FARIDA Episode 39 by Oge’s Stories
Farida couldn’t remember her hometown anymore. She was amazed when she was ushered in to see her father and his family. Alhaji’s brother, Farida’s uncle, had taken over the running of the business and grew it to enviable heights that the family was revered. It was a day of joy for the family as their long lost children had returned home, hale and hearty and most importantly, very successful. Their brilliance was the talk of their community.
Farida was a beauty to behold. She was also classy and sophisticated. The uncle and family stared at her for a long time as she stood out from her other family members. Her mother’s father and his family were very tall people. They were so proud of her that the family met and agreed to go the extra mile to impress those coming to marry her.
She and her brothers went to see their surviving grandmother. She was so happy to see them. She came alive when her daughter came back into her life. Iya Farida had told her she would be returning with her to Lagos after Farida’s engagement. The family agreed so she could receive all the help she needed. Iya Farida’s inheritance was also handed over to her. She had a property in Ilorin. She made arrangements to put it in order and rent it out.
Sam was shocked on the day of the introduction. The number of people from bride’s family was unbelievable. It was done in her father’s house. He was present but was ably represented by his brother. Farida never told him she was from an affluent home. All she said was that she was disowned by her father and never saw him again. He believed her mother was the cause of her lot in life. Why would she leave such an affluent man with her children just because he threw a few punches? She trained her children in penury meanwhile they were entitled to a lot. What he didn’t know was that Alhaji, Farida’s father, lived a life of spending as it comes. He made so much money but spent frivolously. He wasn’t interested in training his daughters who will end up as slaves to men. He trained his sons but when the tragedy struck, none of his sons was old enough to take over. His last brother who he educated was the one who stepped in and with the knowledge he had acquired and the right connections, they were telling a different story.
The introduction went well and all those in attendance went home with goody bags. This was just the beginning. There was food everywhere you turned. Who cooked so much food for a small occasion? Sam was yet to be amazed.
The day of the engagement arrived. Farida’s uncle insisted she stayed in his house to get ready for the engagement. She took her bath and as she stepped into the bedroom, she could see some transformation. The bed was adorned with beauty she had only imagined. There was a bridal floral aso oke made with shimmery threads, heavy gold necklaces and bangles. She was asked to sit down and lali was drawn on hands. It was allowed to dry before she was dressed up and was completely beautified.
Monica stared at her friend as she dressed up. Farida was getting a fairytale wedding; if only she was having it with the right person. She had heard rumours that she knew Farida didn’t know about. She knew Farida was in love and wouldn’t listen to reason. She tried to get Wale to intervene and surprising Wale refused to. He said he knew the marriage was a mistake but he believed Farida will weather the storm it brings. She is a tough girl. Why does she have to suffer before enjoying? She was disappointed in maami. Why didn’t she put her feet down concerning the relationship and marriage? Was it the wealth she was looking for? But, Farida’s family was also very comfortable. Sam was a user and he would manipulate and use Farida until he is tired and dump her.
“Any last advice before I do this?” Farida asked which jolted Monica back to the present.
“If I say don’t do it, will it be good enough?”
Farida laughed and said, “I am serious”.
“Well, I am serious too. Let me tell you this and listen to me carefully. You might have to give up your career for Sam. Is it really worth it?”
“I love him and I will give up any thing that will not affect my values for him if I have to”
“You will give up your job?”
“I don’t have to give up my job. My boss helped me secure a position on the team of a joint venture between NNPC and other Oil companies in Akwa Ibom. I will be representing NNPC. It was for a more senior officer but he stood his grounds for me to be there. It is his wedding gift to me”
“You are thinking. I thought you would want to be a housewife”
“Eventually, when the kids start coming”
“I would advise against that”
“Monica, I want to build a good home. I want to be there for my kids; cater for them and train them to be enviable citizens of the country. I can’t do that successfully while working. I need to step back and allow my husband lead”
“Farida, I hope one day you will discover your worth. You are an asset to the nation but you just want to settle. How many boyfriends did you have before you settled for sweet talking Sam? I have advised you, don’t give up your career; you will need it. You know I love you”
“I love you too”
The engagement was for the high society. Who is who in Kwara state was present. Sam kept wondering what was going on. The wedding planner reported back to him that the family of taking over some more responsibilities and adding to what they had. It was like he was catapulted out of his body somewhere else. This wasn’t what he envisaged. It disrupted his plans completely. He wasn’t marrying whom he thought he was marrying.
