“I already have a husband for you, that’s why.” then he walked away.

I was under pressure as I couldn’t even tell if my dad was in his right senses. I mean how could he expect me to wait for someone I don’t know for marriage.

I didn’t know what to do, I only just gave up and concluded that I was secretly going to marry Richard if my dad doesn’t approve of the marriage.

So finally the Saturday was here. I woke early and prepared some delicacies, whilst waiting for my husband to be, to come with his kins men.

When Richard came with his kins men, I was at the parlour, so I went to call my dad to attend to them. Upon seeing them my dad chased them out, angrily Richard’s kins men left immediately.

As Richard walked out I followed him. I kept pleading with him not to break up with me, And he didn’t. Richard only told me that he thinks my dad has eyes on me and I should be careful while we find other ways out.

Whilst I returned to the house I overheard my father on a call “I don’t know why she refused to see that I love her and must have her as my wife. Over my dead body will I allow another man to marry my daughter except me”.

I was shocked as I overheard and recorded him on the call. While recording, my dad caught me and furiously he pounced on me and began to rip my clothes apart .

I screamed as Loud as I could and suddenly the door sprang opened, revealing Richard rushing into my rescue.

On the process of trying to push my dad away from me Richard got stabbed by my dad. That was when I picked up the parlour vase and broke it on his head.

We called the police and they came to our rescue. Not quite long after the arrival of the police my dad woke up.

Seeking for a means to escape my dad reached out to one of the police gun but unlucky for him another police man noticed his move and shot him dead.

Richard was treated and he later sponsored my dad’s burial and we proceed to our wedding two weeks after my dad’s burial.
