They walked side by side in silence as they entered the house.
She looked around In total wonder.
“You live here alone?
She exclaimed again
“Yeah, with my domestic staffs. you don’t like it? I completed the building two years ago…
She slapped his arm playfully.
“Ofcourse I love it. Looking at the fine structure both from outside and inside is a wow. The engraving on the walls, the art works, the mini grass field and pool, the breath of nature is all I see here. Everything smells and looks outstanding and creative Max… wow. You did a great job… your house is fabulous, is breath taking Maxwell Luke..
Maxwell smiled, expressing a well set dentals as Florence called his full name.
“Thanks Flox. You made me to fall in love with nature back when we started dating. Even after we ended things my love for creative arte didn’t stop. Come with me I want to show you many more.
Florence followed him behind.
She was happy with everything that greeted her eyes. Neat and perfectly in order.
They have been hanging out, meeting at their usual field, going to movies, comedy shows and other fun place mostly on weekends.
Maxwell has invited her over to his place many times but she always turned it down or give excuses.
She finally made up her mind to honor his invitation.
Maxwell asked her not to bother driving, he was going to come and pick her up.
She sent him address of her place and he came earlier than she thought.
He has to wait for her to get ready before they left together.
He came with another car, a black SUV not his usual Prado Jeep.
It was more of a quiet drive, Maxwell was the only one doing most of the talking and getting less reply and more nod from Florence.
It was when they drove into the gate after the security opened up did Florence exclaimed loudly.
“I love this Max…
After looking around the compound she throws her hand in the air happily.
“I’m glad you like it. Come let me show you the rest of the property…
Maxwell replied while laughing.
Florence followed him on a tour as he showed her every part of the building.
Florence later settled down.
“I’m a great chef too aside my road Job which has finally come to an end. I learnt different dishes in some of the country I visited. Maybe I will get to show you my cooking skills some day…. what do you think.
“Great… that will be nice Max. I look forward to it.
Maxwell smile before calling on his domestic staffs. He introduced them to Florence.
The cook, the housekeeper, laundry man, the other workers within the compound like the gardner, the two security and pool man too.
They greeted Florence kindly before returning back to their duties.
In no time the cook announced that the food was ready and already set out in the dinning.
Maxwell led Florence to the dining section. everything about the house and it’s setting was absolutely beautiful which includes the dining setting.
The food taste great also.
After dining with Maxwell, he took her to his private sitting room filled with beautiful canvases hanging on the wall.
They went sipping home made Chapman and talking generally.
“…This is the result of all my tour, all my hard work, journeying none stop and putting my life and all I got at risk. I completed my second company building four years ago before building this house. It was while I was pursuing a better Life that nature took you away from me… making you fall in love with Coleman. The biggest kick on my butt was loosing you Flox but I can’t fight nature or God who knows better than we do. There must be a reason for everything, I only wish you had exercised more patient with me…
Florence face suddenly changed into a frown.
“Did you just mention patience? I could have waited patiently for you to tour the entire earth…is that what you meant? You put our love and relationship at stake…if it was important to you then we wouldn’t be having this conversation. I used almost three years of my life exercising patient, hoping things will be alright and back to how we started before you got your project testing and traveling job. Sometimes you will be gone for months with no communication. I tried Maxwell to continue rekindling our relationship so that it doesn’t loose it’s flavor. It feels like I’m the only one who values the relationship. I kept calling, kept sending messages with no reply, I kept hoping and praying that things will get better but it gets worst instead. I talked to you severally about it and you promised to Change but never did. Instead you became worst. What are you trying to tell me now… your love for me went cold. Maxwell interrupted with an apology.