Sam didn’t know he and his family had to ‘beg’ for his wife. They insisted he would lie down and beg. He was told she won’t be given to him if he doesn’t. He thought it was a joke until Farida’s uncle told him if he doesn’t do it, they would just make merry but won’t bring her out, His pride was in the way but he also didn’t want to miss this opportunity.
His parents were quite impressed with the family Farida was from. The hall had women adorned in expensive laces and gold jewelry. The event beat their imagination. Souvenirs were all over the hall. They were largely outnumbered and each group wore similar outfits called aso ebi. Each group had things to give away.
When Farida was finally ushered in, she was escorted by equally beautifully dressed ladies. She was ushered in with dancing. As she stopped at her parents’ seat to receive her blessing, her family members began to spray her money. As her uncle prayed for her they answered with money being sprayed. Sam’s family watched in amazement.
Sam beheld his Arabian princess. He couldn’t stop himself from smiling and the guests observed his excitement and there was an uproar of laughter and joy. The uproar distracted the couple who were in their own dream world. It was a beautiful day for everyone.
That night, Farida was to spend it with Sam but unfortunately, her monthly cycle was on and so it was postpone until the next week after the Civil marriage. Sam, overwhelmed with so much emotions, told Farida,
“You re the most beautiful bride I have ever seen and I love you so much. I promise you today, I will never disappoint. You are my pride and my joy; you will remain so forever”
Tears flowed from Farida’s eyes as Sam made those promises to her. Back in her room, Monica asked why she was crying and she told her what Sam promised her. She lifted her nose up and said in a low tone, “It will be short lived. Isn’t he someone I know”?
The civil wedding took place as expected. The fairytale was completed on that day. A limousine picked a beautiful bride from her home. Even Wale, who missed the engagement, was quite impressed by the amount of glamour. Farida looked delectable. She wore a simple long body fitted white satin dress with drop sleeves. It was very simple but on Farida’s body it was exquisite as she showed off her beautiful curves. She packed her beautiful full hair into an elegant bun and had some white decorative pins arranged around the bun. She wore silver 5” cover shoes, a feathery hand fan and her bouquet was an arraignment of beautiful red rose. Her mother appealed to her to wear less make up as she looked prettier without her face being caked. She agreed and it paid off. Her make up was simple and flawless. The only thing that stood out were her red lips.
Wale stared in admiration of his best friend. She was indeed beautiful and his heart broke even further. He was alone with Farida and Monica while she got ready; that was what Farida requested for. Monica could see Wale get emotional so she excused them.
“What do you think? I wanted something simple”
“You are beautiful and it suits you perfectly”
Farida smiled shyly. She was happy she made this choice. She saw Wale didn’t look happy so she asked, “What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know. I really didn’t believe you couldn’t wait for me. I thought when I get back then we can have a proper relationship. Why didn’t you wait for me? Didn’t I mean anything to you?”
“I think this is the wrong time to do this”
“I love you Farida; I love you very much. I want your happiness that’s why I won’t stand in your way although I am actually heart broken. But I promise you today, I will stand by you. If you need anything, anything Farida I will give it to you. You want anything done; I will do it for you. Being married doesn’t change anything. You are like my sister and I will treat you as such. All you need to do is call and I will be there. My love for you has been converted to brotherly love. Let Sam know you have an elder brother”
“O Wale” Farida practically ran into his arms and the tears were released. When they had both calmed down, the makeup artist was called in to adjust her makeup. She heard Wale’s hand while she did that. She didn’t know how much he loved her until this moment. She loved him too but not in the way he expected to be loved.
Sam couldn’t wait for the reception to be over. He couldn’t believe Farida was all his. The wedding vows were taken at the reception venue. When he saw her, he had to catch his breath and so did everyone at the reception. He expected a more glamorous wedding gown but what she wore and her delectable figure got him confused. Farida had blown his mind during the wedding that he wondered whom he was marrying. She was a beauty. She was worth every effort. His friends and relatives were green with envy. As the MC made a joke, he felt like telling him to cut the crap and let them end this celebration. He had work to do. They were to go to Uyo the next day for another reception before they leave for the Bahamas for their honeymoon. When the MC gave the microphone to the Governor of Sam’s state who was the Chairman of the occasion. He kept making speeches. Sam was pissed. This wasn’t a political rally.
