I KILLED MY FATHER
“You foul spirit I command you to leave this body in Jesus name!” The pastor commanded , I saw little demons leave my body , bigger once replace them .
“You think you’re strong ? I have a hold on this body , I cannot let him go!” The beast yelled through me , in a strange and guttural voice .
“Jesus has set this soul free Satan you have no hold on him!” The pastor said pointing his Bible at me , three hundred demons left my body.
“This body is mine, we had a deal , he sold his soul to me! I’ve given it to Lucifer, loose me from this rope if I won’t pluck out your eyes and feed them to the birds of hell.” I yelled at the pastor . “You hypocrite,You are unforgiving , in your heart you bear hatred and malice , you cannot free him , when you left your house without saying good morning to your wife , and for three weeks you have both have not spoken .” The beast spoke to the pastor, he was shocked that i could no his deepest secrets , I glared at him with my blackened eye balls .
He left me tied to the chair , I had turned violent in school when a teacher cautioned me about the using my Walkman CD player and headphones in his class , I ignored him, if only he had known that i was not ordinary, he would have let me be .
But then he forcefully removed my head phones , thereby cutting off the cable, a rush of anger filled my chest , to the shock of my class mates , I headbutt the poor man , he crumbled on the ground with severe pains, I forgot were i was the reptilian beast began to come over me , I choked the man , holding him with one hand against the white board , he peed on himself, I couldn’t hear the screams and pleas of my class mates, they tried to pull my hands from his neck , but couldn’t.
Some ran down to the gate to call the security man , an old soldier , when he came he tried to free the now pale teacher , I had cut off blood supply to his brain , his legs and hands had gone limp .
The man stroke me in the head with his curved stick , I crumpled in a heap, I let go of the man’s neck , he was unresponsive, and was rushed to the hospital, I was also taken to the hospital. My mum was called to the school my expulsion letter was handed to her , with an instruction That I was never to go near the school, or I risked getting arrested.
I was treated of my head injury, later that evening I was released to go back home, mum was tired of all my shenanigans, she spoke to me harshly .
“Solomon what’s wrong with you ? why are you behaving like your father ?” She cried .My dad and Raymond stared at her . “Don’t you dare compare this madman to me! are you okay ? is it not you who have been shielding him from correction? Now deal with it” he gathered his purse , and his pads , i climbed up .
“Solomon why can’t you be my son, who had love and compassion?” mum yelled. “I am not that boy! life happened get used to it!” I said and tried to walk away from her , she pulled me back , with a hard yank , I couldn’t believe she could be so powerful.
“I am still your mother , I got that phone for you , why did you attack the man!” Mum yelled at me , i got furious.
“I am not violent mum! leave me the fock alone!” I felt a thunder strike my face ,I thought mum had hit me with a wood , my eyes began to change, the beast told me to tear her in bits, but I had to fight the urge .
“You’ll never use such foul language with me again in your life!” Mum said pointing at me . “I didn’t raise a beast , now tell me why did you attack that poor man because of an earphone?” Mum hollered.
“Mum did I stop him from teaching? why did he touch my headphones?” I argued back . ” Was that why you almost killed him? give me your phone !” mum said with authority.
“No mum i can’t give you my phone now Solomon!” mum barked . “No mum I won’t give you my phone!” She snatched the phone from me , I wanted to drag it out of her hands the phone fell face down , and crashed into the tiled floor, the Screen went blank, only showing light.
“Aaaarh!”I screamed in a voice of the beast , i began to punch the wall, each place I punched sank in , with a little push the couch flew across the parlor, I raised the eighty inches television my dad had gotten for five million naira , just a few weeks back i smashed it into the wall, mum was horrified to see me in my half beast mode , iI raised the glass table and smashed it against the wall , into the kitchen i went and destroyed the freezer and fridges , then all the cookers and all the windows .