“I’m sorry.. really sorry Flox. I played a huge part in everything that happened to us. I put my job ahead of our love. I couldn’t manage the two at the same time so I concentrated on the job instead. Worst mistake is not making effort to manage my relationship and my job and giving you a beautiful world like you deserved. Standing by me all those years was everything I needed. Knowing there’s a beautiful soul who believes in me makes me want to work more hard and repay you greatly for your kindness and patient. But I got distracted with my demanding job and loosed you to another. I’m sorry Flox for everything you went through because of my negligence. My love for you never went cold. He moved closer to her, took her hands into his, Florence didn’t pulled off as usual.
He spoke kindly to her, she listened to every of his words.
She looked from his eyes to his mouth. Maxwell was a nice fine man.
Maxwell was looking straight into her eyes as he spoke calmly.
Florence looked down at her wedding ring which she has not been able to removed despite is over seven months already, almost eight months she left her matrimonial home.
Cole has tried reaching her through different means, he even came to her office twice but she threaten to get him arrested if he continues stalking her for unserious reasons
His excuse was that he needed to get away from Marina for sometime.
Cole saw her as his ways escaping his shrewd mistress.
He imagined finding peace with her from his troubled mistress after which he will return back to her.
He wasn’t ready to do the right thing and bring his wife back home for better this time.
His major concerns remains Marina and the baby and how much he was spending and was almost going bankrupt because of Marina.
Marina was driving him insane and the only solution is to look for his wife and stay with her for sometime before returning back home to Marina
Florence has warned him and threaten arresting him with police that was two months ago.
Florence wish he has realize his mistake and ready to start on a new page.
She miss him and the home she was very used to.
Cole wasn’t ready to think right and see her real value.
She refused to throw herself into his arms because of the kind of love she had for him.
She won’t be his substitute or come second place in his life.
Inwardly she was hoping her marriage will be restored for the better but she won’t trade her life or happiness for it again.
“… Flox… Flox…
Maxwell tapped her gently. She looked up at him
“… you were carried away. Are you thinking about Cole or there is something bothering you. If you wish to share, I will be here to listen..
“I’m alright Max. Cole remains my husband…we aren’t divorced yet. Anyway, Nothing is bothering me…
She added as she checked the time. It was almost 8pm.
Maxwell nooded, stood and left her alone.
He stood by the window close to Florence.
“Is seven months already that you left him or he chased you out because of his pregnant side chic whom he later engaged. I understand how difficult it might be moving out and trying to move on but isn’t it time to start thinking about yourself, your happiness and peace of mind. I don’t want to discourage you from believing or hoping to get back with your husband but don’t loose yourself doing that. I want to see you happy Flox… you deserve to be happy. You are a good person and all this shouldn’t be happening to you. But I won’t thwart your hope, keep holding onto the tiniest of hope. Nature will smile back at you. No sparrow falls to the earth without the knowledge of God.”
Florence didn’t say anything. She checked the time again.
Maxwell felt bad, is obvious Florence love for Cole is far deeper than he can explain. She wants to let go and fully move on but her hopes that Cole will come back to his senses and come begging was still holding her back.
“I can see your continues checking of time, I guess is time for me take you home…?
Florence blinked several. The way Max sounds makes her wonder if he wants to quickly get rid of her.
He was trying to hide under the pretense of a curved smile but she knew him enough and knows he wasn’t happy.
Her feelings for him was coming back gradually, over some months now which she tried not to nuture.
Max is a nice guy, more loving, caring and also God fearing than Cole but she can’t run straight to his heart when she was still married to Cole though separated. She tried not to encourage him or her feelings.
Is better they remain just friends to avoid unnecessary feeling and drama.
Florence stood, she tried to cheer him up. She thanked him for the tour, the food and the drink.
She promised to come again and the statement made Maxwell happy as they both left.
Florence talked about one of the beautiful breath taking paintings she saw in his house.
Maxwell removed it from his wall and gave it to her. It was worth thousands of dollar. She declined the gift but he insisted.

Cole was talking with his mother. He paid her a visit.
“I’m reducing in finance, in mental health and peace of mind every day Mom, Marina drives me insane every freaking day. I don’t know anymore…
Madam Gold interrupted.
