Paulina’s eyes glittered and her pupils dilated. Before Daniel could say a word, she threw herself on him and began to kiss him passionately.
Daniel couldn’t believe his eyes. The love potion actually worked.
Paulina’s affection for him suddenly intensified, surpassing friendship and becoming an all consuming love.
“Playboys don’t give up indeed” he soliloquize with his mild smiles, not knowing what fate had in store for him.
He caressed her stripped braided hair, while embracing, kissing and cuddling each other like newlyweds.
Life went well for daniel, as the potion he had purchased while paying her a visit granted his coition request for intimacy.

He barely pays Paulina a visit after their previous night of dining.
He shields different excuses, concerning school, how the lecturers had been unfriendly towards him these days.
Making it impossible to visit her like before.
Daniel noticed Paulina’s pale and cold countenance, he, felt a twinge of guilt in his lies.
“What’s the matter? I already said am sorry it won’t happen again?”. daniel resumes his ungenuine promises.
“Avoiding his gaze. “It’s not about you anymore,” she retorted. “It’s about me.
“I think I’m madly in love with you. I couldn’t sleep at night, just thinking about you, I see you in my dreams.
Daniel beamed a mischievous smile at Paulina, with an assurance that everything is fine.
“Not only that, since the day we had our afternoon delight, I haven’t seen my period. I think…I’m pregnant, so I went for a test, and it was positive”.
Daniel’s heart plummeted, it began to beat faster than the average human.
“Nonsense, what do you mean by you’re pregnant? …. am not ready to be a father yet, You have to abort the pregnancy.
“My dad’s going to kill me if he finds out”.
Daniel urged Paulina to consider abortion, promising her for a better life in Lagos once he graduates.
Paulina nods her head in anticipation to daniel’s suggestions, due to the potions effect on her, causing Paulina to be less objective to his decisions, both positive and negative.
Daniel promised her a better life in Lagos, feeding her with lies, stating how their marriage would be a Grand one after he’s done studying.
Taking daniels bluffs into consideration, she took some abortion pills while heading to the river to fetch some water.
Little did she know, she had already signed a death contract.
After taking the pills she journeyed to the river spot, huddling her bucket among the villagers for later use.
Paulina began to walk unsteady due to a sharp pain channeled from her tummy.
Her abdomen begins to ache so terribly, causing her to groan in pain, as she held her stomach, collapsing to the ground with a heavy thud.
The villagers opened their mouth in sympathy for the dying girl, as few of the witnesses rushed to her aid.
“What happened to her?” each villagers queried promptly, while shooking their head.