I went to the carport and pulled that canopy like mushrooms, I got a digger from the yard , i tore the skin of all the cars randomly, I burst open all the glasses and windscreens , even the bullet proof cars , Dad had called the police, mum called my doctors from the psychiatric hospital, when i was done with my rampage , I climbed up into my bedroom to sleep .
I woke up the next morning chained to the hospital bed at a psychiatric ward in Gwagwalada . I had no memory of the the havoc I had done , I woke up lucid I was asking mum why I was chained to the bed .
No matter how I begged that i should be let go , mum said I needed to be contained, I was in the hospital for two weeks , each night I woke up to see mum sleeping on a mattress beside me .
One night I woke up she was not there , I broke the chains off my hands , the security men at the ward tried to stop me , I escaped and ran all the way from Gwagwalada to Maitama in just twenty minutes, a distance of one hour thirty minutes.
The Noise of my parents the next morning, wondering what had torn down the gate , and removed the German door at the main exit of the house , in a precised manner woke me up from sleep , when they saw me , I could see shock on their face .
“Solomon how are you here ?” Mum asked . “You left me alone in the hospital! With mad people!” I accused my mum angrily , my eyes had began to change.
“Solomon I left you in the care of a nice nurse , just to rest at home for today .” Mum said apologetically , I hissed like a lizard , I had began to change my nails were becoming claws , my clothes tearing up, as muscles and scales took over my body .
“I killed her mummy.” I said .”Jesus Solomon what’s wrong with you ?” Mum
they had no reason to doubt, the door and gate showed them what I could do .Dad and Raymond were hiding behind my mum, I had fully turned to the beast . The television was on and and the volume very high .
“It was a carnage , over three nurses and two security men lost their lives at the Gwagalada psychiatric hospital, witnesses said at about two A.M a black beast of about eight feet , broke out of the facility, this might bring an explanation to the carcasses and human remains that have been littering the streets of Abuja , especially in the Maitama and Central Area of the city center , Experts have advised that residents should be careful and avoid late night loitering because this beast seen in this amateur footage is still out there waiting to kill .”
“Please Solomon my son this is not you , you can fight whatever is controlling you.” Mum said as I walked with claws ready to tear them up , dad I guess was shitting in his pants .
“See what you made me into.” I hissed as I pushed my out of the way , then she understood what had happened in my school, how I was able to lift my teacher and almost killed him. I picked him up from the ground and pinned him against the wall , claws ready to tear open his head .
“Solomon that’s not you , you cannot repay him with evil, fight that thing in you.If you kill him now he wins , you’re just like him .” Mum said , I stared at my father looking so vulnerable in my hand .
“That’s not my son! Solomon fight it!” Mummy said , I gently put my father down , he coughed , holding his throat he ran away .
I screamed so loud as i struggled to change back into my human form. The beast was angry at me for not finishing my father up .
Aunt Mirabel and mum begged that I should follow them to see pastor who could help me , I knew I needed help,the beast didn’t want me to go ,but I did the opposite of what it said , I cried when I saw the news of the people I killed , it was also clear to me I killed the people in the police station .
A second pastor joined the first pastor joined, I could see him burning, fire was burning all over him .
”You evil thing , you’ve over Stayed your welcomes , I command you in the name of Jesus ! leave this boy in Jesus name !” I felt fire from him burning my body , the thing inside of me commanded me to pull down for roof of the church, I stared at the roof , the roof of the church collapsed, the pastors ran away .
I commanded the glasses of the church to break in several splinters, the prayer Warriors kept praying outside the church , the reptile pulled out of me , with claws grabbed the owner of the church.
”You foul spirit I command you come out in the name of Jesus!” the pastor prayed , the spirit pulled out from me looking very angry, it left the neck of the pastor, it retracted, with more than a thousand black snakes, birds and reptile , they all flew out of my body .
I felt light , the pastor’s loosen the rope tying me to the chair . “Solomon?” Mum said when she got into the church room .
“Mummy .” I said with tears in my eyes , she embraced me ,I hugged her tight .
