“Arike arike” Mr Adewale called but arike kept going
A whole lot of people exclaimed almost at once leaving their mouth agåpë in surprise.
Mr Adewale was terribly ashamed. he felt his feet stamped on the ground. he looked around, he noticed people were watching him. He left the scene shamefully
Moments later, the incident had gone viral, every single person heard about it including the Royal majesty of the village.
Adewale’s wife was no where to be found.
The following day, the announcement was made by the town crier that there would be an urgent meeting that evening.
The whole villagers were in attendance. The King came up with the issue and Mr Adewale was asked to narrate his side of the story
Adewale narrated everything from how he saw the antelope on his farmland, how he followed her up to the market and till the moment his wife left him angrily from the market square
“Hmmmmmmmm” the villagers heaved a deep breath. They started mourmoring that adewale’s wife must be an anìmãl for behaving that way
“Enough” one of the chiefs ordered and they kept mute immediately
The King ordered the village Hunters and some of the well known powerful spiritualist to go to the bush to hunt the antēlōpes they might possibly come across.
Everyone bought the idea the King made as they all nodded affirmatively to the announcement.
The next morning, the village Hunters and the spiritualist were set for the assignment. They were loaded with weapons and charms. Mr Adewale decided to go with them
They got to the bush and they started their searching with intense incantation.
Suddenly, about twenty antēlōpes appeared to them, the Hunters shot them but the bullets weren’t effective on them.
The antēlōpes transformed into Hūman being. Mr Adewale was shocked to see his wife among them. They started physical and spiritual combat.
The antēlōpes’s power surpassed the Hunters as the hunters were getting kîllêd one after the other.
The moment Mr Adewale set his eyes on the ashes on the ground, he quickly had a flashback where his wife was telling him how she detest ashes so much.
Mr Adewale quickly packed out of the ashes and poured it on them. To their greatest surprise, they started falling groaning in pain.
They caught them alive and brought them to the village King palace.
The whole villagers gathered up and started throwing shade at them
The King asked them who they are, how they became antēlōpes and their missions.
Adewale’s wife confessed how they have been planning to destroy the whole village out of envy so they could rule over them
Moment later, the king ordered them kîllêd them out of anger.