“When this young man told me he would be getting married to a lady from Yorubaland, I thought he had a nut lose in his head. Alas, I didn’t know he was building himself up politically. He told me there was uniqueness in diversity. For us as a country to unite, we had to interact and one of the ways was marriage. When I asked him to invite the young lady, he said she was out of the country and instead called her on phone. She sounded very intelligent. You can’t impose on someone when it comes to love. I still didn’t understand why he would go all the way to Kwara state to marry a lady when the whole world knows Akwa Ibom has the most beautiful and well cultured women. Today, we can see the reason why. Apart from being intelligent, she is beautiful”
Monica smiled and locked eyes with Farida. If only she knew what she was getting herself into. She looked amazing quite alright but she feared that her beauty will fade just like her mother’s did while with her father. It was a beautiful wedding. She wished she was the one there with Francis. Francis hadn’t contacted her again since that day. She was saving all she made so they could have enough when he finally comes back to her.
Wale could see the raw lust in Sam’s eyes. He dreaded the outcome. Farida was all smiles; she didn’t know what awaited her.
Later that night, Wale was awake. His mind was going riot. What was Sam doing to Farida? Did he kiss her? Did he run his hand over her body? Did he undress her and lead her to the bathtub to soak and relax from all the stress of the day? Did he lead her out and take her back to the bedroom and plant gentle kisses on every part of her body starting from her head to her toes? He could remember the feel of her bosom against his chest. Sam was having all that. He didn’t deserve it and it hurt Wale even more.
Sam had booked the honeymoon suite of a luxury hotel for their first night. He couldn’t believe what he had. Farida looked stunning. He wanted to have her immediately they get into the room but then he remembered, she hadn’t had sex before. He had to be gentle. When they got into the room, she excused herself to take a shower. She took into the bathroom a small bag. She came out a few minutes after wearing a white long satin lingerie. She had removed her makeup; she looked angelic and innocent. It set his groins further on fire. She laid on the bed and never lost eye contact with him
Sam went into the bathroom and took a quick shower. He wore the bathrobe and joined her on the bed.
“I can’t believe you are lying next to me” Sam whispered as he lowered his lips unto hers. It did wonders to her body as it has always done. He pulled her close to him while she closed her eyes. “Open your eyes. Watch me give you pleasure” he ordered. She opened them and watched him lower his head deep down the cut of the cleavage of her lingerie. Her nipples were already at attention pushing against the fabric. He shifted the fabric away to reveal her left breast. It was not large neither was it small. It filled his palm and was still standing. He descended on the nipple. Farida couldn’t believe the amount of pleasure that gave her. He did same to the second one while his right hand found its way down the lingerie. He pulled it up and parted her thighs with his hand. As he placed his finger in-between her legs he couldn’t believe how wet she was. She was ready for him. He took off the bathrobe and guided her hand to his erect phallus. Farida tried to pull away but he held it back there. The feel of her hand on his skin sent more sensation his way. He parted her legs wider and penetrated her. He was able to enter without hindrance although she was very tight. He was surprised he had easy access and he thrusted further into her. He gave a few more thrust and couldn’t control himself anymore, he ejaculated.
Immediately Sam removed his attention from Farida’s breasts and stroking her private part to him getting in-between her legs, she lost interest. He seemed to have enjoyed it but she didn’t. She didn’t have any ecstasy. Worse still, he collapsed on top of her when he ejaculated and remained there. She was breathless but felt it wasn’t right to shove him off her body immediately. It took a few minutes before he stood up from her and kissed her on the lips before going to the bathroom.
“Won’t you clean up?” Sam asked when he joined her. She went into the bathroom but didn’t know what to do. She didn’t enjoy her first night. Was it because of what happened to her? She sat on the toilet seat for a while before she undressed and had a shower again. By the time she got back, Sam was already asleep. It wasn’t her expectation.
“Our new wife, how was your first night?” Monica asked on their flight to Akwa Ibom state.
“It was ok”
“Don’t tell me both of you didn’t scatter the place”
“Monica!”
