When Sophie got to her driver’s house, She couldn’t sleep after taking her bath in the bathroom. The house was a self contained. She just sat on the bed when Greg called her that dinner was ready.

It was already 11:30PM, she checked the time. Its already late, I don’t eat this late. She told Greg. Are you not hungry Madam? You have had a stressful day. You have to eat something. Greg told her. Its already late, wait do you always eat this late at night? She asked him. Depends. He replied.

I just want to be alone. she said. As Greg made his way to go to the parlor. Greg. Sophie called. He turned back. Thank you for letting me stay in your house for tonight. I promise to pay you. She said. But Greg smiled.

What’s funny? she asked Greg. Madam I’m sorry, but I’m not doing this for the money. Not everything is about money. Greg said and went back to the parlor. Sophie stayed up all night, she couldn’t sleep. She prayed for morning but morning took for ever.

The next morning, when she woke up, she was really hungry, she didn’t have anything to eat the previous night. As she was yawning when she woke up, Greg knocked on the door. Come in. she said. He brought breakfast for her. Tea and Full loaf of Bread.

Thank you. She told him immediately he dropped the tea on the table. You didn’t eat last night and I know you must be hungry. Greg said. Greg went back to the living room and had his own tea. Just as he was having his Tea. Sophie came to the living room. I would like us to go early to the office to know what’s really happening. Sophie told him.

OK, madam, after you are done bathing I will quickly have my own bath. Greg told her. What do you mean after I’m done bathing? I’m not a baby, just use the other bathroom so we can finish the same time. She said. There is no other bathroom. Greg said.

You mean you have a single bathroom? where did you bath last night? Sophie asked in shock. He nodded to yes, I bath in my neighbors bathroom. he replied. How are we going to do it now? she asked confused. After you are done bathing. I bath. he replied. After some minutes. OK, she said. I’m really sorry, I have never shared a bathroom with someone else before. she told him. I understand. he replied.

Minutes after she was done taking her bath, and she dressed up, came to the parlor and Greg went and took his own bath. Minutes later he was done and they prepared to go to work. As they went to the car to go to her office, her phone rang.

Hello baby girl, sorry I missed your call yesterday. You know the vibes. There was this fine man I met after you left the party, I couldn’t let go, I had to follow him to his house. You know na. Joy said over the phone. I was locked out of my house. Sophie said. There was silence on the phone. What do you mean lock? Joy asked. Like locked. I was calling you girls so that I could sleep over at your house. She said. So sorry Joy replied.

I’m going to go sort it out now. Sophie said. But its Saturday. Joy said over the phone. I know. she replied and hang up the call. When she got to the office, the chain was still there. Madam I think we should call a welder to come and break this chain. Greg said immediately they reached the office gate. Why haven’t I thought of this since. Sophie said. Immediately they drove and called a welder.

Minutes later the welder came to the firm and used his sew and break down the chain. Greg drove her into the office and she waited patiently for the people to come and lock her office again. For more than an hour she stayed in the office. Madam its Saturday. I’m not sure they would come. Greg said as they waited. But she didn’t reply him.

It was Saturday morning, For another 3 hours, nobody came to disturb the firm. After 4hours of no disturbance she decided to take the welder to go to her house and also break the chain there.

Greg drove both of them to the house. When they got to the house. The welder broke the chain. She paid the welder and he left. She went into the house to have a proper day rest. 1 hour later while she was still resting on her bedroom. She started hearing noise in her compound.

She looked through the window upstairs and saw her driver Greg exchanging words with someone men. She gently came down in her pyjamas covered with bed rope. It was just her and the driver in the house.

Are you the owner of this house? one of the men asked Sophie immediately she came out. Yes she replied. This property now belongs to our organization and you are expected to vacate the premises immediately. He said. And who are you? we work for A-Tech, and your late father Chief Otunba is owing our company the sum of 500billion Naira. The man said.

Wait 500billion what? For what? who is A-Tech? Sophie asked confused. Madam you will have to vacate this premises until you are able to pay up. the man said. You are just telling me this now, can you at least give me time to sort somethings out? Sophie said.

Your father must have told you in his will, enough Time have already been given. officer Lock this property the man told the police. Wait I will have to call my lawyer. She said. There is no time for that, Tell you lawyer to meet us in our office on Monday, that is the best generosity I can give to you. He said and gave her their card. Officer lock up this property. the man said.

Can i at least take my clothes. Sophie said. she was very confuse, what is happening? Why was her world falling apart, everything was happening so fast.

At first the man refused that she wasn’t allowed inside the house, but after Much pleads from Greg. he allowed her to go Carry her clothes. After she was done parking the few clothes that she could carry, She brought her bag outside. Come and open the booth. She told Greg.

You will leave the car too. The man who seized her property said. Even my car? she asked surprised. He nodded to yes. Greg took her outside the house and stopped a keke napep (tricycle).

What is happening to me? Sophie asked Greg crying, we will sort things out. Greg told her. Greg took her back to his house. She was crying while in the tricycle. Tell me I’m dreaming, she told Greg. You have to calm down madam. Greg told her

On Monday we will get to the root of the problem. Greg told her as she was still crying. They should just take my life. Sophie said and let out a loud cry..
