Kehide was seen in an open office, quite big and well luminated, a laptop system was in front of him. He sat on a spinning chair and spinned it around with his left hands on his jaws and the right hand hitting the table often
”No.. No.. This can’t be happening to me, I can’t loose this contract” Kehinde said to himself
”This is a multi-billion naira contract that I can’t miss to anyone” He said again and stood up walking around the office
”I have never missed any contract before, why this one??” He said with his face up looking at the ceiling
”The worse of it is that I don’t know who is in charge of the contract submission!!! Jeez..” He lamented in his heart. Suddenly, his office door opened and his secretary walked in
”Good day Sir” Sonia, his secretary greeted
”What is it!!” He asked her with a harsh voice not even reciprocating her greeting
”Erhmm.. Sorry Sir but you have a call Sir” Sonia said with a skipped mind
”I don’t have the time for any calls, take that out!!” He ordered
”But Sir.. It’s a…” Sonia tried to explain
”I said get out!!” Kehinde barked at her and she left with a moody face..
”Gosh!!” He exclaimed and went back to his sit. Few minutes later, his phone rang. He looked at it and it was an unknown number. He hissed and dropped the phone but the number kept on calling, so he picked it up
”Hey handsome” was the first thing he heard
”Who is this?” he asked
”Don’t tell me you haven’t saved my number” The lady voice said again
”Sorry, I am not in the mood of kiddings now, tell me who you are” Kehinde said with a loud voice
”Ohh.. Sorry, It’s Betty” Betty said and Kehinde lowered his voice
”Ooh.. Betty, how are you?” He asked
”I’m fine” Betty said from the phone
”What was it about my call last night” Betty asked on the phone
”You shouldn’t have called by such a time. My wife was there with me” Kehinde said
”Ooh.. I see. Sorry about that” Betty said but before Kehinde could say anything else, the phone hung up.
”Hello.. Hello” Kehinde said severally and kept the phone when he found out that it was disconnected.. He heaved a sigh of relief and picked up his office cell phone
”Hello Sonia.. Kindly come to my office now” Kehinde said with a soft voice. In a jiffy, Sonia walked in slowly and stood respectfully before Kehinde
”I sorry for how I talked to you” Kehinde said
”It’s alright Sir” Sonia said with a little smile
”Who did you say was calling me?” Kehinde asked
”It was a client Sir. He was saying something about a contract” Sonia said
”Serious!!” Kehinde said with an interested mood
”Yes Sir” Sonia said
”Alright, create a call to the client and transmit it to my device” Kehinde said to her and she left.
”God please, let this be a good one” Kehinde prayed holding his device steadily looking at it.
Immediately the phone rang, he picked it up
”Hello” He said
”Good day” He added
”Abeg stop that greeting jare” He heard from the phone and immediately his mind recollected the owner of the voice
”Lance??” He called and hissed
”Yes bro.. It’s me” Lance said
”Na thunder go fire you” Kehinde insulted him jokingly
”But my secretary said it was a client, don’t you have my number again??” Kehinde asked
”Yes, the thunder go follow visit you. I am a Client, I’m also interested in the contract” Lance said
”You are joking right?” Kehinde asked
”No.. Who can see such and won’t give in to it” Lance asked Kehinde
”Really, it’s killing me” Kehinde said
”It shouldn’t kill you” Lance said
”Why?” Kehinde asked
”I learnt your father is in charge of signing it..” Lance said
”What!!!!!” Kehinde exclaimed jumping up from his chair..

Clara was walking out of her room as she met Queency running down the staircase hurriedly. Unknowingly, Queency hit her and stopped
”Jeez.. What the hell do you think you just did?” Clara asked looking angry
”I’m so sorry dear.. I’m really sorry” Queency pleaded with Clara but she was taking it too harsh with Queency.. Just then, Abigail ran up
”Ah.. Ah.. Madam, she don beg you nah, why you still dey parade the matter?” Abigail said
”And who asked you to talk” Clara disrespectfully said to Abigail. On hearing the noises, Betty who was at home came out
”What’s going on here??” Betty asked and Queency explained to her
”Babe, it’s alright nah, she has pleaded” Betty still reasoned with Clara
”Will her plea give me another dress.. For God’s sake I’m running for a show now” Clara said and Betty being a mouth ranting type took an insult challenge with Clara.. Gradually, the insult died down and everyone went their different ways with anger in hearts. Adesua heard everything from her room and shook her head.
”Ohoo.. Madam show” Abigail said walking to the gate to tell Musa the recent news in the Complex..