“Sorry o. But you are not beaming like someone who was well panel beaten last night”
“This is too sensitive to talk about abeg”
Obviously, Farida was shy. But she was worried at the lack of spark in her eyes. But then she saw Sam beaming with smiles and being loving to Farida.
The reception in Akwa Ibom was a big one. Sam’s people gathered in the compound to see their bride. They came bearing gifts. It was fun.
Farida was still tired from the activities of the day before so she asked to be excused while she went to Sam’s room to rest. It was strange staying in his room. It was her first time of entering it. It had too much of a masculine feel to it. She had to do up the place before she relocates. She hadn’t told Sam yet that she was relocating, she wanted to surprise him with it.
There were talks outside the door. Farida checked the time and saw it was past 8pm. She tiptoed to the door to listen in on the conversation.
“She was not a virgin. You told me she was”
“Did she ever tell you she was a virgin?”
“She didn’t but she said she wanted to have sex only after marriage”
“I am surprised because from 100l until she met you, she hasn’t been with any other man. Didn’t you enjoy her?”
“It was ok except that she’s stiff and she made me do all the work. If she is not a virgin do I now have to teach her how to please? She just laid there while I did my thing. Even the village girls don’t behave like that”
“She is not sexually exposed; you have to teach her. She is a fast learner. And since she loves you, she will learn. Wait, I hope you gave her pleasure or you just wanted o disvirgin her?”
“Trust me now. Have any of your babes ever complained?”
“Farida is different and you should approach her differently. And please don’t cheat on her. Even if you are going to, please not now”
“Then advise her to learn how to please a man. Her beauty captivates and moves me but the act doesn’t give me the satisfaction I want”
“I know what to do”
Farida went back into the room as she heard some movements. Maami predicted this. She was hurt. How could Sam discuss their sexual life as though she was just a lay? She fought back the tears as she walked into the bathroom. Did she make a mistake marrying Sam? She loved him and he claimed to love her. She remembered her mother’s last words of advice before the wedding.
“Marriage is not a bed of roses. You will see things your mouth can’t say. I never enjoyed mine because I didn’t choose my groom but you have made a choice and you have insisted Sam is the one. If he strikes you once, leave and never look back. If he never strikes you then you can work with whatever he presents. You are a smart girl. You are mature and tough. Learn how to love yourself first before others. Put yourself first before others. Don’t be forced to accept what you know you can’t take; it will only lead to doom in the long run. Don’t quarrel with your husband, don’t fight with your in-laws especially. Be the perfect daughter-in-law so that when issues arise, they will stand with you. Give to people around you. Take care of your domestic staff very well. Show them love and you will be abreast with the happenings in the family. It is wisdom my dear. They will fight for you without you realizing it.
Make your husband happy always. Food they say is the access key to a man’s heart. Make sure you prepare his meals yourself; he won’t have a taste for another. Sexually satisfy him. Farida, you have to learn how to please your husband so his women won’t snatch him from you. After food, the next thing a man wants is sex. Give him when and where he wants it. But you have to know when to withhold it and when to release it. Sex can be used as a weapon or bargaining tool.
When the children come along, do not forget your first love. It is important you know where to draw the line. Bring them up to appreciate values. Teach them everything you know and ensure they are exposed to much more. You grew up in the ghetto; don’t ever forget there. Go back and add give back to the community that made you. Farida, Wale talked about going for your Masters’ degree. I think you need to go back. Further your education so you can grow in your chosen career path. Always ensure you are relevant to your husband, your children, your in-laws, the community and the state. Be relevant in the country. Also, wealth isn’t everything. A good name is better than silver and gold”
FARIDA Episode 40 by Oge’s Stories
Farida knew she needed someone with experience to talk to. She had to put aside her shyness and find a solution. She didn’t like the insinuations Sam dropped when he was talking to Monica. The marriage hadn’t started and they were already having problems. She stayed in the bathroom and called her mother. Iya Farida was excited to hear from her but when she heard the tone of Farida’s voice, she knew there was a problem. She asked Farida to tell her the problem. Farida told her everything.
“That’s a small problem. My mother would have a solution to this problem. Farida, your husband will fetch water from your well only. Don’t worry. Postpone your honeymoon by a week so we can get the items we will use”
“Maami, are you sure?”
