Jacinta entered the room staring at immaculate, immaculate was frightened she started begging her mum to have mercy on her
Jacinta sat down the bed toasting the dagger up and down
I gave birth to you right? She asked looking at her
Yes mum,I’m your daughter
Do you know I can stab you here and lock you inside this room and still declare you missing without anyone’s knowledge, hope you know that
Immaculate nodded shivering she knelt down and raised her hands up
This will be the first and last you will ever talk to me anyhow again because I gave birth to you,I’m a beast if you don’t know who your mother is.. Jacinta told her
I won’t even come close to you anymore,I’ll leave the house for you.. Immaculate replied still shivering
Good, now pull off those clothes.. she commanded
For what mum? She asked
If you don’t remove those clothes in the next thirty seconds I’ll stab you here..
Okay mum,I’m doing that already.. your wish is my command don’t stab me.. she pleaded pulling off her clothes
Nancy was making dinner when Doctor Charles entered
What if I ask you to marry me? He asked picking a plantain from the plate
Huh! She shouted turning to face him
Yes Nancy..he replied
Nancy rubbed her palm and smiled “After my exams first” she said blushing
Doctor Charles stared at her and started laughing ‘Was only joking ‘ he said
Nancy jumped on him and collected her plantain
Melissa came in clapping her hands and jumping up at the same time
What’s wrong with this one? Nancy asked laughing

Nancy blushed and continued frying her plantain
We will be going to your village soon.. Doctor Charles said
Why? Nancy asked
So that your parents will know you are still much alive..He replied washing his hands
My mum? That woman is a tough woman I pray she believes whatever that comes out of my mouth… she said frowning
We will talk to her and tell her what my parents did to you.. Melissa chipped
In three weeks time Nancy was done with her exams she came back from school praying fervently for results
She went to the kitchen and got a glass of wine for herself and Melissa when she threw up
Are you okay? Melissa asked holding her
Been feeling weak and sick this days,I need to treat malaria.. she said
Melissa rushed to the toilet to get a mop and water she was cleaning the floor when Nancy threw up again
Are you pregnant? She asked
Nancy stared at her,rinsed her mouth and faced Melissa
I’m not pregnant Melissa.. she said
Sip the juice then.. Melissa told her
Nancy tried to sip the juice but ended up vomiting again
Melissa started laughing ‘ you’re pregnant ‘
Doctor Melissa.. Nancy called
Doctor Charles came back in the evening, Nancy was covering herself with the duvet while Melissa sat beside her
Is she okay? He asked
She’s not okay oooo, she has been running temperature since today
Nana..He fondly called
Nancy raised her head up, she sighed and dropped her head
He got his first aid kit checked her temperature and gave her some tablets to drink
I think she’s pregnant ooo.. Melissa said
Doctor Charles smiled and promised to run a pregnancy test for her tomorrow
Melissa this is getting me pissed ,I told you I’m not pregnant you won’t listen until you get me angry.. Nancy said
Mood swings… Melissa replied leaving the room
Immaculate was dressing up to go out when she mum called her
‘ you ain’t going anywhere ‘
Why mum? She asked
I want you.. she replied
Mum I’m tired, don’t you have a husband?
Don’t question me or else..
You can’t do anything ooo,I swear you can’t.. she said crying
She was still crying when she felt a sharp pain in her tummy, she opened her eyes widely and saw her mum removing a dagger from her body
“you stabbed me mum” she cried and fell down leaving the world
Hey mum.. bethel screamed
Come here now.. she commanded
Bethel ran for his life to an unknown destination
Jacinta dragged immaculate to one of the empty rooms and dumped her there feeling no remorse
Nancy took doctor Charles and Melissa to the village her mum was busy in the kitchen while her dad was busy with his radio
He heard the sound of a car and went to check who the person was,he went closer and saw his daughter beaming with smiles he threw his radio away and rushed to hug his daughter
Where is mummy? She asked crying
She is in the kitchen, let’s go.. her dad said taking them to the kitchen
Nancy stood looking at her mum, her mum was blowing the fire and coughing at the same time, she rushed and hugged her from the back
Oooom Nnamdi please leave me.. she said still blowing the fire
It’s me mum,I miss you mum.. she cried
Her mum quickly turned, she jumped on her daughter both fell down looking at each other and crying.
Nancy and Doctor Charles are falling in love with each other gradually…