“Isn’t she supposed to be due two months ago… Why is she still pregnant?
“She said her doctor warned her not to do anything yet concerning the passed due date. She said if after this month and she didn’t experience labour then they will induced her. The funny part is she remain very active, mostly in bed. She is a Tigris during sex. I could have said she is one hell of a strong pregnant Lady but Marina is never strong in doing any chores in the house except during sex. I’m tired of the sex romp Mom, but she said I have to continue doing it to create a better hole for the baby to come out. There’s a way she said it…i have forgotten. My whole savings and almost all I got is going into Marina….
Cole clap his both hands together frustrated.
“, Listen Coleman, what if Florence casted a spell on Marina and said she won’t give birth safely and also want to frustrates you…?
“The Florence I know will never do such. She is too soft and loves me too. Did you know that she is still wearing her wedding ring? She wants me to come for her and I can bet you on that. Whenever I’m ready to take her back I will apply the necessary steps but I need to do something concerning Marina. If Florence was around i won’t be spending so much money paying a help to tidy the house or to make the meal. Let me focus on Marina because of my baby…I can’t wait to meet him. According to Marina is gonna be a boy. I will teach him everything he needs to know bout women…. Women are very dangerous species which includes his mother except you Mom…
Madam Gold drank deeply from her cup of red wine.
“Don’t count on all the money that you have spent so far. Your unborn son is the most important. I’m looking forward to meeting my grandson too. Florence maybe down to earth and all but that’s not what I’m after. Marina gave us what we wants which is a child. After giving birth to this one, still get her pregnant again maybe after two or three babies you can start thinking of bringing Florence back. Florence is just good for cleaning and making home. We need more than that. Her love for you like you mentioned will keep her waiting untill you are ready to bring her home. Being Mrs Spence is mostly what she’s after and I guess that’s why she can’t change the name or remove the ring.
Cole held his drink without lifting it to his mouth.
“I’m running low on Cash. Marina told me she needs money to buy more baby stuffs, to pay for the inducement, to pay for some hospital emergency as her doctor suggested. She mentioned other hospital bills. After calculating the whole money she mentioned it was more than a million. I don’t have such amount now which is why I came to you Mom
“I will give you some money Coleman but is mainly because of my grandson I’m doing it. you have to look for a way to curtail your financial burden, I can’t help you always…

Back home Marina was pacing up and down on phone.
“Avid…Avid…what is wrong with you? This is not the exact size I needed, is very loose. I have been trying to manage it pending on the time I finalize my plan but is getting worst. Cole is not around, I can drive down to pick up another one from your end. Did you know most times if I’m making love with Cole I have to hold onto it with one hand so that it does not pull out and exposed me. Please, check a perfect size before sending…I pay you enough for this things I shouldn’t be complaining. I did not complain with the other fake pregnant bump until this last one that is giving me issue. If this whole thing wasn’t worth it I won’t be here wasting my time with an annoying man like Cole. I’m not after being Mrs Spence, money is my driving force and a nice roof over my head with a good ride. If you know the amount of money I collects from Cole you wouldn’t want to give me something that will remove food from my mouth. Please get back to me quick. I want by next week, I will visit Rajan for a fake caesarean section which the baby won’t make it. It will look like the baby didn’t survive and I will make another set of money from that and cut your share out for you. I will be driving down to meet you so that we can get a perfect pregnant bump size for me…
She continued her call for another five minutes.
After the call ended she, took the fake pregnant bump from the bed and wore, she tightened it up to make it appear real but it was a bit loose for her.
Marina sighed angrily, she got dressed took her car key and left.

Cole couldn’t sit still, he stood and began to pace up and down.
He punched the wall severally and despite the pain, he was too hurt to feel it.
He kicked the table, the glass cups on the table shattered into pieces.
Madam Gold was seated too, she crossed her legs on a stool and continue wiggling her toes.