“My daughter, I have never used it but maami boasts about it. My father didn’t marry another woman after he married her. He didn’t have concubines like most men. She suggested it for you but I declined thinking all will go well. I forgot you had no experience and wasn’t prepared for this. Don’t worry, we will sort this out”
Farida believed her mother. She didn’t actually have a choice but to hold firm to her words. She had to postpone the honeymoon otherwise it will be a disaster. She didn’t understand why people made so much fuss about sex; it wasn’t a very pleasant experience altogether. Initially, she enjoyed it but later she wondered what happened. She would go out of her way to make sure Sam was satisfied with her. He must not complain about anything. She became excited again but then she knew she had to devise a way to postpone the honeymoon by another week. She hatched a plan.
Sam came to her that night. She pretended to be asleep and he attempted to make out with her. She refused telling him she was tired and didn’t feel well. Sam was upset she refused his advances. He wanted to force himself on her saying, “Don’t you know you are my wife? I can have you anytime I want you”
“I will advise you not to try that. It wouldn’t be in your best interest” she answered.
Sam was seeing a different person from the lady he was with earlier. She had a stern look and was quite assertive as she spoke. Even the tone was threatening. He asked, “What do you mean?”
“I am not having sex with you tonight or any other night soon. You have shown me disrespect by discussing our sexual and private matter with a third party. Don’t attempt to deny it; I heard you. Sam, did you ever ask me if I was a virgin? Did I ever tell you I was or I was not? If someone else gave you the impression, then why take it out on me? I would have preferred you spoke to me about it. I would have explained to you but for what you have done; I will never explain. That said, postpone our honeymoon for a week, I have somethings to do before we go. I have been transferred to Akwa Ibom so we will be residing here together”
“What the heck are you talking about?” Sam asked obviously irritated.
“Which of them ticked you off? My relocating here? I will be living with you as husband and wife. I will stay where my husband stays. I will not have a long distance relationship and then have a long distance marriage. We have to stay close enough to get to know each other better and intimately. We can’t do that if you are here and I am in Lagos. I thought you would be excited”
“Excited about what? You didn’t discuss with me before you took such a step. We agreed you would remain in Lagos while I stayed here until we relocate to Abuja when I win the House of reps election. Why then did you have to transfer down here? Are you suspecting me or something?”
“We are a newly married couple and we need to stay together. You told me you loved me and I love you too. I want to be with the love of my life always. When the opportunity was given to me, I took it. I thought you wanted the same thing so I decided to surprise you with it. Sam, I want to be with you every day and every night. That’s my heart desire. We need to make a few adjustments to this place though”
“We are moving to the other wing. It is like a duplex of its own. It is bigger than this place. Father insists we have our own private space”
‘Splendid! Our minds are working together. I will have to get an interior person to start work before we go on our honeymoon. It should be ready before we come back”
“Some work has already commenced there. If you are cancelling the first week of the honeymoon then we would only be there for a week. I have to resume work almost immediately”
Sam looked at his wife. She looked so innocent and sweet. Why did she have to listen in on their conversation? He really wanted to have a go so he could sleep calmly. He tried his luck again. “Baby, I’m sorry I talked about us to my sister. I had expectations that weren’t met. Now that is aside, come closer let me make love to you”
“Sam, I am not feeling good honestly. I need to take something” she then asked offhand, “Will you be coming with us to Lagos?”
“No. I’m staying back here since you cancelled the trip” he replied angrily.
“Fine”
The next morning, she went to inspect their new wing. It was a three bedroom duplex attached to the main building. It had its own entrance. It was much bigger and more spacious than the other wing. Some structural adjustments had been made to the Master bedroom. The sanitary wares had been replaced with modern ones. The kitchen cabinets were also being replaced. The painter was around when she came inspecting. Farida chose the colours she wanted. She went through the magazines given to her to select everything she needed for the house. Sam had bought all the electronics the apartment needed himself. Farida had to attend to the furnishing and the kitchen fitting.
As she was discussing with the workers, her father-in-law came in. She greeted him and he responded. He then said,
“This place would have been ready a long time ago but Sam insisted on getting his own place outside this compound which I objected to. He is my first son and he can’t live outside his ancestral home like a pauper. It took him time to agree. Don’t worry, the contractor is very good. Before you are back from your honeymoon, the place will be ready”
“Thank you sir”
‘Don’t call me sir; call me daddy”
“Thank you daddy”
“Sam told me you have been redeployed here. I was happy to hear that. That’s why this place must be ready before you get back. Select whatever you want here and it will be made available”
“Thank you sir”
‘May I ask why you moved the honeymoon by a week?”
