“Your husband survived the shots and has also recovered. He was just lucky the bullets missed his heart. Emm just some fracture on his ribs in which we already took care off. So he will live” the doctor rasped out lurching from his sullen look to a glint smile.

“Woow.. ,reallyy ?” Mirabel and Eliza yelled in surprisal. Not even at ease to let the doctor finish talking before they stampeded inside the ward Temi was admitted. Happiness hovered on their faces as they saw him stirred on his bed with a weak smile. His head was bandaged all over but excluding his nostril and mouth for respiration. The bandage was meant to cover the sore on the hollow on his eye socket till it healed up.

“Temi are you there ? Baby .. Talk to me .. My son are you okay ? How are you feeling” Eliza and Mirabel was whelmed with emotions and raptus as they vellicated all his body. While torrent of tears flowed freely from their eyes.,

“Mum” Temi called out groping for Eliza’s face like a blind man he was.

“Yes my son.. Im here .. Plss talk to me” Eliza said stifling cloud of tears looming to pour.

“He loves you. I mean Dad loves you. Everything he did,he did it for you.. He was misled. He thought you were dead and i was responsible for it reason why he did this.. Plss forgive him .pls”

“Its okay son.. Its okay. The best thing happening now is that you are alive. Okay.. i love you son.. I really love you ” Eliza snivelled.

“Ook mum.. So what did the doctor say about my eyes ?” Temi asked holding tightly to Mirabel and Eliza.

“Baby.. Don’t worry about what doctor say. You’ve got mom here.., you’ve got me here and you’ve got our unborn baby too So Temi.. You don’t need to worry. We all love you in spite of your blindness.. Okay” Mirabel uttered tearfully..also kissing Temi all over.

“He can still see.” The doctor’s voice rang out from a corner of the room.”There is hope of him using the sight again.. It only requires an eye transplant.. And then a donor who is ready to donate his eyes for him. And i think that’s where the problem really is” The doctor finished with lisp of gloominess in his words.

Everyone swooned in cogitation on hearing the doctor’s disclosure. Even though there was tinge of hope for Temi using eyes again but not without a lenity of a donor.

“So if there is a donor for Temi, he will see again? Mirabel asked again..

“Yes madam” The doctor answered..

“I will donate mine” Mirabel said with a gutsines look.

“My daughter..you don’t have to. I’m old enough already.. And even happy i have the opportunity of seeing my only son before i die. Now.. If mine eyes are the only gift i can give to him ..im ready to give him.. He is my son.. And i’m ready to do anything for him”

“No mama.. Temi may be your son.. But he is also the man i love. The father of my unborn child.. Let me do this ..” Mirabel was saying when he was snapped short by a strange voice.

“Maybe you people don’t need to fight on who to donate her eyes for my boy.. I caused all this on him and i’m ready to pay for it. I will donate my eyes for Temi” the voice blurted out making Mirabel, Eliza, Inspector Lance looked at the entrance to peek at the talker. It was Nurse Tracy and a man that stood at the entrance of the room. But Eliza almost conked out off life gawping at the man standing beside Nurse Tracy.. This was the man he thought he had died more than 30years ago.

“Hello Eliza ..,Longest time.. im sorry for what i did to you .. Just hope you will forgive me.. Ok ?” He paused to smile at Eliza who was still drooling on where she sat.. “And don’t bother donating your eyes for my boy because that is why i’m here today” Tunde Ogunyemi voiced out dauntlessly with an aura of familiarity and usual gutsiness oozing out from his words.

He had a white bandage wrapped round his forehead, and his two shoulders hanging steadily on the solace of plaster of Paris ..
