Married To A Snake Goddess
Episode 3
Mike stood frozen, his breath shallow as he stared at the massive python. Its glowing red eyes bored into his, and for a moment, he could do nothing but watch in shock. His heart hammered in his chest, his mind racing. This was no ordinary snake, and he knew it.
Suddenly, the python moved. With a swift, fluid motion, it slithered away from him, its scales scraping lightly against the floor. Mike’s legs finally responded, and he took a shaky step forward.
“Wait!” he shouted, though he wasn’t sure what he was pleading to — the snake, or Linda?
The python didn’t stop. It moved quickly, disappearing under the living room chair. Mike, driven by a mix of fear and curiosity, ran after it. He knelt beside the chair, his eyes wide as he peered into the darkness beneath it. He expected to see the snake coiled there, waiting, but there was nothing. Not a trace.
He blinked, leaning closer, his hands shaking. “What… where did it go?” he muttered to himself, frantically moving the chair aside. The snake had vanished, as if it had never been there.
Mike’s mind raced. Was he hallucinating? Was it a dream? No, it couldn’t be — the fear had been too real, too vivid. His thoughts were interrupted by a soft sound behind him, the creak of the bedroom door.
Before he could react, a pair of arms wrapped around his waist from behind. He jumped, his body stiffening as he whipped around to see Linda, her face serene, her expression calm.
“Mike,” she said softly, her voice smooth, almost soothing. “Why are you up so late?”
Mike’s heart pounded in his ears. He stared at her, his mind struggling to make sense of what had just happened. “Where were you?” he asked, his voice thick with confusion and fear.
Linda’s eyes flickered with something unreadable before she smiled. “I was in the toilet, love. I must have been there longer than I thought. You don’t need to worry.” She touched his cheek lightly, her gaze soft but distant.
Mike shook his head, backing away slightly. “But I… I saw…” He trailed off, unable to finish his sentence. How could he tell her he had just seen a giant snake? How could he explain that the snake had vanished under the chair, only for her to appear out of nowhere?
Linda tilted her head slightly, her smile never faltering. “Saw what, Mike? What’s bothering you?” She stepped closer, her voice gentle. “Come on, let’s go back to bed. You need rest.”
Mike wanted to say something, to confront her, to demand answers, but something in her eyes — something dark and unexplainable — made him hesitate. His heart raced with a mixture of fear and confusion. He wanted to believe her, but his instincts screamed that something wasn’t right.
But instead of questioning further, he nodded slowly, swallowing the lump in his throat. “Maybe… maybe I’m just tired,” he muttered, trying to convince himself as much as her. “Yeah… let’s go back to bed.”
Linda smiled warmly, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. She took his hand and gently led him back to the bedroom. Mike followed, his mind still reeling from what he had just witnessed. As they lay down, Linda curled up next to him, her presence unnervingly close. Mike tried to relax, telling himself it had been a trick of the mind, a product of stress, maybe even a nightmare.
But no matter how much he tried to push the thought away, the image of the glowing red eyes burned in his mind.
Linda, seemingly at ease, shifted beside him and whispered softly, “Everything is fine, Mike. Just close your eyes and sleep.”
Mike didn’t respond. He stared at the ceiling, his heart still racing, but exhaustion was beginning to take over. Eventually, despite the chaos in his mind, he drifted into an uneasy sleep.
A few hours later, in the early hours of the morning, Linda stirred again. She rose quietly from the bed and turned to look at Mike. Her eyes, now completely glowing red, she had transformed back to the gaint python. She leaned in close, her breath brushing against his ear.
Linda smiled faintly, brushing a hand through his hair. In a voice barely louder than a whisper, she murmured, “I’m taking you somewhere tomorrow, Mike. Somewhere special, somewhere…” She didn’t complete it as she let out a evil smile.