“I have some work to do in Lagos which includes handing over. Once that is sorted, we can go”
“I hope Sam didn’t offend you. If he does please report him to me and I will handle him. Whatever it is, please let me know. This marriage cannot fail. I have told Sam the same thing”
“Sir, sorry dad, he didn’t offend me. I also want the marriage to work. We want it to work. Don’t worry about us”
“You are a wise girl. I never objected to you because I know you are capable of changing Sam. He is a difficult person but I know you have the capacity to manage him. We men have what we cannot do without from our woman. Find what Sam can’t do without, what another can not give him and you will have him for life”
Farida pondered on this thought for a long time. She didn’t know what Sam couldn’t do without concerning her. It can’t be sex; he says she is bad at it. Is it food? The women here can cook well. What could it be? She kept it in mind. She was determined to find out soon
On the flight to Lagos, Monica and Farida sat together and had a chat about Sam and Monica’s conversation.
“I would have sworn you were a virgin”
‘I was”
“So why didn’t he meet a barrier?”
“I don’t know”
“Farida you know but you don’t want to share. When you are ready you will tell me”
“He said I am very bad in bed. To be candid it wasn’t what I expected. I didn’t enjoy it as well”
“Babes talk about Sam’s prowess but you are claiming not to have enjoyed it. This is a first and it is his wife. You don’t have experience and Sam will not be patient to teach you”
“So, what do I do?”
“You have to learn to please him. Think more about his pleasures than yours for now. You should surrender to him anyhow he wants and anytime”
“See, marriage is just once for me. I told my mother about it and …..”
“How can you discuss sex with your mother? That’s too personal to share with her”
“She has more experience and she knows how to get a practical solution not your lecture”
‘If not that I am travelling tonight I would have loved to hear the practical solution”
Maami was happy to see her daughter. She had contacted people and they were sending down the remedy.
“Maami, I wonder how you allowed a man do that thing to you over and over when you weren’t enjoying it. I need help maami. I want him to have sex with me and enjoy it. Sam can cheat on me if I don’t get this right”
“Everything will be fine. Put your mind at rest. The only thing is that you have to obey instructions. I promise you; it won’t fail you. He will not think about another lady except you. They are bringing it from Kogi. I know it works. It takes three days to work according to her. You will take it three days before your trip. Once you leave for your honeymoon, it will start work.”
Farida spent her time researching. She believed her mother would help her out of this dilemma. There were many more rivers to cross and she knew it.
Sam tried every way to have intercourse with Farida before their trip but she refused asking him to wait patiently. Sam was getting frustrated. Why was she hoarding it? Isn’t it what he will enjoy when they get to their destination? He refused to talk to her on the trip from Nigeria but she didn’t seem to care. She completely ignored him and focused on the task ahead, Sam wondered what kind of woman she was. He was going to tell her about her bad behavior of ignoring him when he ignores her. She was supposed to beg him and appeal to him to talk to her but she ignored him too.
On their arrival at the Paradise Island in the Bahamas, they were driven to a beautiful luxury private resort. Farida loved the place. The scenery was so appealing. They were taken to the honeymoon suite which had been prepared for them. Farida left him alone in the room and went for a walk around the resort. People stared at her as she walked around. Some took pictures of her and with her. She explored until almost nightfall when Sam came looking for her.
Sam couldn’t understand Farida. She left him unhappy and took off. When he was tired of sulking, he went looking for her. She smiled when she saw him which gladdened his heart but he was still upset with her. They had dinner before going back to the room. Farida took her night bag into the bathroom, she had her bath and dressed up before she came out. Sam watched her enter the room in a light blue lacy lingerie which her mother asked her to wear on the first night. Sam couldn’t take his eyes off her as she came into the room. She walked past him as she went to drop her night bag. Farida climbed the bed knowing his eyes were following her like a hawk waiting for its prey. She prayed it worked this time. Sam worked into the bathroom and was out in a jiffy. Farida was shy so she turned off her bed lamp.
