Keeping the potion inside the nylon with adequate care, in between the wine he had bought on his way to Paulina’s abode earlier.
As he was about to take his leave, the old woman warned him to only put a single droplet of the potion, otherwise there would be a repercussion.
“Otherwise!”., she said, he might regret it ….
On getting to Paulina’s house, Daniel already separate the potion bottle from the wine, trying not to make Paulina suspicious of the small bottle with its red content.
“You and your gifts, what do you bring for me this time?”. Paulina said, while welcoming his arrival.
“I brought some wine for us, let’s make a toast”. Daniel retorted beaming a wide smile at Paulina.
“This one you’re just shining teeth, I hope all is well?” she said while laughing hysterically.
“Because you’re more happy than usual”.
“Anyways, let me go get the left over abacha (African salad) I made this morning, so we won’t have to drink your wine alone “.
She stood to her feet, while getting a large table from her hut ready for the unannounced celebration by daniel.
She brought out two glass cups for their toast, heading back to her hut to get the plate ready for her abacha (African salad)
Daniel took the opportunity to pour the love potion into one of the glass cup
Trying to satisfy his curiosity, making Sure the potion would be in it full maximal effect, he poured the entire bottle into her own glass cup, followed by the wine.
Daniel scanned the entire environment, hoping no one was watching, most especially Paulina while coming out of her hut.
Paulina was back in a jiffy, with a smirk on her face.
“You can’t even wait for me”. Paulina rushed to the table, grabbing the glass cup Daniel intentionally kept for her arrival.
Paulina drank the wine, down to the dregs.
During those six seconds of gulping the wine.
Paulina’s environment begins to spin before her eyes, her pupils dilated, she paused for some time while glaring at daniel strangely.
“Are you alright?”. Daniel queried, shooking his head, while observing her more keenly.
“It seems the potion is working on her, but why is she staring at me like that?”. Daniel though to himself.
Paulina remains mute, still glaring at Daniel in such a manner that requires great concern.