**That Night**
Adesua never allowed Kehinde to rest as she told Kehinde everything that happened in the complex that afternoon
”Seriously?” Kehinde asked
”I’m not lying dear. It’s the kind of ladies you want to mingle with” Adesua said and laughed at Kehinde
”Stop that Adesua” Kehinde said
”Ooh.. You have started calling me by names, isn’t it?” Adesua asked
”I’m sorry, but I’m really confused and angry here” Kehinde said and Adesua saw the seriousness in Kehinde’s face
”Please sit down” Adesua said dragging Kehinde to the chair
”Do you know the contract I told you about” Kehinde asked Adesua
”Yes dear, what about it, did you loose it?” Adesua asked with a more serious face
”No.. Neither from that.. My dad is the one in charge of releasing it” Kehinde said
”What??!” Adesua exclaimed
”I’m much more surprised than you are” Kehinde said tapping his leg on the ground
”And he hasn’t relleased it to you” Adesua said
”I just can’t tell” Kehinde said
”Or maybe he does not know you are among the competitors” Adesua said
”How can’t he know the name of the company he handed over to me” Kehinde said and Adesua was more worried
”More still, I think you should call him” Adesua said
” Yes, that’s a good idea. Let me call him immediately” Kehinde said and slipped out his phone but Adesua held him
”No sweetheart.. Don’t call him now” Adesua said
”Why?” Kehinde asked
”It’s late already” Adesua said
”My dad does not sleep early” Kehinde insisted
”You just came back and you are confused now. Just relax, take your food, sleep and tomorrow you will call him” Adesua suggested and Kehinde saw some meaning in her reasoning. Adesua smiled and laind her head on his shoulders
”Now, let’s go and have dinner” Adesua said to Kehinde and dragged him to the dinning table..

”Alhaji, what was the meaning of that?” Queency said to Alhaji Dangida as she sat on his bed in his room
”Meaning of what?” Dangida asked
”So, I’m no longer enough for you eeh” Queency said
”You have started to carry small small girls about” Queency complained
”C’mon girl. Walahi!! I can’t stay and be waiting for you all the time.. Mr. G is an active man” Dangida said to Queency
”So, that was why?” Queency asked
”Of course, Kawaaii! You are not my wife for God sake” Dangida said to Queency

”Of course” Dangida said and Queency angrily stood up to leave
”Kai!! Where are you going?” Dangoda asked Queency
”You have preferred others to me, so I am going” Queency said with an angry face
”’I’m sorry my dear, you know I can’t afford loosing you” Dangida said to Queency
”Now promise me you will never see anyone else” Queency said
”Walahi!! Allah!! I swear” Dangida said and Queency smiled
”An old man like you” Queency said rubbing Dangida’s chest

”Good Morning Mr. Ayo” Mr. Kole greeted as he ran down the staircase of his house with a briefcase wearing an agbada
”Yes, when are you sending her” He asked
”Alright.. Today is good” Mr. Kole said
”I will be waiting” He concluded the call and rushed down
”I’m off my dear” He said to his wife who sat on the couch watching movies but she said nothing
”I said I am off” Kehinde said with a high voice but she still didn’t reply
”I’m talking to you” Mr. Kole said touching her
”Why will I talk to you, when you prefer your work to your wife.. Go out as early as 6 am and comes back by 7 pm not knowing the welfare of your wife” Mrs. Kole said to him angrily
”But I make sure you lack nothing” Mr. Kole said
”If I can recall, I married you not your money” Mrs. Kole said
”My dear, I understand, but I have to..” Mr. Kole tried to explain
”You understand nothing!!”? Mrs. Kole said and hissed
”Have a nice day” She said and walked upstairs. Mr. Kole looked at her as she walked upstairs..
”Suit yourself” He said and left.
”Adamu, open the gate” Mr. Kole shouted and Adamu opened the gate. Mrs. Kole watched him through the window as he drove out and she sighed..

IN MR. KOLE’S OFFICE
Mr. Kole sat waiting for a call from Mr. Ayo. Just then, Anita walked in wearing a short white gown
”Good morning Sir” She greeted
”How are you Sonia” He asked
”I’m very fine Sir” Sonia said and walked closer to Mr. Kole. She walked to his chair and began to Caress him but Mr. Kole stopped her
”I’m not in the mood of that” Mr. Kole said
”What is the meaning of that?” Anita asked him
”I’m not in the mood of that” Mr. Kole said again
”Why?” Anita asked
”Just leave my office” Mr. Kole said but Anita tried romancing him
”I said leave!!” Mr. Kole barked at her
”Fine!” Anita said and angrily left the office..

