It had been a three days since Lilley ate or drank any liquid , she was in the bed bound hands and feet, her skin had gotten so pale , it was just her shell , another entity possessed her . Michael had refused to give up on his daughter , Jessica was still too weak to follow her husband and daughter to churches and prayer houses , wherever they were recommended Michael would go with Lilley .
Prayers and offering were given but she still wasn’t getting better . She was lying in bed when Jessica came to her room , she could smell the stench of death around her daughter. “What are you doing here you whore ? ” Lilley laughed with dried and broken lips . “I thought you would be rotting in hell with your father already.” she laughed hysterically.
“Jesus please help my daughter, Jesus please bring my daughter back to me .” Jessica cried sitting by Lilley’s bed . “Who? he cannot save her , he died he was too weak , he let mare mortals kill him son of God?” She scoffed , Jessica knew the voice of her daughter, she knew it wasn’t her Lilley talking , the thirteen years old girl looked so thin like one suffering from a terminal disease .
“Mummy is that you ?” Lilley spoke for the first time , her eyes were white like those of one who had a bad case of cataracts on both eyes , the iris were missing , her veins were showing under her skin , there were so black ,as if her blood were charcoal. “Lilley can you hear me ?” Jessica whispered when she heard Lilley’s voice .
“Mummy am I dead ? ” Lilley asked , she was in a dark maze , a place so dark she couldn’t see her way out of the tunnel , she kept crying for help . “No baby you’re not dead .” Jessica said taking her daughter’s frail hands in her hand .
“Mummy are you dead ?” Lilley asked . “No Baby am not dead I can out of coma , baby I saw you this way , please come back to me Lilley I beg you .” Jessica said trembling in tears . “Mummy am trying , I cannot find my way back , mummy I want to come home , Mummy run , run she’s coming !” Lilley screamed her eyes turned to black , she sat up her head turned in a robotic way , she faced her mother , she pointed her tied hands at her mother , a force picked Jessica from the ground and slammed her against the wall .
“Nobody! nobody can save her from me! not God not any man on this earth , I’ve taken possession of this body , she’s mine , the better you accept it , the best for you !” Lilley said , Michael ran in when he heard Jessica’s cry . “Baby you shouldn’t have come in here .” Michael said .
“Lilley spoke to me Michael our baby is still there .” Jessica said tears and mucus falling from her eyes , she didn’t mind the blood flowing down from her nose , she wiped it with the back of her hand , they had taken Edward to Rebecca’s house.
Soon Rose drove into the compound in a company of pastor and his prayer band ,they met Michael holding his sobbing wife , she shivered in tears .
“Where is the child ?” The pastor asked , Jessica pointed upstairs, she had lost hope ,so many people had prayed for Lilley but the evil spirit seemed to have had a hold on her , they showed the pastor the room where Lilley was .
“Oh Pastor Judah Okoye they brought you here ?” Lilley said sitting up at once , her eyes were pure white again , she had a mischievous smirk on her deadpanned face .”Oh so pathetic, you who beats your wife ? you think you can confront me ?” she laughed hysterically in a voice of an old woman .
“I can never come under your subjection!” She barked . “You familiar spirit from the pit of hell , you demon possessing this child I command you come out of this body in the name of Jesus !” The pastor prayed pointing his bible at Lilley .
“Noooo! make him stop!” Lilley cried ” I command you come out , loose your hold on this child in Jesus name !” The pastor prayed Lilley began to cry , she was in pains she felt like a bulldozer was grinding her bones , she began to twist and turn on the bed ,her she bent herself as if she wanted to do an acrobatic circular flip over . “Come out in the name of Jesus ! come out in the name of Jesus !” The pastor prayed ,the rope that bond Lilley’s arms and legs began to melt in a fervent heat.
“I said no! this child is mine! you cannot take her from me !” Lilley cried in a male voice , she leaped from the bed and landed on the back of the pastor , she began to bite him , with her teeth that had sharp canine fangs ,the pastor began to scream , his members tried to pull Lilley off , she glued to his body , biting his ears, blood began to spill all over like a broken tap .