She moved her mouth sadly, clapped her hands together.
Marina sat on the chair crying, she was crying heavily.
Lizbeth, the help in the house was trying to console her but Marina loud cry could be heard even in the street. She refused to be consoled.
“Leave me let me die…I want to die with my baby. After everything I suffered, everything I went through because of that pregnancy. After all the insult I collected I’m left without a child. No… this can’t be happening…it can’t. Where did I go wrong, how could this happen to us. I know how much everyone looked forward to his arrival. Even his father and grandmother were fully ready to meet the baby…but I was greeted with disappointment. The doctor said he couldn’t make it and the hospital quickly buried him. I’m lost of words…how do I start again. This life is not fair…
She stylishly looked at madam Gold who continued wiggling her toe while Cole kept pacing up and down like a crazy person.
She increased her cry and even added screamed to it.
Madam Gold spoke.
“Let’s all calm down please, Marina dear, stop hitting yourself hard…is not your fault. You and Coleman will have another baby… this is not the end of the world. Another child will be born. For the fact that you got pregnant for my son, carried the pregnancy full term and even more passed the supposed delivery date, you were able to put to birth, don’t cry because you will conceive again. you may even have twins the second time. Coleman, my dear son calm down. I know it hurt because of your time, finance and whole effort you put into making sure your son is born healthy. I totally understand your pain… I’m also in pain like everyone of you. It hurt because I looked forward to welcoming my grandson too. Let’s try and move pass this, give yourselves time… maybe a month or two before trying for another baby. This time around we will be more careful than ever…
Marina smiled inwardly.
She turned to Madam Gold and said while still sobbing.
“Thank you madam Gold for your encouragement. I feel strengthened already. It really hurt, my heart is shattered in pieces. After carrying pregnancy for almost a year and it ended in premium tears…I don’t know how to cry. I’m broken.. really. Your kind words restrengthened me again. I will try and hope for the better days and…
“After draining me of almost everything I had with the pregnancy…” Cole interrupted her.
“….How will I get the money to foot the bills in your second pregnancy. well, if I happen to take it as an option, how do i handle your extravagant lifestyle? Your first pregnancy left me almost broke Marina, how will the second one look like…as much as I want to try again, I want all the sweat I poured into you to pay off…by giving me a child but I don’t have such money like the first one….I don’t.
Marina sat properly on a chair to face Cole.
“Carrying a pregnancy is not as easy as it appears Cole. I’m sorry that things turned out this way, is never my making and you are not the only one hurting here… I’m deeply hurt too. But I’m willing to give nature another chance…I really do want to give you a child Cole, I’m ready to cut down my cost…yes. I’m a very loving and considerate person. I will make sure you don’t spend like the first…I promise. But, you should be aware that I’m not a baby making factory. If we’re lucky I will conceive early but if we’re not lucky it will come at a later end but you have to be patient Cole…
Madam Gold cleared her voice and said.
“What if all of this that happened is caused by Florence? I threw in the suggestion the last time but Coleman said is not possible. Looking at it all over again, I think Florence may have a hand in it. She may be the one behind all of this misfortune. Coleman I think you should properly divorce her, we don’t need her. She can’t get pregnant, she can’t even satisfy you in bed, give you different sex styles like Marina does. Is only to cook and clean that she is good at, nothing else. Did you remember the way she angrily came back to pack all her food, including the one we were eating.. she carried it all away. She disrespected me and embarrassed us all with food. Florence is capable of anything, I wonder why you underated her…thinking she can’t hurt a fly. I madam Gold knows what a person is capable off when I set my eyes on them. Florence is a scorpion, she will stunk you and pretend like she did nothing. if Marina becomes pregnant again, keep it away from the public hearing… Florence must not know about it.
Marina almost laughed out, she finally got hold of somebody to channels the blame, all thanks to madam Gold for mentioning Florence.
