CASSANDRA
CHAPTER 11
Please don't die on me. Please stay with me and don't let go Cassandra cried out trying to hold Ernest up and covering his wounds with her hands.
What did you do that for?Why do you have to stab him ? Jaxon asked the guy who had buried the knife by the side of Ernest’s stomach. Why do you want to complicate issues? Jaxon asked now dragging the guy on his shirt.

I’m sorry, I was trying to help you out sir..
I’m so sorry… The guy said lifting his two hands up.
Jaxon pushed him away and started pacing around rubbing his hand on his head thinking of what next to do.
It's the police...Your hands in the air everyone, said the first police that walked in pointing his gun towards Jaxon and other guys.
One of the guys tried to run, unknown to him. The police had already surrounded the area. He was caught immediately he got outside.
Ernest raised his right hand and wiped out the tears falling down from Cassandra's cheek. I love you with my life Cassy Ernest said slowly and coughed out blood. His hand fell from her face to the floor.
It all happened slowly in the sight of Cassandra as Ernest's hand left her cheek and fell freely to the floor. Cassandra cried out in pains like a baby.
George ran in immediately when he heard the sharp loud tears of Cassandra. The police had asked him to wait while they secure the place. He saw his friend in a pool of blood with a knife in his stomach.
You can't die...You can’t leave me here man… George said carrying Ernest with the help of a policeman.
While Jaxon and the other guys were arrested and taken away by the policemen.
"When Ernest had seen Cassandra being dragged by the two guys. He called George and told him what was going on. George asked him to follow the guys but never confront them, he told Ernest he will be going to get the police immediately. So Ernest kept updating George with their current location. When he got to the location, George reminded him again never to confront them because they may be armed. Ernest was drunken with the love he had for Cassandra that he couldn't stand her being molested in his presence".
They carried Ernest into the car and headed straight for the hospital. You’re a hero man, heroes don’t die. You went up against four men alone, you did it alone bro. So don’t you die on us now George said talking to Ernest trying to keep him conscious. While tears rolled down his cheeks.
Cassandra cried her eyes out blaming herself for everything that had happened. She can’t forgive herself if Ernest dies. She kept on looking back at Ernest who was battling for his life.
When they got to the hospital, Ernest was rushed quickly into the emergency ward. George was left outside with Cassandra. Cassandra took a seat, lifted her two legs and placed them on the chair. Then she cried uncontrollably praying for Ernest not to die while George paced around the hospital trying to be a man.
After a while, the doctor came out. Cassandra and George rushed to him and looking at him anxiously..How is my friend doctor? George asked the doctor…
By the grace of God, the knife has been removed and your friend is out of danger. But he has lost a lot of blood and will be needing blood transfusion as soon as possible. The doctor said and walked away...
Both Cassandra and George were willing to give their blood. They both were tested and it was George's blood that was compatible with that of Ernest.
The blood transfusion took place and within hours, the blood had flown from George to Ernest.
When the transfusion was over, George left to go eat something to regain his strength leaving Cassandra all alone with Ernest.
Cassandra kept staring at Ernest and lost all her words, and tears just rolled down her cheeks . Ernest tried to wipe her tears stretching out his arms. When he noticed a sharp pain. He brought back his hand and held it on the spot where he was stab. The pain came again, this time sharper. Ernest cried out in pains while Cassandra ran out to go alert the doctor.
Cassandra was asked to leave the room...
Few minutes later, George was back and surprised seeing Cassandra in the waiting passage standing and looking very worried. He asked her what happened and Cassandra explained to him how Ernest was crying in pains and holding the spot where he was stabbed.
I really pray everything is really okay, because Ernest's parents just called me. They said they have been calling Ernest's number and no one picked. Ernest's mother said she is having a bad feeling that everything is not well with her son. But I assured her that everything was okay. I told her Ernest lost his phone and I will visit Ernest so he can talk with her. George said with a worried face. Just then, the doctor came out wearing a sad look and walking towards George and Cassandra..
Doctor...Just tell me my friend is okay George said to the doctor looking at him anxiously as tears rolled down his cheeks and that of Cassandra.