“Blood of Jesus ! Blood of Jesus !” the pastor kept crying as he struggled to get away from the skinny girl , but the power of Camila made Lilley ten times stronger , she wrestled the pastor to the ground pummeling him , hitting his head against the wall .
“I told you not to pray for me ! didn’t I !” Lilley yelled in the brash voice of an old white woman . Finally the brethren peeled her off , they ran out of the room with their pastor , the door slammed shut through telekinetic powers, she fell on the ground and passed out from the stress of the encounter .
“Pastor how is my granddaughter?” Rose asked the pastor as he was about to go . “Madam the demon in your child pass my power , I cannot do it am sorry .” The man said .
“But pastor you promised me that you will help us ?” Rose said . “Madam is it until I kill myself before you will know that we tried ? is it because of the money you paid us ? madam see my ears .” He turned his left ears so rose could see it . “Madam if that possessed girl remove my ears can money fix it ?” He asked angrily .
“Mezie let’s go!” He ordered, his members followed him out of the mansion , his handkerchief was placed against his bleeding ears .
“Jesus what is this ? this weight is too much for me . Come and do something Jesus please .” Jessica broke into tears . “What is this ? Jesus what have we done to deserve this kind of punishment? please have mercy on us , please send a helper Jesus , my heart can’t take this anymore , father send a helper .” She cried in her husband’s arms . After he had calmed her he climbed up to go and check on Lilley , she was lying on the floor , he picked her up and took her to her bed , the bed appeared to be burnt , the room smelt of smoke .
He knelt beside Lilley’s bed , he lay his head on her bed weeping , he had been holding the tears . “Jesus please help my child .” He said silently , he prayed for a while , Lilley lay quietly in bed ,eyes closed she was dressed in a pink cotton pajamas , he closed the door behind him and walked out of the room .
“No mum we can’t take my daughter to her . We are talking of one problem here you want to make it too , that woman combines her prayers with black magic .” Jessica said bluntly to her mother .”But Jessica time is running out , for four days she has not eaten , how long can she stay ? I’ve lost two family members in the space of two months , I cannot lose her too please let us take her to the prophetess .” Rose begged her daughter .
“No way mum , I respect you oh , but you see this request it won’t work , I’ll rather watch my daughter die than take her to the woman we both know used to give dad his charms .” Jessica said . “Your father wasn’t using charms , she only gave him black soap to bath to help him win his elections , has he not been winning the elections? four times in the senate , and to be the senate President do you think is easy ?” Rose asked her daughter.
“Mum Lilley won’t go to her period !” Jessica said and plopped into a couch . “Mama we know we need help , but you cannot get help from Satan to fight Satan , we have been weak in faith and prayers , the devil took advantage of us , but we won’t make bad worst .” Michael added his voice , Rose sat down and folded put her arms in between her laps .
On a tall mountain across the Kubwa Express way near the estate where the Abbey’s mansion stood , a pastor perched atop black rock , far away from the noise of Abuja , rapping in strange tongues , he heard a clear voice speak .
“Elijah Moses Ayoolade go down from this mountain , one a work for you .” The pastor looked around if anyone was playing a prank on him , but there was no one there . “You will go to the houses you’re seeing across the road , a white mansion , in it a girl needs your help , hurry for she has but a little time .” The pastor turned in all directions , he gathered his palms sandals , and his big black Bible with pages so old and brown like a Bible left behind by pre-colonial missionaries , he began to struggle to get down of the black slippery rock , he was so careful not to lost his footing , the rock was wet , it took him fifteen minutes to get down the hill, another five minutes to cross the ever busy Kubwa Express Highway, where cars whizzed by like bullets .
with his oversized suit he began to knock gate after gate asking the security men if they had anyone who needed deliverance , most guards thought he was crazy because his hair was bushy with dried twigs and leafs hanging to it , his oversized suit looked as if it was put on bleach , his trousers were we call in Nigerian parlance “Touch ground catch fire .” In summary pastor Elijah was unkept .
“Haaa My God please show me the right gate Baba, I’ve gone to ten gates and still it’s not it .” He whispered under his , he came to the white gate of the six bedroom duplex , he knocked on the door , a hostile looking guard open the gate . “Oga Na waiting ?” He asked rudely .
