Sophie thought of what to do because it was already late, she decided to call her friends so that she would stay with them for the night and sort out things later the next day.

She tried their number, Joy and Mabel, but they weren’t picking up. She got really frustrated that she didn’t know what to do. This girls they would never pick their calls. She screamed at her phone. Pick your calls.

As she kept trying but they didn’t pickup, she decided to drive to their house. Joy and Mabel lived together. For the first time in years Sophie opened the back door by herself. Greg was shocked and at that moment, he knew he was loosing his job.

Greg stayed outside watching her madam from the glass in shock, even thought it was a tinted glass. She whined down the glass, are you going to keep staring at the glass like a fool or enter this car and drive. Sophie said.

Sorry, madam. Greg said. Sorry madam, that’s all you know. Idiøt. she said. Greg entered the car. Where are we going to madam? Greg asked politely. We are going to my head. My head. Sophie said angrily.

Greg knew she was frustrated, So he had to follow her gently. Madam if you don’t tell me where we are going to, how am I supposed to know. Greg said. Drive to my Friends house. she said.

She searched for the carpet where they normally drop their key, but it wasn’t there. She stayed at the house for some minutes, she was confused. She put her hands on her head. What was she going to do? she thought to herself.

Greg please take me to the office. She told the driver. OK madam Greg said. As Greg went to open the car door for her. She opened it by herself again. For the second time. Greg took a deep breath as his madam opened the door for the second time by herself.

He quickly went into the car and drove her to her office. Many thoughts were running through Sophie’s mind, Why this night of all nights? While today? She thought to herself.

When they got to the office, She noticed that the office was locked with the Same big chain used in locking the house. What is happening? she thought to herself. Where is the security? Sophie asked Greg. Madam you f!red him this morning for keeping an important client waiting. Greg replied.

Ooh I did. Then who was the last to lock the gate? she asked. Tomorrow we will know. Greg replied. Who is locking all my properties. Sophie shouted frustrated. Who did I offend? she asked. She went towards the gate to see if she could break the chain. Madam this is a big chain, you can’t break it with that small stone. Greg said as he saw her madam hitting the gate with a tiny stone she found on the ground.

Take me to the hotel. Sophie said. Greg drove her to the hotel. When they got to the hotel, the receptionist informed them that the hotel was fully booked, as some couples were having their wedding the next day and guest from all over the world came to celebrate with them.

Even if its a single room to sleep for tonight, I will double the payment. Sophie begged her. I’m sorry madam there nothing I can do; and the neighboring hotels are also booked. This is a big wedding. the receptionist said.

Sophie looked at the receptionist, looked at the hotel. She took a deep breath and went back to the car. Madam you can stay at my place for tonight. Greg said. Sophie looked at him. My place is manageable; Sleep and rest for tonight, tomorrow we would sort everything out. Greg told her.

She shook her head sideways. Later that night, Greg drove her to his apartment. It was a one bedroom apartment. You will sleep in the bedroom, while I sleep in the living room. Greg said immediately they entered his house.

Sophie prayed that this was a bad dream and that she eventually wakes up from it.
