“Somebody help me , my eyes ,help me .” The senator cried . “Jesus Bonny what happened to you ? Jesus Christ help!” Rose cried , soon the security men were inside the house .
“The Teddy bear attacked me .” The senator said , my eyes , I can’t see.” He cried , the men held him one by each side and rushed him to the car , he was bleeding profusely from both eyes . “Rose are you here ?” the senator called after his wife .
“Yes honey am here right here beside you .” Rose said weeping her eyes out . “Rose please tell Michael am sorry , we wrongly threw him in jail , am sorry for also not believing you . You should go and get Lilley back from the school.” He said. “Yes I’ll honey , I’ll please stay alive for me .” She said , the senator was quiet. Doctors at the Asokoro hospital had already been called , the white Hilux ahead of them was running at top speed , the streets of Abuja were already empty , it was around twelve A.M the street lights lighted up the dark street , in three minutes time they entered the premises of the hospital.
“Bonny ? Bonny ?” Rose said shaking her husband , he shook limply . “No Na you can’t do this to me Bonny please wake up ?” She said , he fell head first and was held by the seat in front of him , streams of mucus and saliva mixed with blood poured out of his mouth .
“Boniface! Aaaarh Jesus Boniface you cannot die and leave me na! please wake up darling !” Rose cried , the police men and the DSS officials tried to take the senator into the hospital Rose held on to her husband, the husband of her youth , they had been each other’s best friend for over forty five years and were married for thirty nine years.
The men pulled the senator from the car , he was placed on a trolley bed , hand and neck hanging loosely , they rushed with him into the emergency ward , the doctors tried to resuscitate him , but he had lost so much blood and had passed away , Rose wept until her voice cracked . The corpse of senator Boniface Bricks was rolled into the morgue , Rose came back to the car , she placed her head on the door and began to beat the body of the car as she wept , she couldn’t contain the pain, the car was soaked in her husband’s blood , the police from FCT Command were already in the house accessing the CCTV footage , they saw the eerie demonic toy how it attacked and hauled the senator about .
“We need to find that toy, it should still be around .” They said , they entered from room to room searching for Eddie , they found it lying lifeless in Lilley’s closet , they were first afraid to pick it up , but then a brave police man lifted the bloody teddy , it was still covered in fresh blood .
They took the Teddy outside the house . “Get me kerosene and matches!” The police man said , they brought lighter . “We don’t have kerosene but can we bring fuel from the car ?” One of the drivers asked , the police man nodded , he doused Eddie with the fuel and ignited the Teddy bear .
“aaaarrrrrh not again , you burnt me ! I’ll come back and destroy your families, I’ll kill you and drag your souls to hell!” Eddie cried as it was melting away , a strong wind blew against the police men , Camila left Eddie , she began to fly straight for Avarest American High School .
The school was quiet students were in bed , a sudden burst of glass windows in Lilley’s room made everyone get up , Camila entered her body . At the same time in Las Palmas City Hospital, Jessica opened her eyes after three years in coma , her sister Rebecca was right there by her side , sleeping with her head resting on the iron bed .
“Becky ?” she called out , Rebecca slowly opened her eyes . “Jessica! You’re awake ?” She embraced her sister , before running out to call the doctors , they rushed into the room and checked Jessica’s vitals she was doing alright, the unplugged the ventilator, she drew in a fresh breath of air .
“Where are my kids ? where is Michael why is he not here?” Jessica whispered. “Do you remember what happened to you ?” Rebecca asked , Jessica shook her head . “Your husband has been in prison for three years now , for attempted murder .” Jessica shook her head .
“That’s wrong , that’s wrong Michael couldn’t have ever hurt me , where are my kids ?” She asked . “Lilley is in a boarding house while Eddie is at the family house .” Rebecca explained .
“Call mum and dad tell them that my husband was innocent , I think the Teddy bear attacked me , I was on the phone with Michael when the attack started .” she corroborated her husband’s story , Rebecca dialled her father’s it kept ringing but no one was answering the call . “We’ll talk to them tomorrow morning.” Rebecca said .