“You are very right madam Gold. Florence must be behind all of this. She probably went diabolic just to hurt us…and look, she finally succeeded. All this ladies with innocent face and attitude are filled with evil. I think Cole should complete the divorce plan. I wonder what is still keeping him, maybe he’s waiting for Florence to kill one of us before he do something. I will be her major target because she feels like I took her husband away from her. She succeeded in making me and Cole childless… this is not fair.
Cole began to see reasons with everything that his mother and fiancee was saying.

Florence left the office and was walking towards her car after the close of work when somebody accosted her from behind.
She turned and saw Cole.
Florence was a bit happy to see him, she thought within her that Cole has finally realized his mistake and has come to plead for her return. She won’t make it easy for him, she will have to be certain that Cole has actually repented for good.
“What are you doing here Cole…I thought I warned you to stay away from me?
After saying that she waited for his reply, hoping to hear a sincere apology this time.
“I’m here to warn you Florence, a serious warning you have to take very serious…
Florence was shocked. She wondered what he was talking about.
“What exactly are you talking about…
She asked him surprised
“You are pretending like you don’t know what I’m talking about right? Okay let me remind you that your evil plan and act towards me and Marina won’t work again… you succeeded the first time because we didn’t know but not again. I never knew that you are this evil…if not for my mother that opened my eyes to your prowess. Florence, so with all your churchy and nice attitude you are a witch… you are devil. But be warned, if anything happens to either me, Marina, my Mom or my baby again I will come for you. This is no threat…I will do as I say and even more.
He turned and started walking away, Florence’s phone was ringing continuesly but she didn’t bother to check the caller.
She stood for sometime and was about to turn and walk to her car which was few feets away when Cole suddenly turned back.
“….wait…wait. another thing I forgot to add is that I will be finalizing the divorce plans by month end. From the begining of next month you will hear from me concerning that. We will meet in Court for proper signing and other documentation. I don’t want to ever have anything to do with you. You’re nothing but a curse to me. after the divorce I will finally be free to marry Marina. What you have not been able to do in years Marina has done within a short period. Aside loosing our baby to your crafty art Marina gives it to me back to back in the bedroom. She knows all the styles, both the cat, sharkky, doggy and many other bedroom styles. She invited her friend twice for threesome and it was awesome. Unlike you, anytime I want to practice different styles with you, it will appear like I’m punishing you or putting a knife to your throat. You are always boring in bed. Even if I didn’t place you on pregnancy pills you would not have been able to conceive. I can bet you that you are probably barren and all those things contributed to your bitterness. I won’t fold my hands and watch you destroy me. I will destroy you first. Wait to hear from me by next month concerning the divorce… You have bitten more than you can chew…
He turned and started walking away, Florence stood watching him leave.
Her phone was ringing again but she didn’t bother to check who was calling.
After she was certain that Cole wasn’t going to turn back again, she walked to her car.
she did not bother driving away immediately, she sat alone and tries to understand everything that Cole said to her.
Florence suddenly broke down and began to cry.
She allowed tears to flow down without making any effort to stop it.
She placed her head on the car steering wheel and continued sobbing bitterly.
Her phone rang twice again she didn’t check the caller as she remain in her devasting state.
She has been crying for almost an hour and didn’t feel like going home.
Her voice was patched, her eyes red and swollen from crying.
As the phone rang the third time she picked up.
It was Maxwell
“Hello Floz, how are you and how was work today…?
“Fine Max, why the continuous call…is there any problem?
Florence asked impatiently.
Maxwell was taken a bit back with the question.
He noticed her unusual harsh tone, it sounds dry and angry.
He assumed it could be work stress.
“There’s no problem Floz, I came down to your house and found out that you aren’t back from work yet…
Florence quickly cut in before Maxwell could finish.
“You went over to my house without informing me? Who does that…no one. Before you go to people’s house you call them first to let them know of your coming. Who do you think you are? You have no right to come to my place without my knowledge Max. Go home, I’m not in the mood to see anyone… especially you. Next time Max, you call me first.