Mr. Kole breathed heavily in a little anger as Anita walked out of the office. On getting to the door, Anita stopped and looked at Mr. Kole, she hissed and left finally
”Gosh!!” Mr. Kole exclaimed
”What sort of a girl is this??” He asked himself and relaxed a bit.
**FEW MINUTES LATER**
The transmitter phone of Mr. Kole rang and he picked it up
”Hello Sir, A lady is here to see you” Anita’s voice said from the transmitter
”Alright, Let her in” Mr. Kole said and dropped the phone. In the twinkle of an eye, Natasha walked in dressed decently in a black suit and skirt
”Good day Sir” Natasha said
”Good day my dear” Mr. Kole replied with a smile
”Please sit down” Mr. Kole added and Natasha sat down
”I called you here because my P.A is no longer working here” Mr. Kole began
”I have spoken with your Manager and her released you to me for a year. And such hardworking people like you is what I want” Mr. Kole said
”Thank you Sir. At first I appreciate you for signing that contract for my Manager Sir” Natasha said
”Noo.. It’s nothing my dear” Mr. Kole added.. Just then his phone rang.
”Please, excuse me” He said and brought out the phone to see that it was Kehinde
”Hello Son” He said placing the phone on his ear
”Yes, that’s true” Mr. Kole replied to Kehinde’s unheard voice
”Actually, I am in a meeting now, why not call me later or come over to Abuja let’s talk about it” Mr. Kole said
”Alright” He concluded and hung up the phone..
”Sorry my dear, as from now, you are going to be my P.A” Mr. Kole said and Natasha smiled
”Thank you Sir” Natasha said and Mr. Kole called his secreatry to come in immediately. Anita walked in brightening her face a bit
”Yes, Anita. This is my new P.A” Mr. Kole said
”What!!!??” Anita exclaimed in shock but comported herself immediately
”What is what??” Mr. Kole asked as both Him and Natasha were surprised at the exclaim
”Nothing Sir, just that she fits as I thought” Anita covered up
”Now, you have to give her everything she needs” Mr. Kole ordered Anita
”Ok Sir” Anita said
”You can go now” Mr. Kole said and Anita sluggishly left often turning about to look at Natasha and Mr. Kole
”It’s nice having you here” Mr. Kole shook hands with Natasha and She stood up in smiles following Anita..

”Seriously, I can no longer take this” Mrs. Kole said to herself sitting on the couch
”I have not gotten the touch of a man for so many years now” She added
”My husband doesn’t even care..” She said and hissed. She was really lost in thoughts but the hand touch of Mr. Ayodele (Adesua’s Father) brought her mind back and she stood up immediately
”Oooh.. Ayodele. You are welcome” Mrs. Kole said pretending
”My dear, what is the matter. What is wrong?” Mr. Ayodele asked her
”Nothing” Mrs. Kole tried covering up
”But I knocked for like eternity before I decided to walk in” Mr. Ayodele said
”Ehee.. I didn’t know. Sorry” Mrs. Kole said
”What bothers you?” Mr. Ayodele asked
”Why not tell him and know if he will be of help” The conscience of Mrs. Kole adviced her
”He doesn’t need to know” The counter conscience said
”He is a widower and also needs what you need” Her conscience said as she starred at Mr. Ayodele..
”I am asking you” Mr. Ayodele said again and Mrs. Kole’s mood changed
”It’s my husband” She said
”Arr!! What did he do” Mr. Ayodele asked
”Since we gave birth to Kehinde, I have been living like a widow. He doesn’t touch me at all” Mrs. Kole said
”What??!” Mr. Ayodele exclaimed
”That’s too bad” Mr. Ayodele said and Mrs. Kole began to drop off tears
”I am a woman, I need to be cared for” Mrs. Kole said
”Don’t worry, I am here for you my dear” Mr. Ayodele said walking to the couch where Mrs. Kole sat. He wrapped his hands around her neck consoling her
”Haaa!!! Kole, leaving your wife all because of work” Mr. Ayodele said and shook his head. Mrs. Kole laid her head on his shoulders and so many things ran through her mind.
”It’s alright my dear. You need some rest now. Let me take you upstairs so that you can lay your head” Mr. Ayodele said and Mrs. Kole nodded her head positively. Mr. Ayodele helped her up, and slowly they walked upstairs.

”What is wrong with you Phina??” Betty barked at Phina
”You always feel like you are the boss here” Betty added looking directly at Phina. Queency tried calming them down but their voices was so high
”How dare you talk to me in such manner. I made you who you are today” Phina bragged
”And so God fucking what?” Betty rudely asked. Queency came in between them as they wanted to make it a fight
”This is just a simple case” Queency said
”Why did she have to embarass in front of the Senator?” Betty asked
”Betty!” Phina called
”I will deal with you” Phina added
”You can do nothing!” Betty bragged
”We shall see” Phina said as Queency tried to calm them down..
