Marriage Drama – Emeka Edozie.
I noticed that my wife was pacing and walking all over the room after reading the message I sent to her with my Airtel line.
I kept ironing my stripped shirt to leave for work..
Immediately I wore my shirt and suit to leave the house, she blocked my way;
“Mr man,where do you think you’re going?”
“Where does it look like I am going??Please leave my way because I am already late for work”, I pleaded with her.
“I am not leaving you today until you come inside and perform your duties as a man. You won’t leave this house today”, she said as she held my trouser.
“Which duties? Duties that you’ve deprived me for weeks now? Please Mary, step out of my way. I don’t want to perform any duty again.”
“Sweetheart,I am so sorry. Don’t leave me to go and meet another girl oooo.I need you now.”
“Really? I thought my name is Mr? Why did you suddenly call me “Sweetheart”?I don’t need you again now. I am late for work”, I retorted.
I removed her hand from my body because I was already late for work.
As I was about to open the door, my wife fainted.
I rushed back and lifted her from the ground even though she was chubby. I carried her into the car as I drove to the hospital.
As I got to the hospital, the doctor started running tests on her to ascertain to cause of the sudden sickness.
After running series of tests on her,he came to me.
“Sir, we’ve run some tests on her but we discovered that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with her”, the doctor replied.
“Doctor…are you sure?Then why did she faint?”
“Your wife is perfectly fine.I have checked her and nothing is wrong with her”, the doctor assured me.
I rushed into the room and met my wife smiling stylishly at me.
“So you think that I will allow you to go on a date with another woman?I just acted like i have fainted to prevent you from leaving the house to meet another lady outside”, she chuckled.
“I said it! My mind was telling me that there was nothing wrong with you . I sensed it . I knew something was fishy considering the way you fainted just like that”, I said to her.
” I am so sorry sweetheart. I had to do it to prevent you from going on a date with your secret lady”, she said as she held my hand.
“You think I don’t know what you’ve been doing behind me?I know you wanted to go on a date but I will never allow that”, she said angrily.
” I am so sorry love for making you pass through the stress. I was the one that was using another Sim card to send those messages to you. Please forgive me sweetheart”, I pleaded with her.
“Haaaa… So you made me suffer myself looking for a woman that doesn’t exist? Anyways,I have forgiven you. I want to plead for forgiveness too. Forgive me for everything that I have done to you recently.”
“I have forgiven you too”,I replied
We hugged and kis.sed each other. After some minutes, I told her that I wanted to rush to the office since I was already late.
Aaarrrrrh, she screamed again!!!. I rushed to where she was sitting down
” Honey, what’s the problem again?”
“My stomach aches again.I feel like fainting again. Please stay with me. Don’t go to the office. Pleaseeeeeee”,she stuttered.
“Alright, you win. I won’t go again to work again”
I sat down beside her as I kept rubbing her stomach to ease the pains she felt.
” Honey, if you’ve forgiven me, can we do one round?”, My wife asked.
“Jeez, One round of what?”
“You know what I mean.I can lock the room door if you want”
“N*ughty wife!Stand up let’s leave this hospital before I go and report you to the doctor”, I teased her.
“I love you so much sweetie”, she said as she hugged me.
Curtain falls.
