Temi felt pain as he saw tears drip out from Mirabel’s eyes. it even ached more knowing fully well he was responsible for it. But then, the thought of keeping Mirabel by the bay so as not to discover he was the sole culprit in charge of her despair unveiled and he knew how essential it would save their love if could.
“She said Dad explained it was the same person that shot Derrick. Temi I’m scared. Mom said dad explained that the same person will be after me and my sister anytime soon or could possibly has been on me a whole time and waiting for the right time to strike me..” Mirabel quivered out amidst fears and tears dripping.
“Honey honey..look at me.. No one! I mean no one is ever gonna take you away from me. Ok ?” Temi tried to coo her.

“Temi are you sure ? See i love you so much and dying like this will be so unfair. I just wana live many more years with you.. now that a killer is after me.. How am i supposed to live up to my dreams ?”
“I was even told the killer is closer to me” Mirabel sobbed out placing her head on Temi’s broad chest.
Temi relentlessly stroked her head harder. The temptation to reveal his real identity came tormenting. He tried to subdue the urge burning him to explain he was the killer. He wished to uncover all of his secrets to her so she could feel comfort from the baleful thoughts in her, however the aftermath consequence held his lips shut.

“Honey..,i swear with my life. I’m not gonna loose you now. Okay ?. I promise to protect you. I promise.” those were the only words his oral could mustered out, yet he meant every. He lifted Mirabel’s face to reave out the tears perched on her sullen face. After sapping her face with her hand, his eyes coveted her lips and with unrestrained force even from her, their lips clashed, devouring each other.
They were in the middle of the raptus when “Pom pom” a phone tone hitched their ecstasy. Temi broke away from the kiss at Mirabel’s insatiaty. He slithered the phone from his pocket to view the notification. It was message from an unknown sender. Temi smelt the oddness at hand as he posed a look glimpse look at Mirabel to caution her not to intrude on as he lurched forward to open the message.
Opening the message, Temi discovered it was a video file. He groped out his earphone on his back pocket and plugged it into his phone before pressing the play button. He knew it was yet another surprise waiting so he had succumbed himself not to flinch.

“Jeeezz!” Temi roared with bulgy eyes almost combusting out it their socket. As he stood watching the video of how he shot Derick at close range. The video was so unclutter to the point that it revealed his supposed masked face. Temi didn’t remember unmasking his face at the point of his operation, but here he was in the video shooting with uncloaked identity.
“Temi.. what’s it the matter”? Mirabel asked as she walked towards him in her confound state. She knew for certainty that something was not right somewhere with Temi, but she wasn’t ready to probe further in other not to peek his annoyance.
“No no nothing dear” Temi stuttered pelting his phone to the settee in a way that spoke to Mirabel that nothing was wrong.

“Ok baby.. Just wana tell you that you can always count on me. I love u so much Temi” Mirabel murmured curving out a smile though she still was not satisfied though. To her loosing Temi was like trying to survive to in hell, so she had better abstained from any measures that could get him narked.
“honey..i will be fine.emm i’m fine” he said capping her glum face on his two hands. Looking straight into her eyes, he saw true love. But was hurt knowing how bad he was reciprocating it lies, and the man he had become.

Phone beeped chased out the passion in their eyes once again. Temi quickly loped to the settee he dumped his phone previously to pick it up. This time it was a phone call with Tunde’s number dazzling on the screen.
“Escuse me dear ?” Temi gestured at Mirabel as he strutted out of the room in other to save Mirabel from eavesdropping on his converse.
“Hello father” Temi said rather calmly.
“Boy, your folly act today was just a precedent of our plans. The plan is to exterminate the pests before their father. I want that bastard to feel the pain of loosing all his children don’t you get you little scumbag ?” Tunde raged.
“Father i’m sorry. I only went there to save a friend.” Temi muttered,nagging his head on how his father got to know his movement. He had tried to secure his escape plan for Lance to secrecy from anyone.

Now on earth could this man know about it ?? Temi was thinking when it something hit him to remembrance. His foster father had the camera. The camera Nuella torn out from him had been his father handiwork. Definitely he was the one who sent the video too. So he had been on his tail for long ?
“OHH! so you called than pesky son of a B***h a friend.. Someone on bent to see you fall ? But boy! Why are you this fallible ? Why are you getting soft day after day ? I groomed you up to be brutal and dangerous not a life saver!” Tunde held his talk a little like some on mull of what next to say. “Now that you intend going against our plan.,i think i should pass this out to you.” He paused again.

“Mirabel Olabanji must be dead in 24 hours time!” You are to eliminate her before this time tomorrow. Boy don’t dare me this time! And for that video you got, You wouldn’t want her know you kill her step brother and also shot her father! So kill her before she knows.” Tunde grunted out calmly but otherwise irritating in Dami’s ear. Temi wanted to talk his foster father to a challenge but he later dismissed the thought. Knowing fully well that talking him to challenge is like ant threatening an elephant. He knew him well! He knew his foster father was as venomous as a viper. Even his charisma didn’t match up wit him.
“Just think you should know that Dr.Banji and his friend are not dead yet. Your folly and amateurishness had them escaped death. So you’ve got to give them another bloody visit” Tunde uttered before dropping the call. He didn’t need Temi’s reply or response because he had no right to one. As a matter of fact, him only had the final say.
“Temi.. ” Mirabel drawled out with a forlorn. Something was wrong with Temi. This of his face edging out a sulky look every now and then got her more worried.

” Yes s dear” He answered stiffening a tear by blinking his eyelashes. Every word his foster father churned out to him made his heart ached. How would he kill the love his life ? He thought. All of him was completely wrecked apart by his vicious father’s threatening.
Well, there was only one toilsome way to escape his father’s wrath and liberate his loved one, Mirabel.
“What’s making you unhappy”
“See honey, have got alot to tell you. Have got a confession to make but just do me a favour of escaping with me for your life now. Our life actually.. Honey.. it’s true a killer is on loose to get you. Is true someone is destined to exterminate everybody in your family including you.. Is true a doom is out there to hunt you down and take you away from me.. But honey..i can save you from all of this ..plss let me help you ..pls .i ”
“Wha a t are you saying.. Whha at do you mean ?”Mirabel threw a suspicious stare at Temi.

Temi determined to unleash the truth and uncover his true identity as someone destined to kill her and all her family member. Apart from slaking the urge to do so, he assumed that was the only way to save her from the pending doom. At this point, he didn’t mind misplacing his life just to save hers
“Mirabel i’m sorry to to to say this. But i i i am the …” Temi intended to say when “POW! POW!!” 2 shot from a ghost shooter blared out. Temi felt hot blistering pain piercing through his back. Immediately his eyes dimmed and slumped down.
“Teeeemmmmii NOOO” Mirabel yelled out grasping and swaying his unconscious body on the floor while blood seeped out of his back like spring of water.

Mirabel raised her head to see a gent with a rimmed sunglass shrouding the larger part of his face strutting towards them. She watched with horror in her eyes as the villainous looking gent gave Temi two more shot on his knee. Before sliding his phone, punched on the keypads and made a call.
“Hello madam.. This Lukeman. I got the package. Should i erase him straightaway or bundle him over “?
“Kill him” Racheal spoke from the other end.
