My neighbor in my former compound just died and it’s causing chaos.
Mid-last year, his wife walked out of their marriage with her children.
Their problem started the day his wife found out that he’s been spending on a lady he was doing brother and sister in Christ with. At first, she didn’t think their relationship was that deep. The young lady would even visit them sometimes and she’d give her a warm welcome, not knowing that she was part of her midnight tears.
Their oldest child was in basic three and the man kept giving excuses upon excuses about why he couldn’t pay the kid’s school fees. She felt she understood his type of business and took his words. She borrowed money to pay the school fees against leaving the boy at home till the next term he suggested.
Things kept going from not having money for school fees to not having money for their feeding. She kept doing everything to support the man, even borrowed and he’d still not ask her how she managed to pay the bills. He started showing an I don’t care attitude. This got her worried and she became too inquisitive, she wanted to know where rain followed to enter the horn of a moving train. She went through his phone in his absence and found so many debit alerts with the same recipient.
It was the sister in Christ that the money was sent to. Even the day he said he didn’t have money for their son’s school fees, he sent the lady her school fees about 120k.
This broke the woman and just like the Tiktok woman, she shouted Oga I cannot bear this again, marriage is not a do or die. How can you be suffering with someone and the person would be enjoying with another person, it wasn’t fair. All efforts to get her to stay didn’t work, she left and told him to go and marry the lady.
Little did she know that the man had intentions of marrying the lady. But like life, the Lady had her plans too and that didn’t include the man.
He woke up one day and saw posts of people congratulating the lady as the latest bride in town. He checked again and she was the one. This is someone he has given almost everything to, hoping that he’d reap from it, only to be abandoned like an old toy almost the same time his wife left him. He couldn’t swallow it, so he drove down to her house and they had a heated argument before he left.
🔥 On his way back home, he had an accident that took his right leg. They called his wife to come and take care of him, but she refused, saying that she’s not only good for suffering. She stood her ground and the man went into depression and committed suicide.
