FATED Final Part 2 – Gracely
David started laughing. He asked her to prove that she had suffered.
Her skin looked healthy and she didn’t look like a person that had been locked up for months or someone that had been eating a meal once a day
The whole family was surprised at David’s attitude. His parents told him to shut up and act like a child with manners.
My Mother looked at me and said ”David’s wife is here, pack your things, let’s go home”
Her explanation sounded like a made-up story but everyone seems to believe her.
David brought out an envelope that contained pictures, He threw the pictures at her and told her to start explaining
Everyone was shocked, the pictures showed Vivian in bed with another man.
Vivian’s face went pale, she started stuttering.
She didn’t expect it
David next word came as a surprise to me
“Vivian never loved me”
He went to say the picture was taken a week before their wedding.
He had caught Vivian in bed with another man.
David told the family how bad he felt when he saw this.
Their wedding was around the corner he had decided to get his revenge on that day.
He was going to expose her evil deed in front of the guests and media and then call off the wedding
Unfortunately Vivian ran away on their wedding day he couldn’t get his revenge on her so he decided to use me.
I was his revenge tool.

Tears rolled down my eyes
I felt stupid
I felt used
At that moment I felt the strong urge to vomit, I ran immediately to the nearby toilet.
I finished in the toilet and met David waiting for me at the door.
He led me back into the sitting room.
On getting there I met my mother on her feet, she looked very anxious and eyed me suspiciously
David’s mother stood up and held my hands calmly, she asked me how I was feeling.
I told her I had been feeling sick for a while, I explained to her my symptoms.
She looked into my eyes and gave a shocking news.
She said…“Dear, you are pregnant”
I felt my heartbeat race, my head went blank.
David’s mum, Mrs Williams was a certified nurse I had no reason not to believe her.
She went on to ask me if I had gotten intimate with anyone recently.
I could only stare at David.
Vivian started shouting at the top of her voice, she was cursing at me.
Calling me all sort of names, she said I stole her husband and that I was a cheap lowlife that goes about seducing men.
My father stood up and ordered her to shut up.
He sounded very angry, he pointed his hands at David and told him he had no right to play with a woman’s life. And he wasn’t going to allow him play with his daughter’s emotions.
David was silent, he face was blank.
I didn’t know if he was surprised that I was pregnant or if he was happy that he has gotten his revenge.
My father told me to go into my room that everything would be solved.
Getting into my room I couldn’t hold hold back my emotions.
I burst into tears, I started regretting my decision marry him.
My life was ruined.
I cried in my room till evening until I heard a knock on my door. Everyone had left.
I cleaned my tears, opened the door and found David standing there.
I looked at him with anger in my eyes,
I really wanted to hate him but I couldn’t, I still felt something for him
David walked into my room and said he wanted to talk.
He started by apologizing for what had happened.
He said he was sorry and that he shouldn’t have involved me in his issue with Vivian.
That he was angry at that time and the only thing he could think of was revenge. He didn’t realize that he was also destroying someone else with his revenge plan
He had thought that as Vivian’s sister we were just the same, but after being together with me for a long time and getting to know me he realized that we had different personalities.
He went on to say he was going to give up his revenge plan if Vivian hadn’t showed up.
He had decided to build a family with me and was going to keep his reasons for marrying me a secret but he had to tell the truth because of Vivian’s lies.
David went on his knees and professed his love to me.
He begged me to forgive his mistakes and give him a chance in my life.
He pleaded with me to let him be my lover, husband and father to our unborn child.
The only thing he wanted was a family to love and call his own.
Everything that happened came as a shock to me.
The picture, revenge plan, my pregnancy and even David’s love for me it was too much for me handle.
I couldn’t say anything I just continue to cry, I didn’t know how to feel.
Was I supposed to be sad or should I be happy?
My thoughts were all messed up.
I told David I would think about it and that I wanted to be alone.

Two days after the incident I still hadn’t given David an answer.
He had been treating me well these days.
He took me to the hospital, bought me a lot of baby items. cooked for me
He had been very very nice to me.
But I was still confused.
Should I just forget everything that happened?

What if he actually loves me?
I forgave David and decided to give him a chance.
We started our relationship afresh.
Vivian confessed to have ran away to Dubai with a man
The man came back with her after a year and took her to his home in porthacourt.
Where she realized that the man already had two wives.
She tried to leave but was locked up in his house
She was forced to stay. The day she eventually ran away was on the party day when she came to see David.
Vivian wanted money but she wasn’t ready to be a third wife.
The man eventually came looking for her and my mother shamelessly collected the bride price from him.
Vivian got married against her will, she had no choice but to go back to him.
She regretted ever cheating on David and forfeiting her marriage.
David was not poor, she was just too greedy.