“Do you have a girl that is possessed in this house maybe twelve or thirteen years old ?” the pastor asked the man looked at him from head to toes. “Oga please comout here before I call police for you .” He said and closed the pedestrian gate,almost hitting pastor Elijah, he turned and was about going , when the voice asked him to return to the gate , he hit the gate so hard in anger , the security man came to the gate .
“Oga you dey mad! you want make I change am for you ? I never tell you make you leave this place !” He barked at the pastor , Michael had come down to pick something from his car he heard the angry voice of the security man , so he went to investigate. “Barnabas what is it ? who is there ?” Michael asked .
“Oga Na one wacko oh , he no want leave the gate, with him suit like Japanese parachute!” The guard said with a raised voice . “Oga move from here before I change am for you!”
“it’s Okay Barnabas what does he want ?” Michael asked walking towards the gate . “Oga good evening sir , who are you looking for ?” Michael asked .
“I am pastor Elijah Moses Ayoolade, I was on that mountain praying , when God asked me to come here , that there’s a girl that needs my help . Is your daughter in some sort of enchantment?” the pastor asked , Michael looked at him from head to toe wondering if he was a scammer who had come to take his own pound of flesh . “Follow me sir .” Micheal said .
“Oga are you sure ? this man looks like a thief oh!” the security guard said . “Let him through!” Micheal said as he turned towards the house , the guard refused to let the pastor through he forced his way . The young pastor kept staring at the beautiful ceiling of the mansion.
“Who is this one again ?” Jessica’s mum asked , looking at the dirty pastor with disdain . “He said he is a pastor .” Michael said , the pastor sat down on the couch and crossed his leg .
“Please sister go and get me a glass of water , I’m very thirsty , I’m coming from atop that mountain , I’ve been fasting for three days and three night , I need water . If you have food bring it too.” Michael and Jessica got up and rushed into the kitchen , they brought a pack of juice a cold bottle of water and fried rice and chicken . The pastor placed his hands over the food and blessed the food .
His jaws were making loud noises like a grinding machine as he munched down the food , Rose gaze at him with total disgust , she wondered why Michael would allow a mad person into the house . When the pastor was done eating he belched and drank the juice , he grabbed his Bible.
“Take me to the room where Lilley is .” he said a shock wave ran through the couple , they wondered how he got to know her name . immediately he got to the room , Lilley got up on her bed , hands on the bed like a dog , she began to growl .
“Do you want to stay or you want to go down and wait ?” pastor Elijah asked the three , Micheal said they wanted to stay . “You demon I know you recognise me , my name is Elijah Moses Ayoolade, am a servant of the most high God , you’ve overstayed your welcome in that body I want you to leave now .” He spoke to Camila , he didn’t see Lilley but Camila the white girl , with a pale skin .
“Make me leave!” Camila said . “I don’t want to stress myself Camila , leave now that you still have the chance , when I begin this war, I won’t listen to your pleas .” He said . “I want to see what you can do , you’re not the first so called pastor who thought they could cast me out , they’re six feet under the ground now .” Lilley said .
“Okay since you want war , to way we shall go , the bible in the book of Psalms chapter Ninety one vs one and two says …” the demon didn’t let the pastor complete his reading .
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” It Quoted, pastor Elijah laughed .
“I know you will know that passage I’ll read from Ephesians in chapter six verse twelve the bible says …” pastor Elijah had not finished when the evil spirit interrupted him again .
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. I’m a demon from the highest places , what can you do to stop me ? Your pastoral journey has not even started you want to end it here , I am Lucifer the prince of darkness , I want to see what you can do .” Lilley said in the eyes of pastor Elijah, Lilley had changed to an eight feet demon ,with horns the seize of cows , skin so black with scales like crocodile , it glared at him with anger , trying to scare him , he glared back into the face of the demon . “This is my child you cannot remove her from her host , she has to remain until the child dies , then she can come back to me .” Jessica began to cry when she heard the beast say that .
“You cannot kill this child , you’ll leave that body without your choice and you Camila your soul shall be cast into hell!” Pastor Elijah said . “Bring it on !” Camila hissed .
