Please Desmond, I think we need to go home together, come with me, I need to show you to my parents” I said and we started going home
On our way, people were passing by and started admiring both of us
“Wow, what an identical twins, look at them” Ōne of the passerby said to her friend
“I can see them, that’s how life can be, I don’t know if their friends could even be able to identify who is who among them,, they so much look alike” the friends replied
I and my new twin brother overheard them and we kept smiling to eachother
We got home enventually, the moment my mom saw us coming, she got extremely shock that she wanted to run back
“No mummy, it’s not what you’re thinking” I quickly said
“Jesus Christ, what is it, who are my seeing, how come” my mom screamed and my dad came out to see what was going on
“Michael, what is going on here, how come you become two, how did you do it?” my dad asked in utmost surprise
“Ahhhh, my son has turned to something else oooo, my son is something else” my mom kept wailing
“Mummy, he’s just a stranger, we met not quite long in the next street, I realized this resemblance and I decided to bring him down here. I am even surprised I met him too” I said to her
“Really, if not the way you’re talking to me now and the fact that I know how you dressed before you left thid house, I won’t know who is who” my mom said still wondering.
“Mummy,, it also baffles us too, and it’s still battling me now, my name is Desmond imoudu, I a from anambra State, I just arrived this town day before yesterday looking for better place to stay and to work, I had been wondering about since when I came to this town till I met him” Desmond said
“Yes mum, I was even thinking we might be twins or something”
“Shot your mouth up, Come of it son, am I not the one that gave birth to you? If I gave birth to twins, won’t I know?, so I never did”mummy threw up.
after few moment of controversy, Desmond was later allowed into our house. I begged and cajoled my mom and dad to allow him stay with us till whenever
My parents didn’t accepted at first but I tried to cajole them and they later accepted and I prostrated to appreciate them happily
I and Desmond now became brothers, we started moving and doing things together that really got a lot of people talking and Wondering.
“Wow, Michael so, you have a twin brother and you didn’t tell us since all these while” people would say and I will Laugh it off and tell them that my twin brother just came back from abroad
Someday, we would use our resemblance to for tricks and prank and we always got them. There are sometimes we use our resemblance to oppress and catch cruise that people would be amazed
We did all these for months until Ōne day, Desmond told us he wanted to visit one of his relatives, I suggested we should go together but he refused.
Desmond left that day and ever since then we never came back again. We was so worried and scared. I tried to contact him but all his number weren’t reachable
Week later, it was early in the morning, we heard a knock at the door, my mom went to open for whoever was there and to her greatest surprise, it was police officers,. My mom had a word with them and she was told to call me out
Immediately when I got out to meet them, they swiftly pointed their guns at me
“Hey Mr Man, if you dare move. I will get you down,, you’re ūnder arr3st, you’re not allowed to say anything hērē, for anything you say here will be used against you in the court of law, oya move” one of the police officers angrily said to me.
My parents was shocked as the police men were pushing me to their vehicle, despite my mummy’s wailing and my dad’s series of questions, they never responded.
They pushed me to the vehicle and drove off immediately