Maxwell knew that all wasn’t well, Florence was so harsh and angry which is unlike her.
He didn’t take any of what she said to heart.
“I’m sorry Floz, you told me last week that you will like to taste Japanese chicken curry pavatin. well, I made it today, personally for you. I called you while still at home to inform you first, like an hour ago but you didn’t answer the call which was why I decided to drive down to check you at your end. My apologies for not waiting for your reply before coming… Maybe, I will just go back home then…
Maxwell waited for a reply but she didn’t say anything.
He ended the call. He couldn’t fathom what exactly was the problem with Florence but he was determined to respect her privacy.
Maybe is better he leave her alone for sometime.
He drove back to his place.
After two hours the door bell rang. He wondered who was knocking, he checked the time and realized is almost 9pm.
He wasn’t expecting anyone, who could be at the door that the security allowed inside the compound without calling him through the intercom first.
He went straight to the door and opened up.
He was surprised to see Florence staring straight into his face.
She has swollen red eyes and looked so pale.
“I…I… did not want to stay alone tonight. Also did not want to go over to Susan’s place to avoid further interrogation. I…wan..
Maxwell left the way for her to come in.
“You’ve been crying? You don’t need to explain anything… please come inside…
BEING MRS SPENCE Episode 13 by Amah’s Heart
He showed her the room that she will be spending the night.
She thanked him as he closed the door behind her and walked away.
After few minutes there was a knock on the door. Florence opened the door and saw Bianca, the housekeeper.
she stood smiling with some folded materials in her hand.
“Sorry to disturb you ma’am, Mr Max said i should give all this to you. Check for a perfect night wear that suits you. clean towels are included also.
Florence thanked her before collecting the materials.
She took the clothes to the bed, selected a cuddly night wear that smells of Maxwell fine fragrance.
She put the clothe to her nose and inhaled with her eyes closed.
She placed it on her chest and wrapped her hands around it.
The night wear was unique, and cuddly. Is nothing close to her usual pjamas or those sexy nighty that Cole usually buys for her.
This particular one was special.
Florence separated it from the rest, she put away the others before going to have her bath.
She was very eager to wear the nighty, it has a small inner before the overall robe that covers up the body.
It was so warm and inviting.
Maxwell was waiting downstairs, he kept looking up the stairs, hoping she will come down for dinner.
But after 30minutes and he didn’t see her, he thought of going over to knock on her door.
As he took few steps, he changed his mind and turned back.
“She probably needs rest… Let me leave her to be.
He said to himself. He turned off the television and was about going to bed when he heard her room door opening and closing.
He waited and smile as he saw her coming in a beautiful night wear.
“Flox, I almost thought you were asleep and do not need to be disturbed. My believe is that you have gone to bed already…
Florence smiled and replied.
“You wanted me to sleep in an empty stomach? Is that the way you treat your visitor… that’s so unfair. What of that food you specially made for me, my Japanese pavatin or palliative. Can’t remember the full name. Have you finished it…?
Maxwell laughed out before saying.
“Is called Japanese chicken curry pavatin and is still available and specially waiting for you. Sit here let me take the honor of serving you tonight. I will go and warm it up a little, is more enjoyable that way.
Florence sat on the dining and within few minutes Maxwell served her and she began to eat.
“Oh my goodness, Max… this is really delicious. Wow, what are the ingredients and how did you prepared this. The taste is absolutely great. I’m definitely making it ones I return back to my side.
Maxwell told her everything she needed to know about the food and even promise to prepare it again in her presence.
Florence ate up the full plate. She made attempt to pack the plate but Maxwell stopped her.
“Let me bring the remaining one for you… I’m sorry I didn’t make it much since is for you alone but I will do better next time..
“I’m so fed right now. I know I don’t supposed to eat this much… at this time of the night but I couldn’t help but finish it. Max, if I stay here one months I will definitely fat up…
Max smile as he cleared the table. When he retuned back, he sat beside her.
