Elara’s POV
I went for lunch in the cafeteria,i sat and started eating my pancake,students were giving me glares as they passed my table and i was glad no one asked to sit with me…Suddenly the cafeteria went silent,i was about looking up from my pancake when i saw a long fixed purple nail tapping my table,i traced the finger to the face and..
Damn!
It was nicky,she was standing by my table with her two puppies…
Now all eyes were on us…
“The wretchedness has gotten into you to the extent that you cant afford to buy the least amount of the foods in this cafeteria “fries,fideos(mexican noodles)
“Worst still,your ungarnished pancake smells like cow’s poo”…Nicky said so loudly that the whole students in the cafeteria bursted out laughing…
I was so shocked nicky could say that to me and was very hurt the students bursted into laughters especially the females who were tapping their tables while laughing….
“Hey you,bring me four plates of fries and same for fideos”Nicky said ordering an old woman,working in the cafeteria….The woman hurried and quickly handed her what she asked for…She opened the plate of the first fries and pour it on my table,the second,third and fourth.
She poured everthing on my table including the fideos and began mashing them together with her fists,she giggled along with her friends…And also with the people in the cafeteria..
“Hey i need to rinse my hands,get me a bowl of water” Nicky said to the same hold woman who scurried along to get the water…
She washed her hands and cleaned it with a napkin…
“What you are seeing on your table is much more better than your disgusting pancake” she said,held her nose then walked away with her puppies trailing behind her.
I don’t know what made me rooted to the spot,i felt so hurt i nearly cried,i was just so shocked she can do that…I looked at my table and it was all messed up,i picked my plate,dropped it in my lunchbox and walked out of the cafeteria to the class with my head down…
Braylen’s POV
What!!..it was then i realised what Nicky came to do at the cafeteria,she came just to embarass the poor girl…
I saw everything that happened and i must say Nicky has an extra hate for Elara…
I walked back to the class without even bothering to order my food,i sat down and was just staring into space when i saw Elara came in,the look on her face is totally something else,she’s looking so sad that i yearn to comfort her,she sat down and rested her head on her locker….
Her hair is very black and long,it looks so soft,i had to resist the urge to touch it,my eyes trailed from her hair down to her leg…Wow everything about her is just so perfect,then i saw drops of water falling in between her shoes…
Is she crying?
No she isn’t,she’s too beautiful to cry….Then suddenly she raised up her head and saw me staring at her,her face looks flushed and her eyes a little red.
“Yes she was crying”
She stopped staring at me and faced the front of the class,immediately a teacher entered…..
We had two more lessons before school was over,i carried my bag and rushed downstairs with my stomach rumbling with hunger,i met my driver waiting for me,i greeted him and entered the car,he drove off and i pray to get home before fainting…..
Elara’s POV
The school was over,i locked my locker and went out of the class,i saw braylen descending the stairs hurriedly.
Why?
I shrugged and walked down the stairs,most of the students are about to go home in their cars,i walked outside the gate and was trekking to where i would board a cab,i thought back to when i caught braylen staring at me,he was looking so worried and i knew he caught me crying…I felt so embarassed..
Just then a car pulled up beside,the wind screen is tinted,it was wind down and i saw Kristin wave at me in the back seat..
“Elara come in,my driver will drop you” she said.
I continued trekking and saw the car zoom pass me,and i also board a cab to take me home…
