They saw Mr Okonkwo lying down in his chamber.that got them confused cause they really know what they saw,or is he trying to trick them.As they are about to got into their hut Okonkwo called them.
Mr Okonkwo asked them where they were coming from.knowing fully well that they saw him.the men lied that they were coming from the farm.they were dismissed. that when Mr Okonkwo knows that he must act fast to silence these men,either by buying their silent or taking their life.
But Mr Okonkwo didn’t know that the way he was thinking was also the way they were thinking.”who to strike first”.these men act fast by going to the oldest man and their village warrior and told them about it,they lay ambush for him and they cut him.they took away everything he has,and they killed him.
When they want to bury him the king told them not to, since he is from the river let them throw him inside the river so that he can be at peace.they all agreed, they threw him inside the river, they all went home.thinking that Okonkwo is dead without knowing that water is the source of life to marine life.
On one Eke market day Mr Okonkwo came out from the river with his ancient form.and lay curse on those men and the land of Isieke.the people in charge of the river (Eze nwanyi) got the message and took it to the king ,they made some sacrifice to appease the spirit of Okonkwo which he accepted but didn’t accept the sacrifice of those men.
Present life: One of those men was my Ancestors while Lucy was Mr Okonkwo marine daughter.since they didn’t allow Okonkwo to finish his work on earth I will help him to finish it for him.Am the one that inherit the Mistakes of my ancestors.Am now the Eze Nwoke in the land of Isieke Lucy is now my spiritual and physical wife.leaving together as one.
Based on the vow my Mom made..Before I became the chief priest of my land my dad told me….
My dad told me that,in anything that happen that I should be strong to face the challenges of life,that he knows that am still young to face this kind of challenges but I should be strong.
He said that when he was young his Dad told him about A man that place a curse on our family,but didn’t know that his wife has a role to play with it,now thay this curse has Turn to be a generational curse that am the only one that is in position to break it.so that I will be free from it.
I asked him how am I going to do it,he said I will have the knowledge when the time comes.that I should not allow LUCY to know about it, cause the curse was the thing that is holding I and Lucy together and wont want it to be broken,I greed.He took me to a place where our ancestors was buried and told them that they should look at me and see that am about to face the mistake’s they made in the past that they should look over me.
Present life: Lucy has been helping me in doing my job without knowing that am looking for a way to break myself out from her.One day I was coming from the forest where I went to get an anti witchcraft herbs.I saw one old man who told me to go fast that something is about to happen in my father’s compound.
I didn’t walk but I ran on getting to my compound behold who did I see? my dead Mom and her spiritual family.they have turn her mind against my Dad,so she came to finish the mission they sent her to do when she was younger.But my presence change everything cause she knew that if she wants to get my Dad she have to come through me.we had a verbal challenge they left.that when I knew that there is fire on the mountain.
I went back to my shrine and tell Lucy what her family did she was very angry with their actions.she traveled that night and came back in the morning,with a massage saying”prepare yourself cause a great war is about to fall in the land of Isieke.
