Amina was led in the cold hand of De@th a day before she was supposed to begin her scholarship program.

That day just like every other student, amina prepared her self for the scholarship exams which her elder brother got for her.
With the scholarship she would be able to further her education to PHD level.
It was a trying moment for amina’s family.
Amina just had her mother and brother, their father d!ed a long time ago.
She was just a 15yrs old girl.
Her mother was an ex teacher.
So they gave all the could to win the school..
They studied day and night, amina family knew what this scholarship mearnt to them, so they didn’t even give it a chance to sleep.
Been a student of Dominion high school is one thing, then having the school to sponsor the new intake on scholarship is another thing.
That day amina after the exams.
She came back home like every other normal kid.
They result was suppose to come out in a week.
They family waited and hoped on God.
That night, the eve of their result announcement amina had a purge and d!ed immediately.
The next day Amina was announced the winner of the Dominion high school scholarship exams.
Amina’s family were moaning their loss, but they had to take amina’s credentials that DA go checking and record.
Amina’s brother went to the school to collect their scholarship money since amina was no more.
I’m here to collect the scholarship money. Tunde said.
Tunde was amina elder brother and he works as a cleaner in the school.
Are you amina? the principal asked.
No but I’m her brother, I brought all her credentials. We want to use the money for her burial and settle all other house debt. tunde said.
Burial? is amina déad? the principal asked in shocked.
Yes, ma she had a purge last night and d!ed. tunde said.

Tunde took a bow and left the principals office.
On getting outside he saw the family of bimbo going inside the principal office.
Bimbo was the daughter of Williams Adebayo and Williams was a wealthy man in the school.
Bimbo actually came with her mother, Mrs Williams.
Bimbo was same age as amina.
Immediately the Mrs williams got inside.
She greeted the principal. So my daughter will now take her place? the she said.
Shhhhh!! the principal said.

He left already. She said.
Just then tunde hits his leg on something why eavesdropping.
Tunde? the principal called.
But he was fast to run away.
She came outside her office and saw her secretary sitting outside.
Where have you been? she asked.

Yes, he left some minutes ago. the secretary said.
The principal went back inside her office.
Tunde went to the toilet to begin cleaning.
He doesn’t actually know what he as do in at that moment, he was suppose to come to the school, collect the money and go back home to his mom to have a proper burial arrangement.
His mind wasn’t at rest, if the principal doesn’t know that his sister was De@d, how come she called mrs Williams immediately? something is wrong somewhere.
Tunde starts feeling that his sister’s déad wasn’t ordinary.
he was still cleaning when two people walked into the toilet.
You will have to sack that boy. a voice said from the other side of the toilet.
You mean tunde? the principal voice said.
Yes. he will soon become a threat, that’s not If he is not one yet. the voice said…
Tunde Is harmless. but I would sack him, but not today you know his sister just died, so he needs time to process the whole thing. The principal said.
Time waits for no one man. Do It as quick as possible. the voice said.
Tunde was still in one of the toilet room when the principal and Mrs Williams left.
He stood up stretch his clothes and left. He was still in the school main door when he met Mrs Williams and the principal also going out.
He wanted to just quickly pass.
Hey!! tunde are you still around? the principal asked.
Yes. I I I.. tunde stammered.
Have you been crying? the principal asked.
No ma. tunde said.
Mrs williams was just busy starring at them.
Is it about your sister burial? Don’t worry I don’t have much.. I will just give you N150k to use. the principal said.

Mrs Williams put on that pity face.

I don’t know you or your sister, but meet the principal tomorrow and collect 350k to make the money N500k. Mrs Williams said

Tunde told them good bye and left for home.
The principal and Mrs Williams discussed for a while before Mrs Williams entered her car and left.
Tunde went home and saw his mother crying and some of her friends still consoling her.
He could only imagine what the mother is going through at the moment, loosing Amina was like we loosing hope.
That feeling when my family has placed all her hope on one person, but we eventually lost the person.
Tunde could remember when his dad died, It took his mom years to heal, in fact she hasn’t even finished healing and this happened.
He was still in his thought when his aunt touched him.
Aunty bisola was the sweetest aunt that any one could ever ask of.
She was Tunde father’s sister, and she has really been supportive even before tunde’s father passed out.
Tunde couldn’t ask for a more better aunt…
And she was still single. Waiting for the Mr Right.
She took one to our kitchen.
What did they say? aunt bisola asked.
Aunty, they said things don’t work that way, that if the person that won the scholarship d!es, the person that came second would take the scholarship. tunde said
So everything we did to make sure Amina got this scholarship is a waste? she asked.