He joined her on the bed. He tried to kiss her but she moved away. He held her and dragged her closer. “Why are you doing this to me? Ok, I’m sorry. I want you. I desire you. I love you”
Before Farida could say anything, his lips were on hers. He kissed her. He tasted something fruity from her mouth and lips which were appealing to him and made him dive deeper into her mouth. His hand travelled around her body while he kissed. He stopped and helped her remove her lingerie. Her eyes were still closed. “She wasn’t a virgin so why was she shy?” Sam wondered. He kissed her breasts as he beheld them in his hands. When he found his way between her legs, she was soaking wet. Sam stroke her a bit more and the wetness was flowing, he had never had such experience before. He tried to hold back but he couldn’t. He penetrated her. The pleasure he felt as he thrust drove him crazy. He couldn’t believe the sweetness he was feeling. She had closed her eyes again and he didn’t like that. He stopped and turned her to the side to said, “Open your eyes. I want you to look at me as I do this” and he thrust into her again. It went on for a few more minutes before he was spent. Farida tried to stand up to go and clean up but he stopped her. He held her close to him which made her smile. She had gotten him where she wanted him. It was long after she felt something hard poking her back. She stood up. She told him she had to take a bath before he goes again. He was surprised but he agreed. For every time they had a round of sex, she took a bath immediately after. He later found out it was a Muslim thing. When she came back, she went on her knees. Sam was shocked to see her take that position, he didn’t allow it waste. The spent the whole night taking different positions before they were exhausted and they finally fell asleep.
They woke up very late the next morning because of the activities of the night. Farida felt good. She could see and feel the satisfaction in her husband. She had a bath and dressed up before waking Sam up for breakfast. Breakfast was had by the pool side before they walked hand in hand along the shore of the sea. The strolled further to a quiet place where they sat down to talk.
“Farida, I love you. Last night was amazing. So you had been reserving these skills until now. The first night is always the best night”
Farida was still uncomfortable talking about sex. She followed her mother’s instruction on how to take the herbs she brought. They were supposed to make her excited and make her private part satisfying to her husband that he would always come back for more. It happened just as she said it. She also cautioned her not to tell anyone. Farida, on her own, bought books on how to satisfy her husband. She also did more research online. She watched Karma sutra videos and put them to practice last night. Sam was talking all through their sexcapade. He kept saying he couldn’t have enough of her. He professed his love for her repeated last night. It made her understand what her mother said, good sex can hold a man,
“But there is something I don’t like about you” Sam added.
‘What is it?” Farida asked quite apprehensive.
“When I am upset with you and ignore you, you do not ask for forgiveness or ask what is wrong. Instead you ignore me also. Why do you do that?”
Farida relaxed and let out a chuckle. Then she said, “Sam, you are not a kid. I do not believe an adult should sulk just because he didn’t get what he wanted. I believe an adult should talk about issues and resolve them than throw tantrums or sulk. When my brothers behaved like that, my mother never entertained it. They were kids. Grown men shouldn’t behave like kids. What do you then teach the children?”
Sam felt like a little child while she spoke. He realized he would never win an argument with Farida. Her arguments were always constructive and intelligent. She was intelligent and a great lover, what more did he want?
The honeymoon week went so fast. Sam insisted they stayed in Lagos for another week before going back to their home. They lodged in a hotel and Sam was having the time of his life with his wife. He observed she was never tired. He was the one that was getting exhausted. But she never complained or agreed to talk about their sex life. She was always shy with him. She would shrink almost into the wall if he walked into the bathroom while she was taking a shower. She always dresses up in there too. The only time he saw her naked was in bed. He didn’t fuss; he liked it.
Their married life resumed when they got to their new home. The house was lovely and very homely just they way Farida wanted it. She left the sitting room for the bedroom. It was just the way she imagined it would be. The walls were painted a mix of silvery gray and peach. The bed was in the middle of the room. There was a long couch by the side, their wardrobe on one side of the wall leading to the bathroom. Her dresser was on the other side while her dressing table was beside it. There was a small rug in front of the bed.
Her kitchen was sizeable and spacious. The cabinets were finished wood. She had a large case cooker, brand new pots, pans, plates and every other kitchen utensil. Most of the utensils were from the wedding gifts given to her by her family. She was happy. She didn’t really have time to get acquainted with her new environment as she would be resuming work after the weekend.
