CHAPTER 9
After much cry from Ryan, Kennedy who sought to teach his wife a lesson decided to go back to his house with his kids. On getting to his house, he found out there was no one inside. The doors were left open.
He became worried and called his wife on phone. Tracy saw her husband's call and was extremely happy. She picked the call with tears of Joy.
Kennedy asked her where she left the house open and went to. Tracy told him she was in the hospital because mark got involved in a motorcycle accident. She told him the name of the hospital. Kennedy told her he will be coming to meet her shortly. Kennedy left the kids at home and left for the hospital.
Dorathy hearing Kennedy came back wasn't happy. She decided she was going to tell him things about his wife that will make him leave her for good.
It took a few minutes and Kennedy walked in. Tracy hugged him tightly and apologized dearly. Kennedy didn't utter a word, he just wanted to see how mark was feeling.
Tracy decided to go buy what the doctor had told her earlier to buy. Immediately she left , Dorathy came closer to Kennedy.
I want to tell you something about your wife you need to know sir, Dorathy said looking at Kennedy.What is it Kennedy asked being inquisitive.
UmmmhhhTracy always maltreat Dera.
Do you know that Dera sleeps in the wooden storage outside the house?
Kennedy opened his eyes in awe but didn’t utter any word.
Not only that Dorathy continued, Dera has not been going to school because Tracy always send her to go sell oranges anytime you travel. I believe Tracy knows about the sudden disappearance of Dera ..
Dorathy.... Tracy called out...
Tracy had forgotten her purse on the bed. She came back to take it and saw her friend talking to her husband. She wanted to know what they were talking about so she decided to eavesdrop.
Dorathy got startled when she turned and saw Tracy standing right behind her.Honey….
Peter called out coming closer to doctor Eunice. You said Dera met with her mother today?
How is it possible?How did you still recognize her mother after so many years?
What did she come to do in the hospital?
How did they actually meet?
Or you’ve been seeing her all these while? Peter asked looking at his wife expecting an answer.
After I found out that the man was not her husband but her brother in-law, I asked questions and also discovered that the lady is wife to a multimillionaire. Yet she was very humble and so loving. But I couldn't find out actually why her brother in-law did that to her through me.
She visits the hospital once in a while paying off the debts of the poor. I deeply regret what I did to her. That's why tears rolled down my eyes the day I found out Dera had come back to this city. This world is really a small place. But Honey..
I am still afraid of the man who had threatened me. What if he finds out that I never killed Dera?
Won't he come for me? What should I really do?
After thinking for a while with his hand on his forehead, let’s keep her Peter said coming close and consoling his wife. We don’t have any child of our own. From Dera’s story, she is being maltreated by her so called parents. Now her birth mother can’t have her because of your life will be at stake..
The best idea is to keep Dera as our own. What if Dera doesn’t want to stay with us?
You know someday Dera will still find out the truth.. How do you think she will see us? Doctor Eunice asked looking worried.
Dera walked in again rubbing her hand on her eyes.. Mummy, she called doctor Eunice,Can you please call my Dad to tell him I am safe?
Doctor Eunice looked at Peter who looked back at her.** :
Dearest....I encountered something peculiar today Madam Sonia said looking at her husband Dermian.
Tell me about it Sonnie, Dermian said flipping the pages of his newspaper.
I met this little girl in the hospital today when I went for my charity visit as usual.
You always see many little girls during your charity works. So tell me what's so peculiar about her Dermian asked folding the newspaper and moving his concentration towards his wife.

The Doctor who is the new guardian of the little girl had told me how the little girl was involved in an accident and lost her memory. When I touched her, it felt like I've known her all my life. I just felt some connections with her and would really like to see her again Madam Sonia said and sipped the glass of juice in front of her.
Kelvin half brother to Dermian walked into the house. He had brought in some documents for Dermian to sign since he wasn't available in the office.
Good evening brother in-law Sonia greeted with a smile.
Kelvin the half brother of Dermian has always hated his elder brother Dermian. But has been pretending in his presence. Years ago, their father caught his mother on the bed with another man. Kelvin's mother begged his father to forgive her but he insisted on her leaving his house. Kelvin's mother committed súïç*dé because she couldn't stand the shame. Kelvin was deeply pained because it was Dermian who told their father about it.
He decided he was going to get back at Dermian for what happened to his mother. It will be a double win for him because he will have the wealth all to himself.
So when Sonia took in, on the seventh month. Dermian travelled out of the country for a one month official business trip. Kelvin made sure his stay abroad was delayed so he can carry out his plans.
Good evening Sonia, how are you doing Kelvin answered with a smile. He took the documents and handed them over to Dermian to sign.
After Dermian was done signing the papers, kelvin left the house saying he had an emergency.
Dermian turned back to his wife...Sonnie my dear, why not suggest to the Doctor to let you stay with the child since you felt some connections with her.