But the principal and Mrs Williams agreed to help after much pleading from their personal pocket. tunde said.

Just then Femi came inside.

The next morning people were still in their house.

Going to the school he met Becky.
Becky was his crush, he haven’t told her he liked her yet.
You know as a struggling young man who Is just a cleaner. He didn’t have the mind for Now to do that.

I heard about what happened to amina. Becky said.

Becky came closer and hugged him.
He released him after a seconds hug.

Tunde waved her good bye and went to the school.
On getting to the school Main door.
He overheard someone saying “what evidence do you have that I did It”?.
He immediately went inside the office and the principal secretary dropped her phone instantly.
Good morning. He greeted the secretary.

I’m here for the principal. tunde said.
She told him to go inside the principal office.
He went inside and didn’t see the principal.
He came out immediately.
She is not here. tunde told the secretary.
Ok, let me call her or something. just wait. she said.
He went back into the office…
Immediately footsteps started coming from outside the principals office.
What do you mean that he wasn’t the one the did it? someone else? Then who? the voice asked.
That was the principals voice.
She immediately came inside her office. ..
And got shocked immediately.
Tunde, you are here? where’s my secretary? she asked.
she told me to stay and wait for you. tunde said.
Ooh she did? the principal asked.
She looked outside her office, but didn’t find her secretary.
Anyways here Is the money. she handed tunde an envelope.
He checked the envelope. It was full of cash.

He left the principals office.
On leaving the secretary office, he saw aunty bisola coming into the office.

Femi you won’t believe what I saw today. tunde said, heading to femi’s room.

He went inside femi bedroom, but didn’t see him.

He went inside their kitchen but couldn’t find him.
Femi!. tunde called. but there was no responds.
He went into the bathroom and found femi lying Dé@d in his bathroom.
Femi, he went close just to be sure.
Femi? Are you ok? tunde called.
Femi!!!!!!!! he shouted with all his voice.
What’s really happening?.
Femi’s parents were always at work, and he was at home due to the Asuu strike in federal universities.
His mother owns a super market, And his dad was a worker in one of the company in the area.
He had two sister’s.
Femi. Tunde kept calling, but there was no responds.
Immediately, he called an ambulance.
I don’t know what’s wrong with my friend, I just went into his house and found him lying down..
He also called tunde parents.
They all came to the house almost at the same time.
After checkups on him and all that.
His de@d the ambulance doctor said.
I saw that look on femi’s family.
it was really disheartening.
The ambulance took femi’s body away to the mortuary.
Minutes later the police came into the house.
Can I meet Tunde ojo. the inspector said…
I’m the one. tunde said.
Femi’s mother was crying uncontrollably.
His little sister’s were crying. They house felt cold.
I believe you were the first person that saw him dead. How did It happen? the inspector asked.
I don’t know how It happened.
I was coming to meet femi, to tell him the good news, when I got here. I already found him de@d.
I believe you must be his friend? Do you have any idea if he might be in a quarrel with someone? that would have led to the person k!lling him? the inspector asked.
I don’t think of femi been in trouble, he never mentioned any. tunde replied.

He went into femi room to look for his phone.
On getting to femi’s room, femi phone just vibrated.
The phone was covered with bedsheets a little.
Tunde went close to the phone.
On the screen of the phone was an unread message.
“what evidence do you have”?.
Tunde took it like a normal message, and went on looking for his own phone.
He went to the bathroom and found his phone.
He came out immediately and wanted leaving the room, but on a second thought he went back to femi’s phone to go through the message.
He unlocked the password, because he knows femi password.
immediately he unlocked it. He noticed that femi was on security interface, like he was trying to change his password.
He went back to the messge box and opened It.
Written on it Is.
“I know you did It, I know you k!lled Amina Ojo. call me”.
Femi sent the message
