She picked up the phone and dialed the number again to confirmed the reasons why he was being arrested.
She pleaded for the reasons why David was arrested but they insisted it won’t be disclosed until she show up at the police station herself.
She wished to go that moment but her condition and unavailability of a help hindered her. She wept Sadly as she kept having series of disturbing thought till she slept enventually.
The following morning, police officers arrived David’s residence. Florida was seen lying on the floor. She was extremely weak and downcast.
“Young lady, young lady, wake up” one of the police officers tapped Florida. She woke up. groaned in pain.
“Where’s David please. I need to see him” Florida asked
“Young woman, David is in our custody, we need you to come with us too”
“Police officer, you never told me what exactly David did that made you arrested him. He’s a gentle man. A good hearted young Man. You must have mix things up” Florida said curiously
“When you get to our station, everything will be cleared to you. We need to go now” one of the police officers said
Florida was carried to the van with her wheelchair, in less than an hour, they got to the police custody.
On getting to the police custody, David was already panicking, David was shirtless and handcuffed. immediately Florida saw him, she knew something was wrong somewhere.
Florida started feeling scared, restless and uncomfortable. The sight of David and the other guy besides him makes her feel more bittered and confused.
“David, don’t let it be what I’m thinking” Florida said but there was totally silence and zero response.
“Umm sister Florida, you’re welcome again” The DPO broke the silence
“I’m sorry for whatever that you have been passing through. I pray God will restore you all what you’ve lost in abundant”
“Amen” Florida managed to say
“For your information, this crìmìnal you’re seeing here is the culprit of your plight, he’s the one that planned the injecting of your cream”
“Whattttttt” Florida screamed shockingly.
“take heart sister, take heart” DPO said with a gesture to calm her. Florida was shocked, her mouth was widely agåpë.
“Infact, this is the Man he sent to inject your cream, according to our investigation, we caught him red handed” the DPO continued
“but David. Why, what have I done to deserve this? Whatttttt” Florida cried out
“Yes Florida, you caused this, you caused it” David yelled back
“How did I caused it, no tell me, what did I caused that you made you do this to me” Florida yelled
“Yes, you caused it. Have you forgotten?, How could you have the gut to slap me and disgråced me publicly just because I did the normal thing by approaching you. Let’s accept the fact that i might not in your level or rich as you but I’m not your mate. You don’t dare slap me. I know it was because of what you think you possess, then I decided to destroy it for you” David said
“Keep quiet, is that why you have the audacity to do this to him. You want to kìll her. Don’t you see you’re very callous Hūman being. I will make sure you rōt in jail” DPO cūt in angrily
Florida busted into tears, she cried bitterly till David was dragged to the cell again.
The accused cream seller was later released. She was officially apologized and was compensated with a huge amount of money.
David was later charged to court and was sentenced to lìfe imprisonment.
