wants to play a new game

After dinner

We were seated

And mum spoke up

“My son,the reason why I’m here is that,

Your wife in the village and your three son,

They misses you,you didn’t give them your address

Why,

You were here with a barren girl

If you don’t want me to curse you with my two breast

Go and bring them here to live with you.”

The truth is,I had no wife in the village

Mom just played a fast one to teach my wife a lesson

Wifey stood up and went inside

She cried a river in there