“I want to see my children, I want to see Lilley and Edward.” Jessica said weeping. “Don’t worry Sis you’ll see them I’ll go and bring them tomorrow.” Rebecca said holding Jessica’s hands in hers , as she wept .
“They think they can destroy me , nobody can , I own this body , I’ll ruin this body nobody can take you from me Lilley you’re mine , and mine you will be forever !” The angry of Camila spoke through Lilley . “I’ll burn down this school , I’ll kill everyone in it , you burnt me the second time !” Lilley said , she fell from the upper bunk to the ground , she got up, grabbed one of her roommate, Lilley slammed her to the wall , the screams of the girls filled the room , they struggled to open the door and escape from the room .
Lilley walked out of her dorm room wearing a white pajamas the girls ran to the matron and reported what they had seen ,the matron took her flashlight and climbed up to Lilley’s floor , she saw Lilley’s eyes shinning like those of wild cats in the dead of the night .
“Lilley what has come over you , you’re scaring your friends and roommates .” The matron said , Lilley glared at her like a lion would it prey . “I am not Lilley , I am Camila , I don’t want to scare anyone , I want to kill you all you’re pathetic!” Lilley said ,the woman was in shock , Lilley spoke in an old American accent ,her fingers began to sprout out of her hands so dirty and black, she leaped into the air and landed on the woman , she began scratch the woman with her razor sharp claws , she screamed angrily like a rabid dog the woman cried and screamed for help , soon the guards from the gate arrived and plucked Lilley from the woman , she was already bleeding , Lilley struggled trying to break free , she wanted to kill the matron she was thirsty for her blood , but the men held her down and bond her hands and legs with ropes.
“Put me down! Put me down were are you taking me to!” Lilley yelled as she fought to break free , the men took her to the infirmary, the nurses on duty have her drugs to make her sleep till the next morning , but none of the drugs had any effect on her .
Rose rushed to the hospital the morning to see her daughter , at the hospital she broke the news of the senator’s passing , Edward and his nanny had followed her to the hospital. “Mummy , mummy , mummy .” the five years old boy kept saying as he climbed on her body , he cried so much that Jessica had to cry with him .
“Mummy I remember vividly I burnt the Teddy when it pushed Eddie from the staircase, at the same time the Lilley developed a condition that appeared like a fire burn , she was in the hospital for four days , I was surprised to see same Teddy, it attacked me .” She said tears falling from her eyes .
“When I started seeing the Teddy , I told your dad it attacked me , but he wouldn’t believe now it took him .” Rose said wiping tears from her face . “Mum Michael is innocent, you have to pull strings to release him from the prison he’s suffering unjustly for what he didn’t do .” Rebecca said , she agreed .
“I’ll put a call through to the judge , he’ll know what to do .” Rose said , she put a call to the judge , she promised her that she would talk to the controller of prisons . Later that evening she received a call that Micheal would be released the next day .
Lilley was transported to a Psychiatric hospital for evaluation, but when the doctors saw her telekinetic powers , she moved beds and stools with her mind , she was able to bend metals with her mind , they deemed her too dangerous to be in their custody , so they asked that she should be taken to a church .
Rose and Rebecca moved Lilley from one church to another , they seemed to be no solution , after so many prayers the Camila girl refused to go . Lilley would tease her grandmother and tell her how she killed her husband and her grand child and tell her how she was going to also kill her .
Micheal was released from the Kuje prison , he looked like a skeleton that had human skin on , when Jessica saw her husband she broke into tears.
“Stop crying baby am back that’s what is important .” He saw his son , when he tried to touch Edward the boy ram away , terrified of the stranger. They moved back home after five more days in the hospital .
Lilley was brought to the house after they were discharged , Michael and Jessica were confused they didn’t know what to do , they only prayed that God would perfect Lilley’s healing .