“Do you want to talk about what happened earlier that made you react the way you did. What was it that broke you down today Flox? If you don’t feel like sharing then is fine by me alright?…
Florence told him what happened and apologiesed for how she reacted.
Maxwell was a good listener, he took her hand into his and reassured her that all will be well soon before releasing her hand.
They talked about other things, crack jokes and laughed.
Florence told him that she will like to leave early so that she can get some clean clothes for office but Maxwell asked her not to worry about that, he will sort it out.
They continued talking as the night wears on.
They later paused, stared closely at each other without words.
Maxwell looked away to the woodart wall clock.
Florence followed his gaze.
“Is late, this is 11:23pm. I guess is time for you to go to bed since you will be going to the office tomorrow. Except you want to take a day off tomorrow and rest, I will pay you for the off day. But if you have some important office work to tidy up tomorrow… then is okay…”Maxwell said.
He looked at her again like he had something troubling his mind.
Florence stood.
“You’re right, is late. I need to go to bed now. I have to be at work tomorrow, I can’t afford to loose the high praises and recommendation that I have been getting at work. I’m strongly believing for more appraisal and not a scold. During the early time of my marriage crisis, I had a serious rough time, even got two weeks suspension at work. I’m happy that I have been able to overcome all of that. I want it to get more better…
She started walking towards her room, Maxwell followed her behind silently.
As they got closer to her door, he turned to her and said.
“Flox, I…I had a lot on my mind I want to say but, I don’t want you to feel like I’m taking advantage of you or the fact that you are at my place. I…uhmm.. never mind. Goodnight Flox…
He tries to walk away but Florence stopped him.
Florence wondered what exactly was bothering him so much that he can’t say.
She decided not to give it much thought.
“Max, I appreciate everything you have been doing for me. Thanks for the delicious pavatin, thanks for accommodating me tonight and for this coozy night wear, I love it. Goodnight… Max.
Maxwell did not reply or say anything. Florence was about opening the door when Maxwell intercepted her.
He gently drew her into his body and planted a kiss on her lip at first before kissing her intensively.
Florence broke free from him and slapped him.
Maxwell placed a hand on his cheek shocked.
His heart was panting, he bite his lips to suppress his raging emotions.
“What exactly are you trying to do Max? Can’t you see that I’m a married woman, I’m still married to Coleman. Isn’t my wedding ring glaring enough in your eyes. You need to respect the fact that I’m still Mrs Spence. Why are men like this? Always taking advantage of a vulnerable ladies. She opened her door and walked in, ignoring Maxwell plea.
Maxwell punched the wall severally, he combed his hand into his hair wondering what he just did.
He couldn’t walk to his room, he was so beaten. he wish Florence will listen to him. he stood outside the door and began speaking to her.

He combed his hand into his hair again as no reply came from Florence.
As he turned and was about walking away, he suddenly heard the door opening.

Maxwell blinked severally to be certain of what Florence was saying.
She pushed him forward and closed the door.
She pulled off the nighty overall jacket, dropped it on the ground removed her wedding ring for the first time and put it on a dresser.
Florence went to a confused Maxwell who stood watching her
She kissed him but Maxwell didn’t respond.
He gently pulled her away from him and asked
“Flox, are you really sure of this? Just few minutes ago you were bashing and cursing me for kissing you, I don’t understand…
She stepped away from him and said.
“If you truly love me Max, then stop talking and asking too much questions. Let’s do this. I just realized that I have actually been married to myself for over a year now, is time for me to move on too.
She kissed Maxwell again, this time he responded but not so well.
She gently pushed him to the bed, mount on top of him and continued kissing.

Cole dropped the phone, sat hard on the bed and continue staring at the locked wardrobe.
He just finished receiving a call from his bank.
He took a loan three months ago and has not paid in anything like he promised to do. But with the new decision he took it will favor everybody.
