There was a man of honour in the land of Isieke.this man don’t have , father, mother or brother,no relation.He had been living in the land of Isieke for years,and was loved by all due to his generous lifestyle.
He (Okonkwo)was a wealthy man that share what he have with the less privileged.due to this the king of the land made him one of his council of elders of the land.due to his wisdom he acquired a lot of land and slaves who was working for him in his farm land and chamber.
But no matter how good you think you are someone, somewhere must be envious of you.some men was not happy with the love Mr Okonkwo received from the people of Isieke.Because Mr Okonkwo was not an indigenous citizen of Isieke.
There thought was,how can a stranger be among the king’s cabinet.making law in the land that does not belong to him.that there is something strange about him.
One day Mr Okonkwo was resting in his chamber,these men disguise themselves as people looking for job,they came to Mr Okonkwo asking him to employ them so that they can see money to take care of their families.
Without having a second thought Mr Okonkwo employed them.without knowing that he has made a very big mistake of his life.these men work with all their strength and mind in the first month, trying to gain favour in the sight of their master.
When Mr Okonkwo saw how devoted these men was he gave them his trust.not only his trust he promote them to his board of trustees.he gave them a private hot so that they can live as kings in his chamber.
One night Mr Okonkwo left his hot and walk straight to a path leading to the river without knowing that one of those men saw him and followed him up(tracking) .when Okonkwo get to the main entrance of the road that leads to the river the man speed up to catch up but before he could had covered up Okonkwo had gotten to the river.but when the man got to the river he didn’t see any sign of him.
When he got to the river he didn’t see any sign of a living creature around their.he decided to go back but own his way home he had a change of thought,that he had to wait to see when Mr Okonkwo will return back.so he hanged by the road side but when he noticed that Mr Okonkwo was not yet to come back he decided to go back to his hot.
On his way going in ,he saw Mr Okonkwo coming out from his hot.that got him surprised and also thinking,”when did Mr Okonkwo crossed him?when did he comeback cause he has been waiting patiently to see him Cross?”but he was not bold enough to ask Mr Okonkwo that.
In the morning he told his friends what happened last night,that was when the curious suspect increased.they started planning how to get a concrete evidence to use against him.but the more they tried they more their efforts where aborted.
One day Mr Okonkwo was in his chamber relaxing these men came to him and ask him to give them a little vacation that they want to go home and see their family which he honoured their request, thinking that they are really going home but these men was only looking for the opportunity to expose him.
A day came,Mr Okonkwo was going to the river, without knowing that these men was following him,when he got to the river he dive inside the river and grow tail,he turn to half human,half fish.that was when they knew that Mr Okonkwo was not human that he is not even from our world.
They shouted and started running back to the village,their plans was to go to the king’s palace and tell him what they saw.but at the long run they had a change of mind, that the king and villagers won’t believe them causes Mr Okonkwo was loved by all.
They made a new plan,”how to kill him, since he is not from their land let them kill him,and take all his property’s”they went home ,but to their greatest surprise they saw Mr Okonkwo lying down in his chamber.
