FREEDOM OF AN AGRIC FOWL
Mehnn.…. It was a surprise galore on one day like that. About two weeks ago somebody who I have been longing to see for months now finally visited. See the way I screamed out my voice as if I just jammed a ghost, but she is not a ghost, she is an actual and beautiful demoiselle, she is a cousin of mine.
After the joyful ululation had settled a while, she popped another surprise into the sky. Common guys! I brought something, she said. What did you bring? I said anxiously. I dropped it in the backyard come and see, we all went to see. Wow! Over there was one white, fresh and big fowl tied and caged in a basket.
We were so much sorry for the fowl, for the merciless way it was bonded in the basket. Me trying to show compassion on the fowl I said; “ah you are wicked, how could you tie a living thing this tight” My pretty cousin innocently said, “it’s not my fault I don’t just want it to escape, so we don’t lose it”. I urgently went inside to get a knife and painstakingly loose the fowl totally without remaining a single rope.
Haven’t loosen the fowl, everyone standing shouted my name “Titi”! They felt the fowl would fly away and become a problem to find back. But unexpectedly it calmly stayed, and began to stare. What sort of Fowl is this? My siblings confusedly asked.
But it didn’t show any symptoms of disease when mummy gave it to me or is it pretending? My cousin too was confused. But for me, I wasn’t confused or scared of anything, “from the experience I had in poultry farming that is the way agric fowls are.” I explained to them. I told them that agric fowls never accept their freedom, unlike the local fowls.
If a local fowl was the one found in that shoe, it will activate the mode called “japa” which means “escape” and it will take a strong person to pursue and get it back. After he had almost sweated out, all the water in his body.
We left this fowl like that till the time we were ready to slaughter it, even when it saw me coming with a knife straight to its direction, it still didn’t move an inch, can you imagine!
We have some people like that today, who have that agric fowl kind of freedom. They have been forgiven of their sins but yet they are swimming in the pool of their guilt. They feel they had a terrible past, they don’t see themselves totally free and they kept holding on to that past.
Jesus Christ has loosened them from their bondage but they are not ready to flee and escape from the punishment, they felt they don’t worth the freedom.
My dear friend, are you in that situation? Are you assuming that agric fowl kind of freedom? Dear Come out of it, you worth your freedom. Jesus has paid it all for you, you are not partially free but you are free indeed.
Though you are a product of your past but stop being a prisoner of it. If Jesus says you are free then you are free indeed. Claim your freedom and believe you are absolutely and totally free.