He was also indebted in his office, he asked for five months advance salary but his company told him that such act is not part of their policy but what they can do for him is to give him a loan which will be deducted from his monthly salary.
The company loan wasn’t much which was why he decided to contact his bank.
A month ago he got involved with some fraudulent act in his company.
He supplied laboratory stocks to one big firm and did not remit the money that he was supposed to pay back to his company.
He prays that his company won’t find out.
Since Marina told him last month that she was pregnant again, he did not want any mistake at all like the first.
Is been three months already that the first pregnancy didn’t happen as planned.
They have been trying to conceive again.
Marina who promised to cut down her cost of expenses didn’t keep to her plans.
She said there’s a certain drugs, recommended by her doctor which she needs to be taken in other to quickly conceive.
She mentioned the huge amount for the drugs and it was seriously huge.
Cole was able to get the money and give to her.
Marina came up with another plan.
She told him that if he really wants her and the baby alive, safe and far away from Florence evil eyes then he should look for money and relocate her abroad until the baby is born.
She continued pressurizing Cole until he finally agreed.
He has been able to gather the agreed amount and gave all the money to Marina for peace to reign.
She assuredly him that she was walking on getting her visa, flight ticket, accommodation abroad and every other necessary thing with the money he gave her.
While Cole continue looking for a way to pay up his accumulated debt.
Since he couldn’t remit any money back to the bank, he decided to put his house on a collateral.

There is no other option than what he did.
Marina is almost two months pregnant, he seriously doesn’t want to take another risk.
He even asked her to reduce her bedroom action so that it won’t affect the baby.
By next month end, she will be flying abroad.
Ones she is gone, he will be able to see if he can recover from all the debts on his neck.
It was last month he served Florence a divorce letter, it has not been finalized yet.
The court will finalize it by next month.
Florence said she doesn’t want anything from him as a divorce settlement.
Cole noticed she was not looking happy nor sad.
She looks rather unpredictable.
Cole was happy when Florence said she doesn’t want anything from him. She only wish for the divorce to be finalize so that she can move ahead with her life.
Florence made it very easy for him, different from what Cole thought.
Lizbeth reminded Cole in the morning that they were running low on groceries and fruits for Marina’s smoothy, which she enjoys fresh.
Lizbeth usually prepares it fresh for her every day.
Cole had some money somewhere, which he kept away because of Marina.
Is mainly for Lizbeth monthly pay and the entire household expenses.
He could not find it where he kept it, he scattered his wardrobe but couldn’t find it.
Missing money was becoming a ritual in his house and there is no other person that will take it if not Marina
If he goes to ask Marina she will turn it into a fight.
But is either Marina took the money again despite all he has been giving her or the money develop wings and fly out.
Is a good thing that Marina was out.
Her wardrobe which belongs to Florence is always on lock.
He has never put much thought into the locking of wardrobe with padlock.
But looking at it again, questions crossed through his mind.
why will Marina be padlocking her wardrobe.
Florence has never done that.
What is she hidding. Even if she doesn’t want him meddling in her stuffs all she needs to do is say so.
Maybe she locked it because of Lizbeth or whatever her reasons maybe.
He needs to find his money so that he can give to Lizbeth to buy food stuffs and other household items and to know what Marina is always sneaking around and hidding.
Cole touched the padlock, he studied it for long and knew he needed a strong harmer to break it.
He will have to deal with Marina’s trouble later but she can’t continue stealing his money, locking her wardrobe as if he is the thief.
If he is spending so much on her, she needs to be transparent and grateful too.
Cole ran to his gym house, collected some tools that he will use to open the lock.
He ran back to the room to dismantle the lock.
Is a good thing that Marina is not around, she has told Cole she want to personally handle her traveling stuffs alone.
She mentioned that she was called upon for an interview concerning her traveling and she have been gone since morning.
He has enough time to break into her safe.
