Madam I’m almost done. Greg said. Greg was the driver to Sophie. Sophie was the daughter of one of the wealthiest man in the city.
What have you been doing since? Sophie asked her driver angrily. I’m sorry madam. I’m almost done. He said again. Almost done will not pay your bills.
I told you to wash my car, that I had an important appointment today and you have been busy doing other things as the boss of this house abi? Sophie asked him again. Madam I have been washing the car, I haven’t been doing other things. Greg replied.
Sophie gave Greg a dirty slap immediately he responded. Are you saying that I’m lying? For 30mins plus, you have been washing one car. One car. You are so unbelievable. She said. Greg held his cheek where he got the slap.
Sophie was the daughter of late Chief Otunba. Chief Otunba was one of the wealthiest politician of the west. She lacked nothing, Her Father left her with 70% of his wealth and her step mother, Mrs Veronica 30% was given to her.
Veronica; Sophie’s step mom had no child and she started dating Mr otunba, Sophie’s dad when he was very old and eventually married him. Sophie didn’t take it likely with her. She called her a gold digger for coming into her Father’s life at that point in time.
Mr otunba died one year later after he wedded Mrs Veronica and Sophie has never for ones visited her since the dismissed and burial of her late father. She was the only child of the chief. And you should know the amount of money she has. She carries herself with so much respect, pride and doesn’t take sh!t from her workers and Greg her driver was not an exemption. Because of the way she Carries herself and treated her staffs, they back named her Miss Arrogant.
She was really arrogant and proud of her self that if you don’t have an extra life in you, you won’t dare stop her on the road. She was beautiful, elegant, dark skinned she was a pure definition of black is beautiful and she fires any staff that dares challenged her.
At age 26 she is already the CEO of all her father’s company. Will you stop looking at me and get this car cleaned up. She told Greg.
Greg quickly finished cleaning the car and she waited for some minutes before he finally opened the car for her to enter the back sit.
She was wearing a black suit. Sophie was the kind of Boss that doesn’t need the opinion of her workers to give her final say.
Today, been Friday just like every other day, Her driver drove her to work, She kept informing him how she would fire him if he ever kept her waiting again, Even though the driver has apologized for the 1000th time. I’m sorry madam Greg would always say.
Greg drove her to work successfully, everything went as planned for the day, as she had time table for all the days. When she got to the office as usual, her staff began to behave busy, because you can not be in her firm and lazy.
There was no time to play around in her office, its either you work or you get fired. There was not time to laugh or chit chat, she was that strict. Her staff feared her.
They only time she had to laugh was when she was with her friends, Joy and Mabel. And each time she was with them. She spoilt them silly with gifts.
After the work for the day, Sophie was tired but then her friends called her that they needed to hang out since it was Friday night.
She went to the club where they normally meet and as usual they had fun, partied and talked about the day. Sophie didn’t stay Long because she was exhausted, in an hour and some minutes she had to call it a day with her friends and Greg drove her home, after she had paid the bills for the drinks they had in the club.
When she got home it was already late 8:05pm, her gate was locked and her gateman wasn’t in to open the gate. Greg kept on horning but no one opened the gate. At that point Greg looked closely from the glass and realized that the gate was locked with a big chain.
Just then he came down from the car to go look properly. Madam its like we have been Locked out. He said to sophie immediately he realized that the gate was locked with another padlock. What do you mean Locked out? Sophie asked. She came down from the car immediately. Where is the gateman? She asked. Madam I have been with you all day. Greg replied. Sophie looks at him with a déadly eye and decided to reach out for her phone.
Just then her phone rang. It was her Nanny calling. Hello why is the gate locked and where is everybody. Sophie asked Jennifer her nanny angrily.
Madam, I have been trying to reach you since 6:00pm, but you weren’t answering my call. Some men came and chased us out of the house, that the house is no longer yours. The Nanny said. What do you mean no longer mine? Who are those men? where are you now? Sophie asked her
Madam I’m in my house, and I have forgotten the people they said they were. the nanny said. What kind of an illiterate are you Jennifer. Sophie thundered at her on the phone.
What I’m I going to do now? She asked no one in particular then turned and looked at Greg who was just staring at her all this while why she was on phone
